Nelly
After nearly an hour of driving in circles through unfamiliar streets, I finally spotted the small café Lilian had been directing me to. It was tucked between a florist and a bookstore like a secret meant to be kept quiet. I pulled up at the curb and let out a shaky breath, my fingers still tight on the steering wheel.
My head was a mess. I hadn't even begun to unpack the absolute violation I'd just witnessed.
How the hell was I supposed to say it out loud? "Hey, so… I walked in on Rose sniffing Aiden's underwear in the laundry room." Who would even believe me? Who wouldn't gag just hearing it? It felt like something I could only say once—if ever—and only to someone who'd really believe me.
Maybe Danielle. I needed to see her next.
