Kade's question sent cold shivers down Felix's spine.
Did he know? Or suspect something? Felix had been trying to conceal it the best he could, but… Honestly, he himself had no confidence in the effectiveness of his efforts.
Still, since he already decided to try to hide it, he might as well stubbornly stick to it till the end. So he said, trying to sound confident, "I still need to go for a walk."
…Perhaps it wasn't the best argument, as Kade lifted his brows. "Haven't you walked enough today?"
Indeed Felix did. With his earlier walk in the park, his shopping trip, and then work, he had walked over 24000 steps, according to his phone. But, changing his argument would only make him look more suspicious, so he 'explained', "I need to take Remi for a walk."
"…Your fox?"
"Yes," Felix nodded his head. "He gained too much weight recently, so I have to make sure he is active enough!"
