"The truth?" Shisui fixed his gaze on Uchiha Obito, now certain that this man's real body wasn't actually here.

Shuuzawa had thoroughly reported Obito's combat abilities, including his technique of hiding in another dimension, only exposing his true form when attacking.

However, Shisui wasn't sure whether Obito could be affected by genjutsu while in that space.

That uncertainty kept him from making any rash moves. For now, he decided to play along and stall, observing the situation before making his next move.

"Yes, the truth." Obito nodded, his deep voice remaining calm. "Tell me, how much do you really know about your teammate, Shigenari Shuuzawa?"

"Shuuzawa?" Shisui frowned slightly. Pretending not to know would be pointless. Shuuzawa had never hidden his connection to Danzo.

From the very beginning, he had been clear about coming from a deep-rooted training program within the Anbu.

Shisui didn't know much about that place, but he was aware that it was under Danzo's control.

"Shigenari Shuuzawa is one of Danzo's men, and Danzo himself is the infamous darkness of the Shinobi World."

Obito smirked, his voice carrying an eerie calm. "As the Second Hokage's disciple, he perfectly inherited Tobirama Senju's hatred for the Uchiha. As Hiruzen Sarutobi's former teammate, he enjoyed unparalleled protection.

"Did you know that long ago, Konoha suffered an incident? The legendary 'White Fang of Konoha,' Sakumo Hatake, took his own life. Have you heard of it?"

Shisui remained silent. Of course, he had heard about it. The incident had shaken Konoha, and Kakashi, his fellow Anbu member, was directly affected.

But what did that have to do with Danzo? After a brief pause, Shisui scoffed. "You just said he committed suicide. Are you trying to claim he was murdered?"

"Murder might not be the right word, but he was definitely forced to his death by the people of Konoha!"

Obito's words came quickly, without hesitation. He didn't have precise details, but some things were never documented.

Instead, he pieced together a plausible story. Danzo's list of misdeeds was endless, and even if Shisui didn't completely fall for it, the revelation of Shuuzawa's true nature would be enough to shake him.

"At the time, Konoha was in a desperate battle, and every mission was critical. But the White Fang broke protocol.

He chose to save his comrades over completing his mission, causing a major loss for Konoha. Given the situation back then, such behaviour couldn't be tolerated.

His fame and reputation were so high that, with the right push, he could have even become a candidate for the Fourth Hokage.

But Danzo—Danzo had always harboured ambitions of taking that position himself!"

Having spent years manipulating the Fourth Mizukage and studying Kirigakure's methods, Obito had become adept at deception.

He wasn't necessarily good at orchestrating intricate schemes, but when it came to twisting facts and mixing truth with lies, he excelled.

"So he controlled public opinion, turning the entire village against its once-revered hero. And with his pride, Sakumo Hatake couldn't endure the shame, so he took his own life."

Obito watched as Shisui remained silent, his expression unreadable.

"Perhaps even Danzo himself hadn't expected the White Fang to actually commit suicide. But once it happened, Konoha had no choice but to let it stand as an example."

"In the end, Danzo faced no consequences for what he had done. This—this is only a fraction of his crimes. Tell me, doesn't this remind you of the current narrative surrounding the Uchiha?"

He smirked. "Do you know who made the final decision to force your clan into a second relocation? Who approved it? It was Danzo."

Shisui had no response. Even though he was wary of Obito's words, there was no denying that they struck a chord.

The fact that Obito was standing before him at all proved that the Uchiha were being falsely accused.

Yet the rumours still spread throughout Konoha, fueling the growing tensions between the village and the clan. And then there was the forced relocation—

"I told you, as Tobirama Senju's student, Danzo inherited his master's ideals. He harbors deep-seated hatred toward the Uchiha."

Obito continued, his tone cold. "That hatred stems from Madara Uchiha, the centuries-long conflict between the Uchiha and the Senju, and all the brothers Tobirama lost in battle."

"Perhaps the First Hokage was able to let go of the past, but Tobirama never did. And neither has Danzo.

"The Second Hokage forced your clan to relocate once. Danzo did it again. But do you really think that will be the end of it? No. They will never trust you."

His gaze darkened. "You naively believed that integrating Uchiha into the Anbu would serve as a bridge between your clan and Konoha."

"But Shigenari Shuuzawa is Danzo's subordinate. Why do you think he became your teammate? Do you honestly believe the Third Hokage wasn't aware of his true identity?"

Obito paused, letting his words sink in before delivering his final blow.

"Stop deceiving yourself. You are nothing. Everything you have done is meaningless. Danzo will never let the Uchiha go, and neither will Konoha. This is your clan's fate."

Shisui fell completely silent. He had no idea how to respond.

His rational side told him that Obito was his enemy, that his words were nothing more than manipulation. But his emotions… his emotions whispered that there was truth in what he said.

"Then what about you?"

After a long pause, Shisui's voice turned cold. "You attacked and framed Shuuzawa. What does that make you?"

Obito shook his head. "I'll tell you this—I did intend to lure Shigenari Shuuzawa into action. But I never planned to kill Uchiha Itachi."

His voice remained eerily steady. "That night, Shuuzawa was trying to draw me out, but I could feel it—he had already made up his mind to kill."

"Let me make this clear: if I hadn't shown myself, he absolutely would have committed murder to erase any suspicion against himself."

"As a member of Root, such things are second nature to him. He would have done it without hesitation."

"And what about the Nine-Tails incident?"

A new voice suddenly cut through the tension, accompanied by the crisp sound of approaching footsteps.

Both Obito and Shisui turned in shock.

There, on the desolate path leading to the Uchiha compound, a lone figure was steadily approaching them.

"Shuuzawa?"

"Shigenari Shuuzawa."

Shisui looked at him in disbelief, while beneath his mask, Obito's expression shifted. Neither of them could comprehend how Shuuzawa had managed to appear here.

Especially Obito. He had hidden himself within the Kamui dimension—so how had this man found him?

...

-5 Minute Before-

Meanwhile, in another part of the village, Yuugao waved at Shuuzawa before turning and running off toward the Anbu headquarters.

Watching her retreating figure, then glancing at Anko's playful smirk, Shuuzawa could only sigh in exasperation.

"Hey, your name is Shuuzawa, right?"

Anko, as bold as ever, draped an arm around his shoulders with a mischievous grin.

"Shouldn't we go after him? This doesn't seem right."

"Anko, that's enough." Kurenai sighed, already feeling a headache coming on.

She knew her best friend's personality all too well. Then, with an apologetic smile, she turned to Shuuzawa.

"Sorry, please don't mind her. You're the one from the last Chunin Exams—"

"Anko-senpai, Kurenai-senpai, hello." Shuuzawa greeted them politely.

Seeing Kurenai's surprised expression and even Anko's recognition, he knew they remembered him.

After all, his use of the Flying Thunder God Technique during the exams had caused quite a stir. If he weren't an Anbu, his reputation would have spread even further!

"So it was you!" Anko's excitement flared as she examined Shuuzawa more closely before breaking into a grin.

"No wonder no one could find you afterward. Turns out, you're just like Yuugao... Forget it, never mind. Want some dango? My treat!"

"Thank you." Shuuzawa chuckled. Anko was certainly an interesting person.

Though she often acted wild and unpredictable, there was no denying her good nature.

However, if betrayed, she would undoubtedly explode with rage. The scars Orochimaru left on her ran deep.

"Maybe next time. I've already eaten my fill. But I appreciate the offer, senpai."

As he spoke, Shuuzawa rose to his feet, preparing to leave. At that moment, he sensed a faint disturbance in the chakra around him.

"What's going on? It feels like a barely perceptible Flying Thunder God mark." Walking forward, Shuuzawa pondered this strange sensation, eventually making a decision.

He would follow the faint trace and investigate. The mark's presence was too weak for him to teleport instantly.

"Could it be that guy—Uchiha Obito?" Shuuzawa raised an eyebrow, considering the possibility. That hazy sense of separation... Only Obito could create something like that!

"But if he was hiding in the Kamui dimension before, I shouldn't have been able to sense him at all. Unless—" A realization hit him.

Previously, his overall physical ability was only at level 7. But after merging with Wood Release, he had taken a huge leap forward!

With his physical attributes now at level 9, every aspect of his abilities had improved, including his sensory perception.

"So, if Obito doesn't remove his markings, I'll always be able to detect them?" Shuuzawa blinked in surprise before quickening his pace.

Facing the 'benevolent' Uchiha Obito, his excitement was fully ignited.

Not to mention, he had long planned to use Obito as a scapegoat while leveraging his presence to practice Wood Release.

Just one encounter with Obito had already granted him a significant number of free points. Compared to Danzo, Obito was far more generous!

[Mission Complete: Contact with Sunagakure]

[Mission Rating: S]

[Reward: 4 Free Points]

Four points were quite a lot, but for Shuuzawa, who required an immense amount to enhance his abilities, it still felt insufficient.

Danzo's stinginess was frustrating, but fortunately, Obito had conveniently presented himself again. This was definitely not a bad thing.

[New Mission Acquired]

[Repel Konoha's Invaders]

Seeing the newly refreshed mission, Shuuzawa nodded. Obito was never disappointed. Not to mention, exposing more of Obito's secrets also revealed hidden missions.

With a 'kind soul' like Obito around, how could Shuuzawa not appreciate him?

His speed was swift as he followed the path leading toward the Uchiha district. Before long, he spotted Shisui's figure.

What amused him the most was that Obito was actually trying to convince Shisui with a conspiracy theory.

True, Obito was definitely a schemer, but his silver tongue had proven effective more than once!

Otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to deceive Nagato. Despite Nagato's constant suspicion of him, he still ended up following Obito's lead and accomplishing many things.

Similarly, Obito had even managed to keep Kisame, an elite ninja, completely loyal.

"Blurring the lines between truth and lies... It really can be convincing. Of course, who knows? Maybe everything he's saying is actually true." Shuuzawa mused internally, but he wasn't planning to let Obito continue.

Clapping his hands lightly, Shuuzawa stepped forward. He could already sense that Black Zetsu and White Zetsu had noticed him.

Staying hidden any longer was pointless—he might as well make the first move. Besides, nearly five minutes had passed since he first detected the Flying Thunder God mark.

"Then what about the Nine-Tails incident?" Shuuzawa smirked. His gaze swept over Shisui's stunned expression before landing on the now-silent Obito.

"How do you plan to explain that? The Fourth Hokage was your teacher. I've read plenty of reports—both he and his wife, Jonin Kushina Uzumaki, took great care of you. And yet, you killed them? You truly are an outstanding disciple, Uchiha Obito!"

"You—" Obito's fury ignited the moment Shuuzawa appeared.

Hearing those words only enraged him further. He had deliberately avoided mentioning the Nine-Tails incident, instead guiding Shisui's focus toward Danzo.

But now, Shuuzawa had directly turned the tables on him. However, Obito quickly regained his composure. He cast a cold glare at Shuuzawa and suddenly sneered.

"Shisui, look at this. This guy appeared out of nowhere. What does that tell you? It means he never trusted you! The Anbu, the Root, the Hokage, and his advisors—they never trusted the Uchiha!"

"Stop being ridiculous." Shuuzawa shook his head, his expression turning mocking. "You may be hiding in another dimension, but I can still faintly sense your mark."

He smirked. "Besides, didn't you just say I'm Anbu? Shisui, don't forget—you are also Anbu."

"Who do you trust more? Me, the comrade who going through countless dangers with you in the Land of Wind, or this lying traitor?"

"Not to mention, he's a wanted criminal in Konoha. Capturing or killing him would benefit everyone." Shisui's mind wavered. But Shuuzawa's last remark struck him hard.

That's right—no matter how strained things were between the Uchiha and Konoha, eliminating Obito was a necessity!

Capturing or killing him would at least resolve one major point of conflict: the Nine-Tails incident. Realization flickered in Shisui's eyes, and his gaze sharpened with killing intent.

"Damn brat—" Obito's anger boiled over, but before he could react, several kunai shot toward him at high speed.

He had been about to sneer in response, but in that instant, a realization struck him. He had been inside Kamui's dimension for nearly five minutes!

Blood splattered!

Shuuzawa's kunai gleamed as he appeared beside Obito. His voice echoed coldly.

"Did you really think you could hide forever? Last time, I already figured out the limits of your phasing time."
