Opal's POV
This was, without a doubt, the most ridiculous thing Ash had ever made her do.
And that was saying something.
After dragging her through half the town, he had now stationed them in the middle of a bustling outdoor market, where wolves from different packs were shopping, chatting, and—according to Ash—probably holding her one true love.
Opal was deeply skeptical.
Ash, however, was on a mission.
He stood beside her, arms crossed, scanning the crowd with laser focus.
"This is a great place to meet people," he said, nodding to himself. "Lots of packs gather here. High chances of running into someone important. Maybe even your mate."
Opal raised a brow. "Are you looking for a mate for me… or for yourself?"
Ash scowled. "Don't start."
She grinned. "You're listing off available men like you're a matchmaker."
Ash ignored her. Instead, he gestured subtly toward a nearby fruit stand, where a tall, broad-shouldered wolf was examining a bushel of apples.
