Chapter 2 - The divorce

CHAPTER 1

Danelle pushed the door open, the happiness expressed on her face slacked off in an instant as she witnessed a scene so horrendous played out in front of her.

On the bed was her husband, laid flat and her sister seated on him, riding him as both moaned away into ecstasy, completely unaware of the presence that has intruded their session.

Tears foamed into her eyes, watching the unbelievable scene in front of her, the paper she held fell to the ground.

"Simone!" Her cracked voice yelled, liquid seeping out of her lashes with her presence denounced.

They glanced at her, becoming aware of her presence and not the least hinged. "Tell her right now so she can get out," Her sister, Simone said to her husband, who nodded in accordance.

"Our divorce paper is right there, sign it up and get the hell out of my life you barren loser. I'm making a baby now with someone more fertile," The harsh voice of her husband relayed, referencing the paper he had laid out for her on the desk.

Danelle tried to believe the situation, rubbing a palm over her face to confirm she wasn't dreaming, and in front of her staged a false reality.

"You can get out when you're done, we have babies to make," He spouted his words coldly, his attention returning back to the female sitting on him as they went back into pleasuring themselves.

Danelle was made to watch more of the painful scene unfold, and she felt her heart yanked away from her chest, her body tensed with pain, emotional pains that surged through her entire system.

She walked over to the desk, picked up the paper, letting her teary eyes scammed through the document.

"Oh fuck. You're so good, Chaney. Yes, fuck me harder!" Her sister moaned out to her hearing.

She wrenched further as she shakingly took the pen, their ambiguous moans mutilating her heart as she signed the paper. She removed her wedding ring and dropped it on the paper, alongside the pen.

She glanced over back to them, watching them engrossed in the filthy act without giving regard to her presence.

Danelle turned around, wiping the tears that stormed her cheeks and picked up the paper that fell down her palm when she came in.

One last look at them, she walked out of the room. Leaving behind her clothes as she had them marked her separation with Chane.

Her marriage of four years, wind into nothingness and destroyed in a day.

Danelle couldn't stop herself from tearing up, the only thing running through her head was the betrayal.

Sure they've been married for a long time and an offspring was yet to emerge, it wasn't her fault or his, it was plain natural.

Lately he's been lashing out unnecessarily at her. Danelle like to belief he's just frustrated, and his work was taking a toll on him. Unknown to her then, he was getting close with her sister.

Even when her pregnancy symptoms surfaced, that she fell ill, Chane remained unavailable. She thought his work, business, took over the space he usually has for her.

Unbeknownst to her, he's been getting intimate with her sister.

More tears strolled down her cheeks as she got outside his mansion, hailed down a taxi and board it straight to the penthouse she has in the city.

Danelle doesn't know what her next move is going to be, now she's divorced and housing an unborn child in her stomach, her thoughts on what her next move should be were hazy.

Her phone began ringing, peeking at the screen, she found her caller to be her mother. She picked instantly.

"Mom!" Her cracked voice called, seconds away from breaking down again.

"Please don't cry to me, just wanted you to know that I hate you, and I'm sorry I made my favorite daughter steal your husband. That's the only way I could secure me and her a permanent wealth, without you.

Now I'm calling to suggest you pack your bags, and get out of the city. I don't want my baby girl looking over her shoulder constantly thinking you are going to strike back or anything like revenge. And if you refuse, I will work you into a jail sentence. Don't tempt me, do as I say and we shouldn't become enemies. Goodbye!"

The line cut, bringing the call to an end.

Danelle was utterly shocked, speechless of mustering any thoughts to what was recently shared with her.

 So her family betrayed her.

They joined hands against her to steal her happiness because of their greedy desires. Danelle couldn't closed the gap parting her lips, she was too stunned.

The driver driving her to her penthouse stopped, arriving at her location.

Danelle settled the man, stepping out and marching straight into the house.

Reveling still in what was revealed to her. Why would they do all of that? Because she wasn't her favorite?

A lot of questions lingers on her mind as she stepped into her mansion.

Danelle's father died when she was eight, he had cancer and lost his life to it. He always told her to be wary of the people surrounding her, she never knew his words could reference her loved ones.

"I have no idea what you've been through, but good thing I'm paid to put you out of your misery." Someone spoke out into Danelle's solitude as she stood by her entrance sobbing.

Looking to the direction of the voice, a male figure with his appearance masked came into sight with a corked gun in his hand pointed at Danelle. He was geared and ready to fire at any moment from now.

"Who are you?" Danelle shoot away from where she's stood going over the drastic change traumatizing her life.

The hairs on her nape stood erect, signaling danger as the man began approaching.

"Stay back! Who are you!" She questioned once more, moving back till her back was against her door.

"You see me holding a gun, and talking about putting an end to your misery and you're still ask who am I?" He scoffed, coming to a halt as he raised an eyebrow.

"Well I'm here to kill you. So any last words? Those who want you dead paid a good sum for me to waste time and not deliver your dead body quick."

"What!" Danelle ghost voice gasped, not only tensed but paled by the assassin's words of someone wanting her dead.

Who the hell wants her dead?
