Part 1: Elements vs Velocity
The moment Velocity charged, Hikaru barely had time to react.
A gust of wind blasted past him–
And then–
BAM!
A fist slammed into his gut, knocking him off his feet.
Hikaru crashed to the ground, gasping for air.
"HIKARU!" Haruto shouted.
Without hesitation, Haruto snapped his hand forward–
A torrent of water surged from his pouch, aiming to trap Velocity.
But–
WHOOSH!
Velocity was already gone.
Before Haruto could even blink–
CRACK!
Velocity appeared behind him and landed a brutal kick to his ribs, sending Haruto flying into a wall with a grunt of pain.
SHRAKK!
Moriya stomped the ground–
Vines and roots burst upward, twisting violently toward their target.
But Velocity–
Moved like a phantom.
He weaved through the attacks effortlessly, his movements a blur as he dashed across the open courtyard.
"H-He's taking advantage of the space," Moriya muttered.
Then–
BANG!
A loud crash echoed through the air.
Velocity had slammed directly into a wall.
Hikaru, Haruto, and Moriya's eyes widened.
"What… just happened?" Hikaru asked, stunned.
"I'm not sure," Haruto said, confused.
Velocity groaned, slowly getting up from the impact. "Ow."
He dusted himself off, glaring at the three Elements.
Then he muttered to himself–
"Tch… Even now, I still can't fully control my speed."
Enji's P.O.V.
As the battle raged outside, Enji stood just inside the house, watching through the open door.
His eyes widened.
Hikaru's body… it was glowing.
Light shimmered from him like a second skin.
Haruto… water flowed around him, twisting and dancing like it had a mind of its own.
Moriya… roots burst from the earth at his command, rising like tendrils of nature itself.
Enji stared in disbelief.
"How are they doing that?" he thought.
Then–
A realization struck him.
Could it be…?
"Ikazuchi can do something like this too?" he muttered under his breath.
Suddenly–
ZOOM!
A blur streaked past the yard.
Enji snapped back to the fight, watching Velocity move at impossible speeds–
Only to crash into a fence–
Then into a wall.
Yet, somehow, he kept running.
Enji furrowed his brow.
"Is it just me," he thought, "or can this guy only run in a straight line?"
Meanwhile with Teshii and Ikazuchi
Teshii and Ikazuchi were still sitting on the bench in the city park, completely unaware that Velocity was already fighting the other Elements back at the house.
"So…" Ikazuchi glanced at Teshii. "What does Hikaru think about you and Hikari?"
Teshii chuckled. "Oh, he's definitely mad."
Ikazuchi laughed. "Figures."
Teshii smirked, leaning back against the bench. "Though… I do want to see his reaction if I kissed Hikari."
Ikazuchi gave him a sideways look. "You are so evil."
Then–
Teshii turned his head. "What about you? What do you really think about your old man?"
Ikazuchi's expression shifted.
He looked down at his hands.
"…I'm not sure," he muttered. "I mean, I hate him – but I don't know if that's the whole truth.
Teshii let out a long sigh. "Well… want to hear my opinion?"
"No."
Teshii grinned. "Too bad, I'm saying it anyway."
"I just said no."
"And I just said I don't care," Teshii said smugly. "Listen – talk to your old man."
"Why?" Ikazuchi asked, his voice flat, eyes staring forward.
"Because…" Teshii's tone dropped, more serious. "I get the feeling he's hiding something."
Ikazuchi turned to look at him. "…What?"
"I think," Teshii continued, "you should talk to him before it's too late."
Ikazuchi just stared, uncertain.
Then–
BOOM!
An explosion erupted in the distance.
Both of them snapped to their feet.
"What the hell was that?!" Ikazuchi shouted.
Teshii's eyes sharpened. He turned toward the horizon and pointed. "Zeus, look!"
In the distance – toward the direction of Ikazuchi's home – there was light. Bright, golden light."
"Is that…?" Ikazuchi said.
"It's Hikaru," Teshii confirmed. "They're fighting. It has to be Velocity."
Ikazuchi's heart skipped.
His dad was still there.
"We need to go. Now!" Teshii said.
Ikazuchi clenched his fists and nodded.
"Right!"
Without wasting another second, the two of them bolted from the park, sprinting back toward the house.
Back to the battlefield.
Back to the Fight
Smoke.
Thick plumes of it drifted through the air, rising from the cratered battlefield – remnants of Hikaru's Illuminate Blitz.
"Damn it…"
Hikaru was breathing heavily, sweat trailing down his face.
Haruto and Moriya stood at his sides, both panting, barely holding their ground.
ZOOM!
A sharp gust of wind tore through the smoke.
Velocity appeared in front of them – completely unharmed.
His suit was spotless. His smirk, intact.
"Well, well…" he said, voice cocky. "Is this really all the mighty Elements have to offer?"
From the house, Enji's eyes widened.
Elements?
"What the hell is he talking about…?" he muttered under his breath.
Velocity pointed directly at Hikaru.
"And you – what was that pathetic beam earlier?"
He tilted his head. "You completely missed me."
Hikaru chuckled, despite the fatigue. "That… wasn't an attack."
Velocity blinked. "Huh?"
"Illuminate Blitz wasn't meant to hit you," Hikaru said, rising to his feet with a slow, confident smirk. "It was a signal. A signal for Teshii and Ikazuchi."
Velocity's eyes widened behind his visor. "What?!"
"They'll be here any second now," Hikaru continued. "And once they are… this battlefield becomes ours."
From the house, Enji stiffened.
Teshii and… Ikazuchi?
Why would Ikazuchi being here change anything?
"And one more thing," Hikaru added, his gaze sharpening.
"I figured it out. Your running… it's always in a straight line."
Haruto blinked. "What?"
Hikaru nodded. "He can't turn while moving at super speed."
Moriya frowned. "But… back at the park, he changed directions just fine."
"You're right, Moriya," Hikaru said. "But to do that, he had to slow down first."
Realization hit Hrauto and Moriya like a wave.
"So… that means–" Haruto began.
"–he's not as invincible as he thinks," Hikaru finished.
Across from them, Velocity's smirk faltered.
His gloved hands clenched into fists.
"Tch… damn it! They figured it out."
The wind stilled for a moment.
Because now, the tide of battle was about to turn.
Part 2: Change of Direction
The three Elements stood still, eyes locked on Velocity.
Hikaru could feel it – he couldn't see behind the goggles, but he knew.
Behind that smooth-talking confidence… there was a flicker of something else.
Anger.
Hikaru smirked. "So… did I hit a nerve?"
Velocity's smile snapped.
"SHUT UP!" he roared.
ZOOM!
Velocity's POV
The world blurred around him.
He dashed forward, running in a perfect straight line. The only was he knew how.
He gritted his teeth.
There it was – another wall.
He slowed down just enough to turn, then pushed back to full speed.
This again…
"If Leader hadn't given me these goggles…" he thought, clenching his jaw, "…I'd still be blind when I run."
Another fence. Another adjustment. Another turn.
He hated slowing down.
But he had no choice.
Because every time he pushed to true top speed…
His eyes started to burn.
The facility echoed with the sound of wind and crashing metal.
BANG!
A young boy with wild black hair slammed into a wall and collapsed onto the floor.
"Ugh… ow."
He sat up, clutching his forehead, blood trickling slightly.
Then he stood.
And grinned.
"Alright… let's try that again."
ZOOM!
He ran again, faster this time–
CLANG!
He crashed full-speed into a cage.
"DAMN IT!
The boy dropped to his knees, eyes squeezed shut.
"My eyes… it hurts too much! I can't keep them open when I run!"
Then–
A voice. Calm. Prceise.
"Here."
The boy turned, startled.
Standing just beyond the training room lights was a man – tall and composed.
In his hands… a pair of sleek, black goggles.
But because his vision was blurry from his super speed.
He couldn't see the man.
But recognized the man.
"Leader…"
The man tossed him the goggles. "They're designed to reduce wind resistance and limit light distortion at high speeds. Try them."
The boy didn't hesitate. He strapped them on.
ZOOM!
The moment he started running, it was like the world came into focus.
No pain. No blur. No blinding wind.
His eyes stayed open.
And when a wall appeared in front of him–
He turned. Gracefully.
"It worked." He smiled.
And the man simply nodded.
Back to the Present
"Ever since that day…"
Velocity's thoughts raced with him as he zoomed across the battlefield, his path carving rigid lines through the direct.
"…I'll do anything to help him. To make his dream real."
His fists clenched tighter.
His anger sharpened.
Anything.
Battle Continues
ZOOM!
Velocity continued charging forward in a straight line, his speed blurring him from sight. But just as he neared an obstacle–
He slowed down.
Hikaru watched closely, eyes narrowing.
"ILLUMINATE BLITZ!" he shouted.
A golden beam of light exploded from his palm.
BOOM!
The blast struck just ahead of Velocity's path, throwing him off balance and sending him crashing into a wall.
Velocity staggered up, gritting his teeth.
ZOOM!
He vanished again.
Hikaru snapped his gaze to Haruto. "HARUTO!"
Haruto nodded. "HYDRO VORTEX!"
A torrent of water erupted from his pouch, spiralling into a vortex. He aimed it perfectly–
WOOSH!
The vortex collided with Velocity mid-run, knocking him off-course and flinging him across the field.
Velocity tumbled, rolling toward the fence near the cliff's edge. He landed on one knee, panting, blood trickling from his lip.
He looked up at the three of them – Hikaru, Haruto, and Moriya – now surrounding him.
"Damn it…" Velocity hissed.
Hikaru stepped forward, calm but confident. "You're fast, sure. But you're predictable."
Enji stood just outside the house, eyes wide in disbelief. These people… just who were they? And why did they want Ikazuchi to join them?
Then it clicked.
"Could it be…?" Enji whispered.
ZOOM!
Velocity suddenly tackled Hikaru at full speed – a last-ditch attempt to turn the tides.
But–
Hikaru smirked. "RADIANCE BURST!"
BOOM!
A radiant explosion of light engulfed the area, launching Velocity backward.
CRASH!
He smashed into the wall, coughing blood from the impact. Dust and smoke lingered in the air.
The tide had turned.
Over the Limit
Velocity was on one knee, surrounded by Hikaru, Haruto, and Moriya.
"So…"
Velocity looked up.
It was Hikaru who spoke.
"What are you going to do now, Velocity?"
He had nowhere to run.
A wall loomed behind him.
In front – three Elements stood ready.
The only option left… was to fight.
Haruto stepped forward. "Considering that Teshii and Ikazuchi aren't even here, I'd say we're doing pretty well."
Moriya nodded. "Yeah."
Suddenly–
Velocity smirked. "Let me ask you a question."
The three immediately shifted into defensive stances.
Velocity's gaze sharpened. "Do any of you have the guts to kill me?"
Their eyes widened.
None of them had ever taken a life.
And in that pause–
In that hesitation–
Velocity saw his chance.
"I thought so."
ZOOM!
He vanished, dashing straight between Hikaru and Moriya at blinding speed.
"Damn it!" Moriya shouted.
Hikaru spun around. "ILLUMINATE BLITZ!"
A blast of golden light erupted from his palm, streaking toward Velocity's path.
But–
Velocity saw it.
Even at full speed, he knew exactly where it was going to hit.
"Damn it! I don't have time to slow down and dodge," he thought. "I have to change direction. But how?!"
As the beam closed in–
A memory flashed.
"The only way to improve your ability…"
"…is to go beyond your limits."
His leader's voice echoed in his mind.
"Go over my limits…"
Velocity grit his teeth.
"That's right. I must go over my limits."
As the Illuminate Blitz approached–
Velocity twisted his body–
And turned.
BOOM!
The balst exploded behind him.
Haruto's eyes widened. "Did… did he just change direction?"
Velocity stood there – still, unharmed.
Breathing hard.
Chest rising.
Eyes wild.
And then–
He smiled.
Wide.
Manic.
Unhinged.
The speedster had gone beyond his limit.
And now–
He was more dangerous than ever.
Dangerous Speed
The Elements – Hikaru, Haruto, and Moriya – stood frozen, eyes locked on Velocity.
Sweat beaded down their faces.
"Did… he just change direction?" Haruto asked, disbelief in his voice.
Hikaru clenched his teeth, heart pounding.
Then–
ZOOM!
Velocity charged, a blur of motion.
Before Haruto could react–
CRASH!
Velocity slammed him into the wall.
"HARUTO!" Hikaru shouted.
"RADIANCE BLAST!"
Hikaru fired a barrage of golden energy, each beam aimed with urgency–
But Velocity weaved between them effortlessly, dodging left, right, even spiralling through the air with new, erratic precision.
Then–
BAM!
A brutal knee to Hikaru's gut.
Hikaru gasped and hit the ground, breath stolen from him.
Only Moriya remained standing.
Moriya gritted his teeth.
He stomped the ground. "ROOT SNARE!"
THWAARP!
Roots erupted from the earth, snaking toward Velocity–
But now… he was untouchable.
Velocity blurred between the roots with inhuman precision.
He wasn't just fast anymore – he was gile.
Then–
BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!
A flurry of punches struck Moriya before he could react.
POW!
A final blow to the chest launched him across the field.
CRASH!
Blood splattered as Moriya hit the wall.
All three Elements were down.
Velocity stood tall, grinning like a madman.
"Well then…" he said. "Let me say it again–"
His eyes gleamed behind the visor.
"Is this really all the Elements has to offer?"
The trio on the ground glared, struggling to stand.
Then–
ZAP!
A bolt of lightning split the battlefield.
BOOM!
A thunderous blast separated Velocity from the others.
Velocity shield himself from the sparks.
"Lightning?" he muttered.
He turned–
And saw them.
Teshii and Ikazuchi.
Sparks danced across Ikazuchi's arms as he stepped forward.
"Hope we're not too late," he said with a smirk.
Teshii shrugged. "Actually, looks like we missed most of the fun."
"SHUT UP!" Ikazuchi snapped, already crackling with power.
Part 3: Sacrifice
Teshii and Ikazuchi had finally arrived on the battlefield.
"TESHII! IKAZUCHI!" Hikaru called out, still on the ground, struggling to rise.
Lightning crackled violently around Ikazuchi's body as he stepped forward.
Teshii, panting hard from the long sprint from the city, wiped sweat from his brow.
"Damn… I must've burned a thousand calories today."
Ikazuchi snapped toward him. "SHUT UP!"
Then his gaze locked on Velocity. Sparks danced across his knuckles.
"So… ready to get destroyed, speedster?"
Velocity gritted his teeth.
"Damn it. They're here."
ZOOM!
Velocity surged forward, a blur charging straight toward them.
Ikazuchi glanced at Teshii. "Got a plan?"
Teshii grinned. "Nope. Just gonna punch him really hard."
Ikazuchi smirked. "Sounds like a plan to me."
As Velocity approached, Ikazuchi slammed his hands into the ground.
"ELECTRIC TERRAIN!"
A pulse of energy surged from his body, ripping across the battlefield.
Lightning shot out in jagged lines, forming a radiant web beneath their feet.
The air shimmered with static, every bolt snapping with raw, electrified fury.
As soon as Velocity's foot hit the ground near them–
ZAAAP!
Sparks exploded upward.
"AAAHHH!"
The electricity surged through Velocity's body like wildfire, freezing his movement mid -run
CRASH!
He slammed into a nearby fence, convulsing, his body twitching from the residual charge.
"D-DAMN IT!" he roared through gritted teeth, muscles locking up.
Teshii gave a nod of approval.
"Nice one, Zeus."
Meanwhile, Hikaru, Haruto, and Moriya managed to get back on their feet, wincing from their injuries.
They'd just witness the power of Ikazuchi's Electric Terrain – and it was unlike anything they'd seen.
"That… was amazing," Haruto said, still catching his breath.
"Yeah," Moriya nodded.
And Enji?
Enji still stood just outside the house, silently watching the battle unfold.
His eyes widened.
"I-Ikazuchi?"
He saw the sparks rippling around his son.
The rackling lightning.
The confident stance.
The strength in his posture.
It was unmistakable.
"…Was that lightning?"
Enji could hardly believe it.
Ikazuchi – his son – was wielding the power of thunder, like Hikaru and the others.
And in that moment…
He saw her.
The image of his wife, flickered in his mind.
Not as a memory, but in the way Ikazuchi stood.
The courage in his eyes.
"H-Haruka…?"
His voice trembles.
His eyes began to shine with something unfamiliar – pride.
But the moment shattered.
"DAMN IT!"
Everyone turned.
Velocity was back on his feet, trembling, but still standing – fighting against the electricity surging through him.
Ikazuchi's eyes narrowed.
"So… that wasn't enough."
Teshii stepped up beside him.
"Yeah, well… careful, Zeus. This guy took down Hikaru and the others by himself."
Ikazuchi nodded. "Then we won't hold back."
ZOOM!
Velocity charged again, faster than before, sparks trailing in his wake.
Ikazuchi braced himself as lightning surged from his body once more.
Teshii stepped forward, eyes sharp.
"This one's for the mochi… you stole."
With a sudden move, Teshii swept low, aiming a kick straight at Velocity's legs–
But Velocity curved sharply, dodging the attack with a blur of motion.
Teshii's eyes widened.
"He changed direction…"
Then – he smiled.
"…Interesting."
SKRRRT!
Velocity skidded to a sudden halt, just barely dodging Teshii's sweeping kick. He glared at Teshii and Ikazuchi, chest heaving, frustration boiling beneath his visor.
He thought he had the upper hand after crushing Hikaru, Haruto, and Moriya.
But not?
With Teshii and Ikazuchi on the field… he was the one being pushed back.
Then–
"TESHII! IKAZUCHI!"
It was Hikaru's voice.
He stood tall again, bruised but burning with determination. Behind him, Haruto and Moriya – recovered and ready.
Now four Elements and Teshii surrounded Velocity.
He spun around, eyes darting.
No way out.
"HYDRO VORTEX!"
Water erupted from Haruto's pouch, spiraling into a crushing whirlpool toward Velocity.
ZOOM!
Velocity dashed aside – just in time.
BOOM!
But–
"Uggghh!" Velocity groaned.
A blast of golden energy from Hikaru struck his flank, knocking him off balance.
"ROO SNARE!"
THWAARP!
Moriya's vines exploded from the earth, lunging toward him. Velocity zigzagged, barely escaping – his movement faster, sharper than before.
Teshii's eyes narrowed.
"He's pushing past his limits… huh."
As Velocity continued weaving between the attacks, his gaze flicked toward the edge of the battlefield–
He spotted Enji standing by the house, still watching.
And then–
He smiled.
A cold, calculated grin.
He chuckled under his breath.
"Time to bring the mood down."
ZOOM!
Velocity tore across the battlefield – faster than ever.
A blur of motion, impossible to track.
"GUYS! BE CAREFUL!" Teshii shouted.
Everyone braced themselves.
Then–
BAM!
Moriya gasped, eyes wide. Velocity appeared right in front of him and drove a fist into his gut.
Moriya collased, clutching his stomach.
"MORIYA!" Haruto shouted.
BAM!
Haruto didn't even see the uppercut coming.
He was sent flying, knocked out cold.
Velocity reappeared in front of Hikaru, teeth bared.
"YOU–!" Hikaru began.
But Velocity grabbed him by the shirt and – ZOOM! – dragged him like a ragdoll across the battlefield.
CRASH!
He hurled Hikaru straight into Teshii – both slammed into the dirt with a heavy thud.
Within seconds, Velocity and taken them all down.
All except–
Ikazuchi.
The Element of Thunder stood alone.
Teeth clenched.
"DAMN IT!"
ZOOM!
Velocity dashed again, a chaotic blur.
Ikazuchi turned rapidly, eyes scanning, trying to predict where he'd come from.
SKRRRT!
Velocity skidded to a stop in front of an old shed.
He looked at Ikazuchi – and smirked.
Taunting him to attack.
Ikazuchi gritted his teeth. "LIGHTNING GUNSHOT!"
With a sharp flick of his hand, Ikazuchi raised two fingers like a gun.
The air cracked.
A searing bolt of lightning burst from his fingertips like a railgun.
BOOM!
The attack missed.
Velocity was already gone.
The bolt obliterated the shed, sending debris flying.
A jagged metal pole from the wreckage clattered to the ground – sharp and angled like a spike.
Velocity saw it.
And grinned.
"Perfect."
Then–
ZOOM!
He started running in circles around Ikazuchi.
Faster.
Faster.
Faster.
A vortex formed – winds howling, the air swirling like a hurricane.
Ikazuchi's stance faltered.
The air pressure dropped.
His lungs couldn't pull in oxygen.
"Urgh – damn it–!" he coughed, staggering.
Teshii, still on the ground from earlier, lifted his head – eyes wide.
His usual smirk? Gone.
"They're cutting off his air supply," he muttered. "He's going to suffocate…"
Inside the whirlwind, Ikazuchi sparked with electricity, trying to blast out a shockwave – but it was no use.
His vision blurred.
His body trembled.
Then–
Velocity's voice echoed through the storm:
"Doesn't matter how strong you are… if you can't breathe."
Ikazuchi fell to his knees, gasping.
Enji, who had been watching the entire battle from just outside the house, stood frozen – his eyes locked on his son, who was suffocating inside a vortex of speed and pressure.
He clenched his fists.
His heart thundered.
His legs moved on instinct.
"IKAZUCHI!"
He ran forward.
Straight into the storm.
The moment Enji broke into the battlefield–
ZOOM!
Velocity abandoned his spiral.
The vortex collapsed, and Ikazuchi collapsed with it, gasping, air finally rushing into his lungs.
But it was too late to feel relief.
Because Velocity had changed targets.
And now–
He stood behind Enji.
Gripping his arms.
"WAIT–!" Ikazuchi's voice cracked.
But he was too slow.
Velocity blasted forward, dragging Enji with him in a blur of wind and speed.
The world spun. The field blurred.
And then–
SKRRT!
Velocity came to a jarring halt.
Right in front of the jagged metal pole sticking out of the wrecked shed.
Enji's body couldn't stop in time.
SHUNK!
The metal pole tore through his back – bursting out his chest.
Blood splattered across the ground.
And time–
Stopped.
The battle went silent.
Even the wind held its breath.
Ikazuchi stood there, motionless.
Eyes wide.
Face pale.
His voice was small – broken.
"…Dad?"
Enji's body trembled slightly, still impaled.
His eyes fluttered.
Blood dripped from his mouth as he looked back – just once – at his son.
And then–
His body went limp.
Velocity stepped back.
Smiling.
