A night of healing later and Haunter in tip top condition, the next morning we were floating across the water on the back of Koraidon.
It was nice, I had thrown on a pair of swimming shorts and enjoyed the cool water on my legs as we swam. The weather was nice and warm with a cool breeze.
Perfect weather!
"Hello little one." I said as I softly rubbed a Magikarp who popped up out of the sea, for the moment we had been just slowly drifting forward, Magikarp while a little ugly, wasn't so bad.
Reaching into my bag, I grabbed a couple Oran Berries and gave them to Magikarp who made some happy sounds and accepted one more rub before swimming off.
How peaceful.
"I spoke to soon." I muttered as I saw a Pidgeot fly in and scoop up the Magikarp. However I knew that was an excuse for death, as Magikarp started glowing and I gestured for Koraidon to start moving.
I was about to have Haunter fire a shadow ball off, but the evolution had begun. So now we were all watching as the tiny Magikarp evolved into a massive Gyarados and fired a hyper beam at the Pidgeot who just barley dodged out of the way and flew off using quick attack.
However all four of us tensed up when Gyarados turned to us, and by the grace of Arceus, it didn't start firing hyper beam at us. I was ready to order Koraidon to fucking jump and Haunter to spam Hypnosis, however it wasn't needed.
Gyarados acted like a puppy and laid down in front of us and I hesitated before gently rubbing its head and tossed a few Oran Berries into its mouth.
"Aww your a good murder machine aren't you?" I was immediately treating this Gyarados like a giant water puppy and it was happy that way. So I'd treat it like the giant murder puppy it was right now.
"You wouldn't mind helping us find some Lapras would you? I heard there's a pod of them around here." I asked Gyarados who titled their head before nodding and swimming and I gestured for Koraidon to follow.
With this swimming nuclear bomb, we were set without worry. Unless another wild raging Gyarados appears. Maybe I should have taught one of my Pokemon the Thunderbolt TM Surge gave me for winning the gym battle.
Too late now, ok well no, but I'm not gonna dig for it. Time to enjoy myself.

For four hours we journeyed the sea, meeting many Pokemon, my nuclear puppy blasting everything in our path.
I did think about catching Gyarados, but I don't think either of us would actually be happy about that. He's a good puppy though, it'll be sad to depart from him.
Hmm, idea.
I started digging around my backpack, however I heard Gyarados call out and saw a pod of Lapras, hundreds upon hundreds of them all in small groups. Chatting away with each other and other pokemon nearby.
"Lapras!?" I heard multiple of them cry out in slight fear at Gyarados, almost all of them, however I noticed one had this look on its face, as if ready to fight, however this one was by itself.
Target found. This one wanted to battle.
"Hello there!" I called out happily as Koraidon moved forward. A few of them swam up to us and sang a song of greeting.
"I was wondering if one of your pod would be interested in joining me. I'm seeking to journey the world and battle. Will any of you be willing to join us?" I asked and waited patiently before the same Lapras I saw swam over to me and stared at me, and I grinned.
It's time to catch me a Lapras.
"A battle first eh?" I asked and Lapras nodded and I nodded before looking at Gyarados who leaned down and let me climb onto his head.
"Koraidon, I choose you!" More like she was my only option. Eevee couldn't move in water properly, and Haunter was still recovering, Nurse Joy would spawn in and have my head if I made him battle.
So now Haunter and Eevee sat atop the nuclear puppy with me.
Lucky for me, Orichalcum Pulse was already active and bearing down, I had taught Koraidon to enable and disable her ability to let natural weather happen. Normal Pokemon with weather changing abilities didn't have that issue as it usually only reached the field, Koraidon could make entire cities be blanketed in the sun light of her ability.
"Start with a [Fire Spin]!" I called out as Koraidon shot out the fire from her hand at Lapras who used [Water Pulse] to block the move before following up with [Mist]. A good thought, but useless against us, at least against Koraidon.
"Koraidon use [Agility] into [Body Press]!" I called out and Koraidon shot out the water, taking to the air momentarily before flying down towards Lapras who happily swam out the way of the attack and watched Koraidon slam into the water and into it.
"[FLAMETHROWER]!" I yelled out knowing she probably couldn't hear as well underwater. Then a moment later Lapras was hit with red hot flames as steam covered the area.
"Koraidon!" I heard my ace call out in pain as she swam out the steam covered area and a patch of ice covered part of her back.
Well played Lapras.
"Koraidon use [Sunny Day]. It's time to bring the heat." I called out as Koraidon glowed momentarily before it got hoter and brighter.
Oh yes, it was good too since the ice started melting.
"Lapras!" I heard before a giant beam of water flew towards Koraidon, [Hydro Pump] no doubt.
"Down into the water!" I ordered and Koraidon dove down. "Use [Dragon Tail]!" I called out before Lapras was hit from underneath by the move and lifted out of the water momentarily before landing.
Lapras started scattering water on itself and I saw it healing.
[Life Dew]
What an annoying move, but it only makes me want them on my team more.
"Koraidon, it's time to start giving it our all. Combo FCA!" I called out grinning.
What exactly did that mean you might ask?
[Flamethrower] into [Agility] leading directly into [Collision Course]. I had planned for things like this. Admittedly we didn't have a ton of cool combos yet, but we'd get there.
[Flamethrower] was a distraction, it was intended to make Lapras use [Hydro Pump], which it did. With it momentarily exhausted from that large use of energy, Koraidon would use [Agility] to increase the speed of using [Collision Course] to cause even more damage.
The plan worked great.
Lapras floated there unconscious. It's breatheren swarmed it casting [Life Dew] and quickly healing them up.
