Ignatius Leclair spoke in a low, seductive voice: "If everything goes well, I'll have Maximilian contact the director tomorrow, and you can join the cast."
Delphine froze for a moment, and before she could react, Ignatius Leclair's thin lips pressed down onto hers, the fragrance of red wine filling the air. Delphine felt as if she couldn't breathe.
She moved back slightly, her expression changing. This was a villa, and Mrs. Li was still around. Even if someone was feeling amorous, shouldn't they at least consider the time and place?
The man chuckled lightly, then picked her up and carried her upstairs.
When they came downstairs, Mrs. Li was carrying a tray with freshly made tonic soup. She took Delphine's hand, her expression cheerful. "I never expected that young master would come back the very day Miss Delphine moved in. Looks like I need to buy more groceries from now on."
Mrs. Li's dry yet warm hands held hers. Delphine simply smiled and didn't say much.
