It was a normal Saturday. Just a regular road trip down a quiet countryside road.
Shan Wolf kept one hand on the steering wheel, the other resting lazily on the gear shift. He glanced sideways at the passenger next to him.
"I'm confused," he muttered. "Even though I know Eva… a lot."
He turned his head sharply. "How the fuck did you get dragged into this, dammit!"
Yup. Rae Yoorin had tagged along.
"Hey, don't blame me," Rae said, folding her arms. "Ms. Mikage set me up. Promised to clear half my embezzlement record."
"Tch. That sounds like Ingrid. I'm guessing you didn't really have a choice, did you?" Shan said with a scoff.
"Fuck you, pervert." Rae scowled.
"Fuck you too." Shan shot back.
"Fuck you back!"
"Double fuck you!"
"Fuck you with—"
The loud roar of a truck's horn cut them off.
"Shit—!" Shan jerked the wheel, narrowly avoiding a head-on collision.
"WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING, FOOLS!" the truck driver barked as he sped past.
Silence followed.
Shan exhaled, gripping the wheel tighter. "Look. Let's just focus on the job. Like it or not, you're in this mess too. If anything happens, you'll go down with me."
Rae studied his face, trying to read him. Then sighed. "Fine. But only until this whole damn thing's over."
They pulled into a quiet lot in front of a weathered old folks' home nestled in the green countryside.
"You've gotta be kidding me," Rae said, eye twitching at the sight. "This Eva woman runs a retirement home?"
"She doesn't run it. Just helps out. Local community stuff," Shan replied.
As they were about to step in, they froze. A woman walked out the front door.
Mei Yoo Jun.
"The fuck—?" both Rae and Shan whispered in unison, ducking into a bush.
"You didn't tell me that pig was gonna be here!" Rae hissed.
"Hey, I'm as surprised as you are!" Shan whispered back.
Through the foliage, they spotted Eva—smiling, laughing—chatting with Mei Yoo Jun.
"Alright, here's the plan," Shan whispered. "I'll talk to Eva. You take photos. We need proof someone from the Won Group met with her."
"I'm not good with cameras," Rae muttered.
"Says the bitch with hundreds of embezzlement photos and her own sex videos." Shan's jab hit a nerve.
"And is that how you're gonna reintroduce yourself to me after all these years, boo?"
They both froze.
Eva stood above them, arms crossed, smirking.
Startled, they scrambled out of the bush.
"Puhaha…!" Eva laughed, loud and amused.
"Ha ha. Laugh all you want, Eva," Shan grumbled.
Eva offered her hand to Shan. Not Rae.
"Sorry, I'm not familiar with this… woman."
Shan helped Rae up anyway. "Rae, Eva. Eva, Rae."
"So, what brings you here, boo?" Eva asked.
"Boo?" Rae snorted, snickering.
"How've you been, Eva? It's been what, three to five years?" Shan asked.
They chatted for a few minutes, Rae feeling like an awkward third wheel. She reminded herself of their mission. She reached for her phone.
"Ms. Yoorin. Don't even try," Eva said without even looking her way.
Shan tilted his head subtly.
"Eva, where's the restroom? It's been a long ride from the city."
She pointed the way. As he passed Rae, he whispered, "Not now. Play nice. Try to get close to her."
Meanwhile, just around the corner, Mei Yoo Jun's boyfriend had his hand under her skirt.
"Stop pushing me away. You're soaked," he said, showing her his fingers slick with her arousal.
Mei Yoo Jun's voice trembled. "Stop."
But he forced himself inside her anyway.
"Tch. Guess you need some punishment!"
He raised his hand. Mei Yoo Jun shut her eyes.
Thud!
Her eyes flew open. He was on the ground.
"Who the hell kicked me?!"
"Sup, little man."
Shan Wolf stepped into view, cracking his knuckles.
"M-Mr. Wolf?" Mei Yoo Jun stammered.
"Piss off. I need a word with my... coworker."
The boyfriend backed off, mumbling something about work. Shan knew he was just a student still prepping for the government exam.
"You okay, Yoo Jun?" Shan asked gently, helping her up and straightening her out.
From the sidelines, Eva watched silently. "Still the same Shan Wolf I knew. The man of death." She thought, walking away.
As the sun dipped into the horizon, Mei Yoo Jun begged her boyfriend to wait for her parents. He left without a word, taking the bus alone.
Eva clicked her tongue. "Prick."
"You can say that again," Shan muttered, lighting a cigarette as he offered another to Eva.
Eva looked over and smirked. "Meh. It's just you."
She took the cigarette he offered and lit hers from the tip of his.
"So?" Shan asked.
Eva exhaled slowly. "I wish I could help, boo. But you know me. I always want something in return."
"Heh. Is it because she is in the picture?"
"More or less. Truth is… she's the jealous type. Thinks the world revolves around her."
She looked away.
"But I've changed, Shan. I'm not the same girl you knew. The horror we went through… and growing up... I don't know who I am anymore."
Shan smirked. "Tch. Pussy. The Eva I knew never looked down."
He tilted her chin up gently.
"But I still see her. That same Eva from the camp. The one who knew how to play her cards."
Eva stared at him. Then suddenly, without warning, she kissed him—fiercely, possessively.
"Heh. Still the same nymphomaniac, huh?"
"Shut up and fuck me, boo."
He pulled her into a nearby public stall. They tore at each other's clothes in a fevered haze.
Eva paused. "Does that bitch know? What's her name—Rao Pokin? Yoosin?"
Shan smirked. "Nah."
She moaned as he kissed down her neck.
"You really know how to burn me up, boo."
"How could I not? I know every part of you. Hell, you were my first."
"Hey! We were forced! We were, what, fourteen? Sixteen?"
"Shh. Past is the past. I've always had your back. I still do."
He unbuckled, slid his pants and boxers down.
"Ooo… looks like my little boy's all grown."
She stroked him gently.
"Heh. Your boy's been missing his equal in intimacy."
He held her thighs as he entered her slowly.
"You okay?"
"Yeah. It's been years."
He began to move inside her, slowly.
"Let me know if it hurts."
"You're talking to Eva the snake, Mr. Wolf. Don't underestimate me."
She pulled him to sit down on the toilet lid and got on her knees.
In the stall next door, Mei Yoo Jun sat in silence, listening.
"How do I always end up in these damn situations?!"
Cause its no ordinary public stall. Its a mixed public stall.
