Shortly after, Aurora joined Tina in the dining room.
The room feels chilly even though the house has a sophisticated central heater.
Her eyes landed on Alex's empty chair. While she didn't mind his absence, Tina asked her nearly every day why Alex never returned home.
Each time Tina asked, Aurora replied with a random answer, and at times, she even found herself lying to Tina. This made her feel even more regretful.
"Young Miss, please hurry and finish your breakfast. You don't have much time," Tina reminded her, noticing that Aurora was lost in thought and eating too slowly.
Aurora smiled as she continued to eat her sandwich and sip her coffee.
She wanted to enjoy her breakfast, but strangely, the thought of Alex still preoccupied her mind.
'Should I check his schedule? Is it okay if I do that?' she wondered.
