After hearing the initial warning and speaking with his parents, Jack didn't stay silent.
He wanted the truth.
Not just bits and pieces, everything.
"Tell me all of it," he said, his voice steady but firm.
James and Emma exchanged a brief look, their eyes dark with worry. Then, with heavy hearts, they told him what most didn't know about the classified information relayed through the Guild's internal channels.
The chaos. The suddenness. The eerie silence before the storm.
The Beast Tide hadn't come from the usual outskirts; it had surged from deep within Jakartha Forest's heart. And the worst part?
The source… was still unknown.
Jack didn't speak for a while.
He just stood there, brows furrowed, lost in thought as the air around him felt heavier and thicker.
Then, without changing tone, he said, "Dad. Mom. You two stay here. I'm heading home."
Both James and Emma blinked.
"What?" Emma asked, startled. "Jack, why?"
Jack turned to them, his voice calm but layered with resolve. "If all three of us stay out, Sofia's going to get scared. She's still a kid… Even if Ava's there, she won't understand. I'll explain it to them and I'll be back before evening."
A moment of silence.
Then James exhaled sharply and placed a firm hand on Jack's shoulder.
"Alright. But don't be late. Be careful out there… son."
Jack gave a faint nod.
Then
WHOOSH!
He disappeared through the Guild's doors, wind brushing past as the tension behind him lingered like a shadow.
…
Fifteen minutes later.
THUD.
Jack's boots hit the stone steps of his home as he pushed open the door.
The moment he stepped in
Ding!
A light chime echoed as the door's enchantment activated.
"Jack!" Ava called out, rushing to meet him.
In the corner, Sofia sat curled up on the couch, clutching a pillow tightly to her chest. A floating magic screen hovered in front of her, glowing with emergency news:
[City Alert: Incoming Beast Tide – Estimated Collision Time: Unknown]
This is a Magic Device that works on Same principle of Tv or 3D virtual Screen on Earth.
Jack's eyes softened.
"Sofia," he said gently.
She turned and the moment she saw his face
"Jack!!"
BAM!
She leaped from the couch and ran straight into his arms, nearly knocking the wind out of him.
"Is it true? Is the Beast Tide really coming here?!"
Her voice cracked.
Jack lowered himself, kneeling with both her and Ava beside the fireplace, the orange embers flickering quietly in the background.
Then… he told them everything.
Every terrifying detail. Every uncertain moment.
The more he explained, the tighter Sofia clung to him.
She was only 8 years old after all.
And the world was already trying to take away her safety.
"Please…" she whispered, her voice shaking. "Please don't go, Jack… I don't want you to get hurt. I don't want to lose you…"
Jack remained silent, his hand gently brushing her soft hair.
But before he could speak, Ava stepped forward and knelt beside them.
"Sofia…" she said softly. "If Jack doesn't go… he'll never grow stronger."
Her voice was gentle but unwavering.
"This city isn't safe. And the world we live in isn't kind. If Jack faces it now… he'll come back stronger. Strong enough to protect you when it truly matters."
Sofia looked at her teary eyes wide, glassy, lips trembling.
And then, slowly… she nodded.
Still clinging to Jack's coat.
Seeing Sofia's tear-filled eyes and trembling hands, Jack gently ruffled her hair and chuckled softly.
"Sofia… you're such a crybaby," he teased with a warm smile. "It's okay. I'll be fine."
Sniff!
"Hmph! Who's a crybaby?!" Sofia pouted, puffing her cheeks and glaring up at him with teary defiance.
PFFT!
Ava tried to hold back but failed. Jack couldn't stop either.
"Pfft…HAHAHA!"
The room erupted with laughter.
Even Sofia, despite herself, let out a tiny giggle, though she quickly buried her face in Jack's chest again still pretending to be mad.
Jack hugged her tighter.
For a moment… Everything felt normal.
Even outside, the storm was brewing.
Still not ready to let go.
Jack gently pulled her into a full hug, heart heavy.
He didn't say it out loud but at that moment, he made a promise.
I'll survive this. I'll protect you. No matter what.
What Ava don't know, what none of them knew…
Was that today would mark the beginning of a storm.
Not just a beast tide.
Not just another battle.
Something huge… was coming.
Something that would shatter the rules,
ignite the world, and give birth to a name that would echo across the Samsara World like thunder in a quiet sky:
Jack.
And when that name was spoken
Even gods would listen.
Everything change in Jack's life, there is going to be something big happening to him. It's change everything for Jack and He give true horror to Samsara World with that change.
Jack life change in every way from today onwards. He will create legends no matter where he goes.
--------
Jack had his lunch quietly.
The clinking of utensils echoed faintly in the room, but no one really spoke. Ava sat beside him, offering him occasional glances. Sofia didn't say much either; she simply clung to his arm, her tiny hands gripping tightly, as if letting go might make him vanish.
The air was thick with unspoken words.
After finishing his meal, Jack rose from the table and gently patted Sofia's head. Without a word, he walked upstairs to his room and lay down to rest.
…
Hours passed.
Tick… Tick… Tick…
The wall magic clock chimed softly as the evening crept in.
By the time Jack opened his eyes again, the sun had already begun to sink behind the horizon.
The golden-orange glow filtered through the curtains, painting the room with a warm, yet somber hue.
He stood, took one long breath, and walked downstairs.
Ava and Sofia stood by the door waiting.
He hugged Sofia tightly. No words. Just emotion.
"Stay safe," Ava whispered.
Jack gave a small nod, then turned and stepped outside.
Creak!
THUD.
The door closed behind him.
The sky was painted in warm tones of crimson and fire-orange. The wind blew gently, brushing against his cloak as he walked.
By the time he reached the Adventurer's Guild again, it was exactly 5:30 PM.
But this time…
BOOM!
The place was even more crowded than before.
Voices overlapped, footsteps echoed across stone floors, and tension swirled in the air like a rising storm.
Jack moved through the crowd, scanning the area and then, he saw them.
James and Emma stood near one of the designated meeting zones, their expressions relaxed, but alert.
But they weren't alone.
Two strangers stood beside them no, not strangers… comrades.
The first was a tall woman with fierce, hawk-like eyes and a longbow slung over her shoulder. Her stance was confident, her fingers calloused, her leather armor worn but well-maintained. She radiated the calm of a seasoned hunter.
The second was a massive man easily past six feet, with a muscular frame and skin covered in battle scars. His gauntlets were heavy, made of reinforced steel, and his eyes calm… yet dangerous.
Jack approached.
James smiled first. "Jack, meet our old friends."
Emma added, "They're married like us. We used to take quests together, back in the day."
Jack's curiosity faded. These were trusted people.
He bowed slightly in greeting. "Nice to meet you both."
The woman smiled. "Likewise."
The man gave a grunt of approval. "He's got his father's Aura."
But then
CRACK!
The atmosphere changed.
A powerful pressure suddenly descended across the Guild.
WHOOMPH!
BOOM!
It felt like the very air had thickened, vibrating with raw might.
Heads turned.
Chatter died instantly.
Every adventurer in the building paused, even the high-ranking Ascendants of Samsara world's native eyes locked onto the stairs.
Thud… Thud… Thud…
Footsteps echoed as a towering figure descended from the upper floor.
A man 6.4 feet tall, built like a fortress. Broad shoulders, rippling muscles beneath dark battle gear, and a heavy aura that felt like a mountain pressing down on the soul.
His hair was jet black, his eyebrows sharp like blades, and his eyes one black, one white pierced through the crowd like divine judgment.
A massive shield hung on his back, and a long, brutal sword sat at his right hip.
Every step he took carried authority.
Dominance.
Power.
The building was dead silent.
Someone whispered under their breath.
"That's him…"
"The Guild Master…"
Jack stared at him, breath caught in his throat.
This wasn't just a man.
This was a wall, an unbreakable fortress standing against whatever chaos threatened the city.
And Jack suddenly understood
Things were about to get serious.
