The next day, Ryutaro and the others were preparing to attend the wedding to rescue Alice. However, before they left:
"Here, take this," said Ryutaro, handing over a tiny earpiece he had just purchased from the shop. Everyone was confused, except for Miyuki.
"What is this?" Grace asked, holding the earpiece.
"Right, I've never seen anything like this," Aurelia added.
Miyuki, who had received her earpiece, immediately answered Grace's question.
"This is called an earpiece. It works like telepathy, but it's much more practical," Miyuki explained.
"Then why not just use telepathy?" Aurelia asked.
"I'm worried they might have anti-magic equipment, so I prepared this instead," Ryutaro replied.
"Hmm, you're right. If they have anti-magic gear, our plan could fall apart," Grace agreed.
Everyone put the earpieces in their ears.
"Alright, Charlotte, go ahead. Take care of the Queen," said Ryutaro.
"Don't worry, I'll keep the Queen safe," Charlotte assured him.
