Felipinho felt the ground vanish beneath his feet. Everything spun. A flash, a scream, and then… darkness. When he came to, his shoulder ached, and the strong smell of old wood and mold hit his nose.
They had fallen.
Felipinho, Marina, Diegola, Drica, DJ, and Grilo were in a dark dungeon, surrounded by broken wooden crates and barrels rolling across the stone floor.
— "AAAAAH!" — Marina screamed in shock. — "THE KILLER! HELP!"
Everyone looked around in fear, trying to understand where they were. Drica pointed to the corner.
— "Wait, guys… look over there. He's on the floor…"
DJ approached cautiously, observing Grilo's lifeless body facedown.
— "He hit his head on that barrel when we fell."
— "Is he… dead?" — Drica asked hesitantly.
Everyone stared at the man lying on the ground, his face turned to the wall. Marina began to tremble, screaming in despair.
Felipinho ran to her, held her face in his hands, and looked deeply into her eyes.
— "Calm down, Marina… it's okay, I'm here!" — he said firmly but gently.
She hugged him tightly, crying on his shoulder. Diegola scoffed and looked away with disdain.
Drica rummaged through her bag and pulled out her phone.
— "Just as I thought… no signal."
— "We need to find a way out of here, guys," — DJ said, trying to stay calm.
That's when a dark laugh echoed from a cell ahead. An old prisoner, with a long beard and crazed eyes, cackled:
— "Hehehe… get out of here? You're out of luck, kids! You got summoned into this cursed dungeon. I've been locked up here for 50 years… seen folks older than me rot away without ever seeing the sun again."
From a cell beside him, a bald man with wide eyes said:
— "So it's true… I've never seen a summoning with my own eyes before!"
— "In this world, fantastic things don't surprise anyone," — replied the old man from the first cell.
Another prisoner, fat and lying in a distant cell, grumbled:
— "GO TO SLEEP, YOU RATS!"
DJ turned to Felipinho.
— "So now what, bro? Got any plans to get us out?"
Felipinho looked around, discouraged.
The old man stared at Diegola with contempt.
— "Hey, kid… bring anything to eat?"
— "Shut up, you decrepit old man!" — Diego replied.
— "And that chubby guy on the ground?" — the old man pointed to Grilo. — "He's loaded with stuff in his pockets. Mind frisking him for me?"
— "Hey, asshole… that guy on the ground is a FUCKING KILLER!"
— "Killer? Hihihi… You guys really are unlucky! If he wakes up, you're all screwed…"
That's when a scream ripped through the air.
— "AAAAAAHHHH!!!"
A soldier tumbled down the stairs, covered in blood. Right behind him, masked men wearing silver wolf masks and black outfits emerged with torches in hand.
— "What the hell?!" — the bald prisoner yelled.
— "They're not here…" — one of the masked men said. — "Let's get back quickly, the master must be in the main hall."
— "Wolf masks? They're from the Pack…" — the bald one muttered.
The masked men turned to leave. Drica ran to the bars and shouted:
— "Wait! We have gold!"
One of the masked figures stopped and stared at her.
— "Is that so?"
— "She's telling the truth!" — said another. — "Look at her jewelry!"
Their eyes locked onto Drica's earrings and bracelets, and Marina's necklace.
— "Hand everything over!" — they demanded.
— "Only if you let us out!" — Drica replied boldly.
Grumbling, the men walked over to the dead guard and grabbed the keys. They opened the cell, and Drica and Marina handed over their jewelry. The men left silently.
— "Girl, you're a genius!" — DJ praised.
— "Thanks, handsome," — she replied, smiling.
They rushed out of the cell. The old man screamed:
— "Wait! Let us out too!"
Diego looked back with disdain.
— "Who's unlucky now?"
The group ran up the stairs and through a long hallway that split into two paths. To the right, they saw the masked wolves entering.
— "Which way now?" — Drica asked.
— "If the wolves went right… I'm going left!" — DJ declared, taking the lead.
They took the left path and reached a large balcony.
— "Whoa… it looks like a medieval fortress!" — Felipinho said, stunned.
— "Anyone still doubting we were teleported?" — Drica asked.
Ahead, a vast forest surrounded the fortress. Only one road was visible.
— "What now, bro?" — DJ asked Felipe.
— "Damn it! Stop asking Felipe, he's not our leader!" — Diego exploded.
— "Get a grip, Diego! This whole situation is a mess!" — Marina shouted, crying.
— "Shit! It's Felipe this, Felipe that! Enough! I'm out of here!"
Diego ran off. Marina chased him.
— "Don't split up, you idiot! We don't even know where we are!"
The two burst through a door… and found a great hall, with a red carpet leading to a dark throne. In front of it stood a tall masked man in a black trench coat and hood.
He turned. A chill ran down Diego's spine.
Without warning, the masked figure leapt like a grasshopper, kicking Marina. She tumbled across the floor. Diego tried to punch, but the figure didn't flinch. Instead, he delivered a flurry of strikes and a violent kick to Diego's stomach. Diego collapsed, gasping.
Two more masked men appeared. One grabbed Marina by the hair.
— "What do we do with them, master?"
Felipinho, who had been chasing them, stopped at the doorway. He was about to shout — but Drica pulled him back and covered his mouth.
— "Quiet, Felipe! Are you crazy?!"
They watched from the wall. Another masked figure arrived, dragging a dwarf dressed as a cook.
— "Where are they?!" — the master roared.
— "I don't know… I swear!" — the dwarf begged, trembling.
— "We've already killed all the guards," — another masked figure reported.
The master slapped the dwarf.
— "Where?!"
— "I… I don't know…"
— "Maybe you need some motivation…"
Five masked figures brought in other human cooks. They lined them up on their knees, daggers to their throats.
— "TALK!"
— "I don't know!"
The master gave a signal.
The cooks were executed.
— "Holy shit…" — DJ whispered.
— "So cruel…" — Drica sobbed.
Felipinho just stared in horror.
Another masked man entered:
— "Master, we searched the entire fortress. No sign of the King."
— "They tricked us again!!!" — the master shouted, slamming the table.
The dwarf gave a sadistic grin.
— "Hehehe… this is your end…"
— "Bastard!!!"
— "SMOKE!" — one of the masked men yelled.
From the balcony, they saw knights setting the surrounding forest on fire.
— "We must leave!" — the master ordered.
— "And these two, master?" — asked the woman holding Marina.
— "We'll take them with us… EVERYONE TO THE HORSES!"
— "NOOOO!" — Marina screamed.
Diego tried to resist but was overpowered and dragged along.
Felipinho tried to run, but Drica and DJ held him tightly. He cried. From the balcony, they saw the masked figures riding away with Marina and Diego tied to horses, heading down the main road.
The fortress began to burn. The dwarf got up, ran to a curtain, and pulled out a bag with a rope ladder. He saw the group.
— "Who are you?! Trying to steal my escape?!"
He pulled out a dagger and lunged at Drica. DJ jumped in front.
Four stabs to the chest.
Felipinho ran and shoved the dwarf off the balcony. The body fell, neck snapping. Nearby was a carriage with a horse.
— "We can escape through there!"
Felipe unrolled the ladder.
Drica held DJ in her arms.
— "Go… I'm already seeing darkness… I can't go on…"
— "Come on, Drica!" — Felipe shouted.
She cried.
— "Thank you for everything, DJ. But… what's your real name?"
DJ smiled weakly.
— "Jefferson, babe…"
Drica and Felipe climbed down the ladder, got in the carriage, and escaped down the road.
In the burning dungeon, the prisoners screamed.
Grilo woke up, stood… and walked into the darkness.
