Lily Turner originally planned to wait a few days before confronting the Thompson Family parents, but Henry Thompson and Jenny York didn't give her the chance to delay. They first taunted her online and over the phone, and now they had retaliated against her work.
She couldn't continue to sulk in the hotel, otherwise who knew what those two would do next to attack her.
In the evening, after disguising herself, Lily left the hotel and took a taxi directly to the Thompson Family home. Henry wasn't at home, only Mr. and Mrs. Thompson and the family servant were there.
Lily's sudden appearance immediately provoked Mrs. Amber Wood's dissatisfied questioning, "Lily Turner! You still know to come? I thought you..."
"Just stop for now, let's talk after we clear things up." Mr. Charles Thompson interrupted his wife's words, then turned his gaze to Lily Turner who had just walked into the living room, "Lily! Have a seat first before we talk."
As he spoke, he pointed to a spot on the sofa, signaling Lily to come over and sit.
Lily glanced at Amber Wood, only to see Amber rolling her eyes at her. She paused slightly but didn't respond, instead, she walked over and sat down on the sofa.
"Uncle! Aunt!"
Even though Henry Thompson had wronged her, she didn't want to involve his parents. Lily wasn't one to confuse right with wrong, so she politely greeted the Thompsons after sitting down.
Since the wedding day had passed over half a month ago, if it weren't for Charles Thompson stopping her, Amber Wood would have already gone to the Turner Family to confront Lily. With Lily coming to them voluntarily today, Amber wouldn't hold back.
"Lily Turner! What's going on? Why did you run away from the wedding? Have you gotten involved with another man?" She was blunt, paying no mind to Lily's feelings.
"Amber!"
Charles loudly called his wife's name, giving her a somewhat displeased look. He turned his head to the slightly distant Lily Turner, his face switching from dissatisfaction to apology in an instant, "Lily! Your auntie is talking nonsense, don't take it to heart."
"Uncle, I'm fine."
Lily didn't have the energy to care about these things right now; she came today to resolve matters, not to argue with anyone.
Seeing that Lily didn't mind, Charles finally felt relieved, "Lily! What happened that day? Why didn't you come?"
He didn't believe a word of what was said online. He couldn't fully trust his son's one-sided explanation either; he needed to hear how the other party involved explained it.
"Henry got involved with another woman."
Lily spoke quickly, fearing that if she spoke slowly, she wouldn't have the courage to say it. Her words were harsh, and her tone wasn't pleasant either. After speaking, she carefully observed the reactions of the Thompsons.
Upon hearing this, Amber immediately wouldn't have it, raising her red-painted fingernail to point at Lily, "Don't talk nonsense, okay? What's your evidence for saying this? Our Henry isn't the type to fool around, unlike you, who associates with all kinds of shady men every day."
Her son was well-behaved, so how could he possibly mess around outside?
"I'm not talking nonsense. I have evidence."
Lily took out her phone from her handbag, opened the message and photo Jenny York had sent her, then handed her phone to Charles and Amber.
