Chapter 20 - Feisty

Until he showed his first signs of the second gender at the age of 11, Luther was treated like an alpha since birth.

-An alpha is supposed to be strong, his stepmother used to say. So you need to train not only your brain, but your muscles too.

So that's what Luther has done since he could remember: he fought. Any type of violent sport: boxing, martial arts, hockey, football, anything that required endurance. He always found it peculiar how his "illness" prevented him from going to school and making friends like a normal kid but not playing these sports.

He hated them. Not because of the pain, but his parents' expectations. Just like academically, he needed to conquer any sport he was practicing even if it was based on a team.

He could swear that the only relief he felt when he lost the honor and love of his family after he showed his traits as a toxic omega was the loss of the burdening expectations.

Yet, here he was standing, squeezed between a locked door and a massive stranger who was threatening to skin him alive and add him to his collection, finally thanking his overbearing parents for forcing him to experience that.

The position he was in was tricky. Given the closeness of their body, he couldn't struggle to break free with a back kick of the groins or a turn and punch. He had a plan of escaping, but he thought of it as humiliating.

"Am I even in a position to choose?"

He sighed. The stranger felt Luther forcefully bending over creating a small space between their bodies. He chuckled thinking of it as flirting.

-You're a little freak, aren't you?

Luther waited for the man to let his hands down to his hips. And, just as he hoped, he did it not suspecting anything. It was the perfect moment.

Luther used all his force to use the door as some sort of trampoline, making both of them stumble back losing balance. He grabbed the opportunity to use his feet as a trap, pushing simultaneously all his weight back on the stranger's body causing him to trip and fall together. The only upper hand Luther had was the millisecond of surprise the man would have on the impact. Enough for Luther to position his elbow exactly under the aggressor's ribcage, aiming for the stomach.

He groaned in pain, instinctively taking his hands off the omega to hold the area that got hit. Luther turned around and pinned down the man with one hand. With the other, he punched the stranger in the nose until he heard a small crack and saw blood pouring. Then he used his bloody hand to cover his mouth, making it nearly impossible for him to breathe.

-I'll let you breathe as you're answering questions. I am not above killing a man so you better behave. Got it?

The man nodded his head.

-Who are you?

-You're next lover.

Luther landed a punch on the dude's jaw. He covered his mouth and pressed.

-Did Claus send you to get revenge on me?

Luther took his hand away. The stranger coughed trying to regain his breath.

-Yes.

-Did you really have Claus Greenleaf?

-Yes.

-Who are you?

-Your next lover.

Another punch in the jaw. Weaker than the last one.

Luther noticed the room starting to spin. He hurried up to the door, fiddling the key trying to unlock it. The stranger calmly cracked his nose back in and took his time getting up. The omega finally managed to unlock the door, but he didn't get to take more than two steps into the hallway before collapsing and hitting his head on the marble floor.

Sanchez wiped his bloody face with the rim of his shirt. He leaned on the door and looked at Luther as he bled from the wound on the side of his forehead. He shrugged his shoulders and sighed.

-I always thought scars make pretty decorations for the face, he mumbled to himself as he rubbed his own from the corner of his eyes.

He grabbed Luther and threw him on his shoulder, making his way down the hallway. The scrutiny boy was waiting.

-The tranquilizers are working more slowly through skin absorption than if they are injected or eaten, he explained when he saw Sanchezms face.

Sanchez chuckled and pulled a 100-dollar bill from his pants pocket.

-Extra for the blood cleaning in the hallway and inside the room. Great doing business with you!

-Good evening, sir! said the boy stealing one regretful glance over Luther and then starting to clean.

"He was so nice" thought the young man as he was scrubbing Luther's blood from the marbled floor. "You should always wear gloves in this part of the town. Sometimes, not even them help tho".

Sanchez threw the unconscious omega inside the back of his car. He shut the door and lit a smoke. He looked down on his now-ruined favorite shirt and scoffed.

-He did say he was feisty…
