Marek knew with certainty that he was being conned. It was something of a matter of pride for all demons to read people.
Freydis might be dead, but she wanted to come back to life. Marek also knew what happened to ghosts who got a body, somehow.
They rotted. Spread disease.
But Albert needed a tutor who could teach him more about magic. Magic, which was too delicate for Marek to master.
Healing magic.
"And the mana has to be colder, Albert! You combat heat with cold," the woman didn't know her stuff.
But Marek was certain that Albert was suffering her presence only for the mana circulation she was showing him.
Something she was a master at, or so he thought.
"Ok, and now what? The fish is dead," Albert countered. The ghost just touched the dead fish, and it turned into a block of ice!
"Now we have snacks for the dragon!"
Albert furrowed his brows. He had been trying to save the poor animal all this time, and Freydis just wanted to turn it into an ice pop?
