Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Swarm Is Still Chasing Us!

Every time Godzilla wakes up, it's a big event for Belobog. The builders would seize this rare opportunity to offer the treasures they'd gathered — minerals infused with energy. Though they provided more energy than Geomarrow ores of the same size, the quantity was small, making them suitable as post-wake-up snacks for Godzilla.

And if Godzilla hadn't woken up on his own, she wouldn't have dared to come up to clean.

Speaking of which, the fact that she could clean Godzilla's body surface was still considered a miracle in Belobog. As one of Belobog's few intellectual talents, Serval was naturally reinstated.

When she first laid eyes on Godzilla, she froze on the spot — and then, a speck of dust falling from the top of the cave prompted her to speak from the depths of her soul, "Do you want a bath?"

---------------------------------

The moment the sky-darkening swarm rose, even the light of the stars seemed dim and lifeless.

The dense meteor shower was terrifying, and the constant friction sounds, even in the quiet of outer space, made one's hair stand on end.

"Defense system overloaded! Defense system overloaded!"

"Left wing damaged by 59%! Right wing damaged by 78%! The ship has deviated from its course! I can't control it! Mechanic! Mechanic!"

"The swarm is still chasing us! Damn it!"

The trembling fox ears and the slightly pale expression of the young girl, the leader of the merchant group, revealed her unease.

It wasn't fear — it was an instinctive reaction to danger. No matter how many times she had sailed through the stars, she still felt helpless in the face of danger.

"Miss Tingyun, the ship has lost the ability to resist. I suggest we abandon it immediately and deploy the escape pods!"

The speaker was an armed Xianzhou warrior.

As one of the few major trade associations in the universe, the Whistling Flames merchant guild naturally traveled with high-standard escorts — none other than the elite Cloud Knights.

But perhaps high standards attract high-level challenges. This time, their opponent was a threat that made the entire universe tremble in fear — The Swarm Disaster!

A catastrophe created by the fallen Aeon of Propagation, Tayzzyronth, which till this day continues to ravage the universe.

The Universal Swarm Disaster!

Although Breeding was long gone, the lingering swarm plague still haunted countless star systems.

"Even if we deploy the escape pods, we still need somewhere to land."

Tingyun sighed helplessly, her face pale.

Their current route was already far from the next supply point, and now they had drifted off course.

She had some impression of this star system — it was famously desolate. If there was anything notable about it, it was that this was one of the routes that led towards Penacony.

While Tingyun was still thinking of a solution, Ji Yi could no longer wait. He clasped his hands together and anxiously said, "Miss Tingyun, forgive me!"

With that, he reached out to pull Tingyun.

"Lord Ji Yi! A landable planet detected!"

"What?!" Ji Yi immediately ignored Tingyun, taking three quick steps forward to check the readings.

"Jarilo-VI? That planet's been out of contact for years! Who cares?! Land now! Or we'll be bug food!"

At this point, even a confirmed destroyed planet would be worth the risk!

"Click, click, click." In the empty mine, the sound of chewing echoed.

Precious ores were tossed into Godzilla's mouth one after another. His internal atomic furnace constantly processed and refined the energy within the minerals.

"This big guy sure can eat."

Seele marveled as her hand unconsciously touched the corner of her mouth, her nails tapping gently against her teeth. Her combative nature stirred as she watched Godzilla feast, wondering how her own bite strength would compare.

"Hm?"

Suddenly, Godzilla stopped, lifting his head toward the ceiling.

Something was approaching.

A lot of somethings.

His vertical pupils narrowed, and his tail swung, stirring up fierce winds.

A king's territory cannot be invaded.

A king's majesty cannot be offended!

This was his dining hall — how could he allow anyone to steal from him?!

When heavenly fire descends, disaster follows.

The ancient records might seem laughable in modern times due to their era's limitations — but upon closer thought, it made perfect sense.

After all, every word of history was written by those who had truly lived through it.

For instance, now — a "meteor" with a blazing tail was hurtling straight toward the ground.

"Boom!" The ground shook violently.

Even from miles away, everyone could feel the earth trembling, and the scorching heat pierced through the forest, brushing against their faces.

"An extraterrestrial visitor!" The answer immediately surfaced in Cocolia's mind.

Jarilo-VI had a long history of recorded extraterrestrial encounters — even to this day, Belobog retained relics left behind by past visitors.

But…

"Everyone, stay alert! Head toward the crash site!"

Cocolia made a swift decision. That ship was clearly in trouble.

She wasn't interested in their conflicts or history — but any potential threat to Jarilo-VI must be eliminated at the source!

At the same time, on the other side of the forest, the violent crash had left everyone dazed and disoriented.

Ji Yi slammed his head against the cabin door.

With a loud crash, the door was knocked off its hinges.

"..." Although his goal was to clear his head, the awe-struck gazes of the soldiers behind him left him speechless.

"Ahem. Everyone, get down!"

After a quick cough, Ji Yi grabbed a nearby soldier and leapt out of the ship, followed closely by Tingyun, who had prepared for this from the beginning.

After disembarking, Tingyun looked around at the life-filled forest in surprise.

"Wasn't Jarilo-VI supposed to be a dead planet?"

"We still don't know what's happened here, but we need to find shelter fast — those bugs are still after us."

Ji Yi's expression was grim. Now was not the time to relax — the most terrifying disaster in the universe was not so easy to escape.

Tingyun gazed at the dense forest.

Her instincts told her that something was off.

But even if this forest was a death trap — today, she had no choice but to walk straight into it!

Just as Ji Yi was about to enter the forest—

"Bang!"

"Outsiders, halt!"

After a burst of rapid footsteps, they realized that, at some point, they had been completely surrounded by heavily armed soldiers.

The atmosphere was tense — a confrontation was imminent.
