Chapter 32 - C32 - A Day of Destruction

The sorry son of Mia Jaywalker rested his banged-up head against his pillow. After a few minutes, he once again fell into a deep sleep.

The next morning, he woke up at the usual time- 7AM. He had asked the Researchers to begin work at 7AM so that he could meet with them around 7:45 each morning.

Preparing quickly, he managed to leave the house by 7:20. Luckily, Leiva wasn't worried about people trying to beat her up every mroning, so he always got the first shower.

"Razer, let's go!" Grabbing the not-so-rebellious just-so-adorable space whale, Luke teleported to meet his new research team.

This time, he teleported into the hall outside the lab before opening the door.

"Everyone! Attention please!" Kitah shouted. "Sir, they're ready for you."

"A-hem! Thank you, Lieutenant Commander."

"I have given you all preliminary equipment. Let me know what you need to take the research farther, and I will help you acquire it."

"The main goal of this research operation is to take the unique DNA of the space whale and implant it into other mammals and fish in the tanks behind me. I don't care which animals you use, just make sure that the new genes are soon ready for human trials."

"The door behind me is the door for human trials. It is currently off-limits. When the time comes for human trials we can discuss it then."

"If you have any requests, you can file them with Kitah and she can forward them to me. Any questions?"

He peered out among the staff. "Good! I hope you all acclimate fast and complete this trial quickly. The faster we can move forward, the faster we can gain military contribution points."

"Our path forward lies solely in how many contribution points we can achieve. If we research enough intelligence vital to the military, I will be able to put the most outstanding researchers as subdivision heads to run their own projects."

"Is everything clear?"

"Yes sir!"

"Alright then. Carry on. Kitah, with me."

He walked over to the Human Trials inner door. A small lobby area separated the two doors.

Speaking with Kitah, he made sure everything was running properly. It seemed to be okay, so he let her get back to it and walked into his inner sanctum.

Five clones waited for him. This time, they looked just like Luke, eyes included. They each took one of the fabricated black traveller's cloaks and one of the giant grey undershirts with really big holes in the armpits.

Thankfully, they were already wearing their baggy black trousers.

"Alright boys! Here's the game plan."

Several minutes later, a crowd of pilots were laying on the ground, having fallen in battle. A smug man crossed his arms. With the other set he ate a filled cup of popcorn.

Leiva and the admiral came in several minutes later. "Done already, eh?"

"You got it, boss. Want some popcorn?"

"No, not today." The grand admiral thought for a moment before again mustering his voice.

"As for the main benefits of these trials, you seem to be avoiding them. The rules state that as long as you don't get knocked out, you win for the day. …How about tomorrow, you come by yourself?"

"Sure, why not? I could use the experience anyways to learn how to use my new arms more properly."

At this point, Luke stuffed another piece of popcorn in his mouth. He chewed for a minute, then mentioned casually, "I might need new weapons training as well."

Leiva stared him down. A short moment later, a series of medics came in and rejuvenated the pilots.

As they stumbled to their feet, the pilots looked gruffly at the four-armed individual standing in front of them.

Tad shyly rubbed his short black hair. "You don't see that every century."

"No, you don't." Lawrence murmured. His aching ribs were quickly rejuvenating his mind.

Once the healing bots made their way around to all of the EX pilots, the admiral spoke. "Today, Luke will be undergoing scans to develop and train his new body structure further, as well as taking the beginning steps in undergoing his mech training. Lawrence."

The stout pilot spoke. "Let's go."
