Chapter 56 - Winter Is Approaching!

"Is the King of Gods here?"

When Sif arrived at the door, she first asked the guard. The doorman nodded.

Sif was about to enter when she noticed the cloak. The steps she had just taken suddenly halted.

Should she take it inside?

It would be an excellent opportunity to test the limits of the invisibility cloak's abilities.

However, after a moment's thought, she decided that it would be disrespectful to the King of Gods. So, she abandoned the idea and walked in directly.

"Great King of Gods!" Sif greeted Odin as she entered.

Odin looked toward the door, but seeing that Thor was not with her, he asked, "Sif, why isn't Thor with you?"

"They were just with Aaron, discussing enchanting magic," Sif replied, raising the invisibility cloak and recounting the story to Odin.

Odin listened patiently, even twitching slightly as he heard about the "good things" Thor had done with the invisibility cloak. It made him feel somewhat helpless inside.

That reckless boy!

After Sif shared her concerns and Aaron's plans, Odin asked, "Loki couldn't detect Thor under the invisibility cloak?"

"Yes, Loki could not find Thor's location at the time," Sif confirmed.

Odin fell silent, his cloudy eyes flashing with surprise.

He had always been sure of Aaron's magical abilities, but he never expected that the young man would not only possess such extraordinary magic but would also be so skilled in enchanting.

Enchanting is a vast and complex field within magic. It involves a great deal of scientific knowledge and integrates various aspects of magical understanding.

One of the most difficult skills is imbuing one's magic into other objects. It is on par with learning a new form of magic. Each type of magic also requires different enchanting techniques.

Aaron had not only mastered the enchanting skills for invisibility magic but had also managed to make Thor undetectable even by Loki, who frequently used invisibility magic.

It was clear that Aaron's expertise in both stealth magic and enchanting was exceptional.

After a long moment of silence, Odin gave a command: "Try it on."

Sif immediately put on the cloak and disappeared in an instant.

Odin frowned, first attempting to locate her through his senses. However, based on his usual perception alone, he could not detect the cloak's flaw.

"Good," he nodded in approval.

If such a level of invisibility cloak were to be widely distributed, it would certainly enhance the strength of the army.

Next, Odin used The God's Telekinesis to search for Sif.

Odin's Telekinesis is so powerful that when used at full strength, it can extend across the entire realm of Asgard. While he cannot see everything, as long as he wishes, he can easily detect any intruders within the domain.

His power in Asgard was enhanced by the divine realm, making his perception nearly omnipresent. With The God's Telekinesis, no one could escape his detection.

"Um?" Odin's expression shifted in surprise. He spent considerable energy with The God's Telekinesis but couldn't find Sif.

Wait, there's something.

He found her!

Sif, invisible, felt a sense of awe when she saw Odin's furrowed brow. Subconsciously, she stepped toward him.

With that simple movement, Odin pinpointed her location.

Only by moving could he spot the flaw?

Aaron, you are truly remarkable!

Odin gestured for Sif to stop and instructed her to stay still.

Then, he contacted Heimdall, the guardian of Bifrost. He wanted to test if Heimdall could also see through the invisibility cloak.

At the Bifrost hub, Heimdall stood firm as always—immovable like a pine tree in a storm. No matter the conditions, he remained steadfast.

At this moment, he felt the presence of Odin's Telekinesis.

After scanning his surroundings and confirming that nothing had been missed, he turned and headed toward the Golden Hall.

A short while later, he entered.

"Great King of Gods!"

Heimdall's voice was strong and sonorous, only Odin's towering figure visible in his gaze.

"Heimdall, do you see anything unusual here?" Odin asked mysteriously.

Although Heimdall didn't fully understand Odin's question, he began looking around with sharp eyes, scanning for anything out of the ordinary.

Nothing.

He shook his head, signaling that he hadn't found anything strange.

"Use the All-Seeing Eye," Odin replied, not surprised by Heimdall's initial failure.

Heimdall nodded, his eyes flashing with golden light. Under this gaze, no evil spirit could remain hidden.

The All-Seeing Eye is incredibly powerful, allowing Heimdall to see across the starry sky, even hearing the faintest of sounds. It was through this ability that Heimdall could guard the gates of Asgard like a divine protector.

But even with the All-Seeing Eye, he still couldn't detect Sif while she was invisible.

Sif trembled, stunned by the power of the cloak's invisibility.

Odin, too, was shocked.

If Heimdall—the divine guardian of Asgard—could not see through the cloak, was he truly fit to be the protector?

What if the enemies also possessed such a cloak?

What should be done now?

"Heimdall, look for Sif," Odin instructed.

Heimdall didn't understand what was happening, and an uncomfortable thought crossed his mind: Could Sif be nearby? Could this be the unusual thing Odin had wanted him to look for?

Despite his unease, Heimdall quickly steadied himself and turned to find Sif.

But before he could begin his search, he found Sif standing directly in front of him!

"What!" Heimdall's eyes widened in disbelief.

He had just scanned the area, and there was no one there. But now, Sif was right in front of him!

Heimdall's All-Seeing Eye granted him the vision to see through everything. But he had to focus it on a specific target. His mind couldn't handle the constant influx of information that came from keeping it fully open, so he consciously controlled his ability.

When Odin directed him to find Sif, Heimdall focused his All-Seeing Eye and immediately located her.

Seeing this, Odin's frown deepened.

Had Aaron's invisibility magic truly reached such a level? Just this cloak alone had such an effect. If it were Aaron, could he simply slip into any place without detection?

The possibility made Odin uneasy.

Aaron was a good person, but what about others? What if such magic fell into the hands of someone with malicious intent?

Heimdall needed to be more cautious.

"The warriors of Asgard fear nothing," Odin declared. "They are the mightiest warriors in the Nine Realms. They should never rely on deceitful tactics."

"We won't use the invisibility cloak."

"I do not want my warriors to become cowardly, sneaky people who attack from the shadows."

Sif immediately understood what Odin meant.

The King of Gods didn't want the cloak to be widely distributed.

She knew what she had to do.

"Understood, King of Gods," Sif replied, handing the cloak to Odin before leaving.

As she disappeared, Heimdall spoke up, his voice filled with shame. "Sorry, I have failed you."

"It is not your fault. Aaron's magic is simply too strong," Odin said, offering reassurance. "While you didn't find Sif at first, you did locate her once given the proper guidance."

No one is perfect—not even Heimdall. Even Odin himself couldn't always perceive everything.

For example, even he couldn't avoid death…

And there were also mysterious forces hidden deep within the universe, forces that made even gods tremble.

Odin's eyes darkened. There was only so much he could do.

Even Asgard's future seemed uncertain at times.

Ragnarök...

And that person who had been sealed for millennia… Odin feared that person might resent him.

Lost in thought, Odin was only brought back to reality when Heimdall's call interrupted his musings.

"The situation in the Nine Realms is stable," Heimdall reported. "The Land of the Ice Titans is still honoring the agreement, the Fire King remains at ease, and the Vanaheim rebels have been subdued under Thor's conquest."

"Under your leadership, the Nine Realms are peaceful for now."

Odin's mood lightened a little at this news.

While the future remained uncertain, at least the present was stable.

"Alright, it's time to prepare for Thor's coronation," Odin declared.

"Heimdall, inform all of Asgard that in one week, they will welcome their new king!"

"Yes, great King of Gods."

Heimdall's mind was mixed with emotions—reluctant to see Odin step down, but also excited for Thor's ascension.

At a time when a new king was about to take the throne, it was crucial for the Nine Realms to remain united.

This coronation would mark a new chapter for Asgard, one that would strengthen the realm further.

As Heimdall departed, Odin's Telekinesis lingered in his mind.

"Keep an eye on Aaron..."

The Magic Monster, Aaron.

The creator of the invisibility cloak.

Academy of Magic

[You are focused…]

Aaron had thoroughly studied the advanced shapeshifting technique under Frigga's guidance.

It included Frigga's personal research as well.

After absorbing the details, Aaron immediately began practicing the permanent shapeshifting technique in front of Frigga.

A sense of déjà vu swept over the scene, familiar to both Frigga and Irene.

After a few simple exercises, Aaron stopped to conserve his magical energy.

As Frigga expressed high expectations, Aaron simply responded, "Leave it to me. I will give you a satisfactory result!"

He spoke with confidence.

Truthfully, if anyone in the Nine Realms were to advance shapeshifting to the molecular rearrangement level, it would likely be Aaron.

His confidence was well-placed.

It was just a matter of putting in the work.

He believed that the ability to manipulate molecular structures would be his soon—he only needed to refine his skills further.

But before that, he first needed to improve his materialization magic.

It was frustrating to know he possessed powerful magic, yet was unable to utilize its full potential due to a lack of deeper knowledge.

Once the magic lesson was over, Frigga waited patiently for Aaron to finish his practice, then spoke seriously:

"By the way, Aaron, I sincerely invite you on behalf of Thor to attend his coronation in one week."

"As his good friend, I've reserved a seat for you with a clear view of the ceremony."

Aaron had been waiting for this news, though it arrived in a more formal manner than he had imagined.

While it had been rumored that Thor would be crowned soon, the exact date had not been revealed. He had expected Thor to announce it himself, but that had not happened.

So Aaron had been waiting for someone to tell him.

With his magical abilities and his relationship with Thor, it was clear he would be noticed by the higher-ups.

It was just a little more formal than expected.

Frigga had personally invited him, which was a bit flattering.

"I'm excited for the day to come," Aaron said with a smile, though inside, he felt no surprise.

After all, the coronation meant war was coming.

Winter was approaching.
