Aurora noticed him clear his throat while looking away.
"Are you done here?" Alex asked, not even glancing at her.
"Yes, I am done." She felt slightly puzzled as she remembered the man just a moment ago, looking at her with such an unfamiliar, loving gaze.
Now, though, his expression had changed back to a blank look, as if that special moment had never taken place at all.
"Okay, let's go!" He turned back and walked toward the parking area, leaving Aurora speechless.
Despite everything, Aurora remained by his side. She honestly didn't want to dampen his mood. It could be exhausting to fly nearly three hours to the capital if his mood took a nosedive once more.
