Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

Thor was extremely bored in his room in the watchtower thus he could not avoid all the thoughts that plagued him about their predicament.

He missed his Mother, his Father and to his disbelief, he missed his brother and all of his mischief. He missed Asgard as a whole and their Midgard. He also missed fighting. His asgardian blood craved a worthy fight, because being the Prince and protector if the nine realms meant getting involved in war every other week.

He had to find something to pass time with.

Getting up, he went to Natasha's room and found it empty...as always.

Does she really sleep? He thought.

He proceeded to Hawkeyes room and found him playing poker with Wanda and Captain America who offered him to join in but he politely declined. He had never understood how to play it even though they had all tried countless times to explain it to him.

All he wanted was a heavy meal and maybe to let out some simple steam. He was sure the watchtower had a place to train much like their avengers tower.

Tony was nowhere to be found too. He probably disappeared with Ben since he heard them talking earlier...something about hacking. Typical Tony, he smiled, his friend was always searching for the next technological thrill life had to offer or had not yet offered.

He decided to go start with the cafeteria. Now is as good a time as any, he thought, walking through the hallways.

Murmurs were heard everywhere he passed. The one or two superheroes he passed along the way would stare at him, then at the hammer till he was out of their vision. He had quickly memorized all the places he had been to in the watchtower, so finding his way to the cafeteria was not a problem.

He served a full course meal and decided to try the smoothie he had seen Ben enjoying so much. Setting them down on a table, he sat down and started eating. Arsgadians had a huge appetite which could only be filled with large amounts of food mostly meat...preferably fried. That was why he ordered a large quantity of meat.

I would give anything to have a beer from Fathers private stash, he thought.

During the commotion of the portal appearing in the tower, his magic mug had been misplaced with him not realizing till they were in the jungle. The Magic mug was his 1000th birthday present from his Mother who knew how much warriors loved to drink, thus she made him the perfect gift, one which he took everywhere he went. It could magically take the shape of anything so it made it easier for him to carry it around.

The mug was magically connected to the huge barrels of Asgardian beer that had been aged for thousands of years. Once empty, the mug refilled itself from wherever it was in the universe, thus providing a constant supply of beer even when in battle.

That was the only alcohol that could really lower his inhibitions and get him drunk. The ones being brewed in Midgard couldn't handle his physiology.

One day, Tony had secretly drank from the mug, his curious mind wanting to figure out the differences between the two beers. That night he got so drunk that he almost sold his company to a John Doe in the Internet. If it were not for Jarvis and his protocols, he would have ended up dead as broke. He passed out a short while later. He never drank from it again and to his surprise, when he scanned the drink, Jarvis results were 'unknown.'

Cap was the only one to ever sip from the cup and not get ridiculous drunk though he was just drunk, his body metabolizing the beer more efficiently than the ordinary human.

The heroes in the cafeteria were staring at him, puzzled as to how a hammer that appeared more like a concrete mallet could handle an element as powerful as lightning. Miljonir was currently on the ground, near him. The majority of female superheroes were admiring him because his armour adhered to his muscles, which flexed with every movement he made while eating.

The males in the room grew bored of watching Thor being ogled and began to leave one by one, while the girls purposefully stayed or walked at a sluggish pace out.

There was no doubt that the other male superheroes had buff flexing muscles, but Thor's stood out. He belonged in the same league as Superman. His had a mystical appeal to it; perhaps it had something to do with the fact that he was a freaking god of thunder.

Wonder woman stood by the cafeteria counter, waiting for the cook to pack her food for the night. She wasn't in the mood to cook or order out when she got home from her meetings.

"Wonder woman!" a commanding base voice called out her name just before she exited the cafeteria. She turned, looking around the room for whoever called her. That was when she noticed him sitting at a table in the middle of the room waving at her with one hand, while the other carried a half-eaten chicken drumstick.

She was no stranger to huge appetites, after all, her and her sisters had one too, but she trained herself to eat the acceptable amount whenever she was in Man's world. Thor however, had no qualms about eating his fill anywhere while looking good doing it.

She walked to his table.

Everyone saw Thor wave Wonder woman over to his table and were curious.

"I thought you were resting... You guys need it more than us." She said to Thor, sitting opposite to him opening up her food, having decided to eat instead of carrying it home.

"I tried but couldn't. Perhaps I have a lot on my mind. I can't help but wonder how the nine realms are holding on without me or the Avengers to protect them." Thor replied finishing his meal then turned to his smoothie.

Low murmurs could be heard around them. Wonder woman observed that everyone was focused on their conversation, which irritated her. Everyone had the right to privacy, whether they are a god of thunder or not. Thor wasn't shy in introducing himself as the god of thunder to everyone who asked him.

"The reports aren't going to write themselves." She said out loud to no one in particular.

The heroes immediately shuffled out the door, heading for their various areas to write their reports.

Wonder woman knew they were the heroes who had completed their missions for the day and had returned to hand over their reports to J'onn.

"I'm sure the rest of your people can handle it without you...after all, they have learned from the best." She said trying to cheer him up which partially worked since he smiled.

"I know what can help, I was on my way out to Metropolis..." She began to sound unsure of herself. "I thought you might be interested in learning about our world. Of course, to clear your mind and for future reference...so you don't get lost..." She rambled on, trying to think of the most professional reason.

"That is a great idea princess. But I wouldn't want to impose or trouble you..." Thor started...

"No no no... Please, I insist. It's not every day I get to show the god of Thunder around our world." She assured him.

"Then I graciously accept your offer" He accepted, before getting up quickly and moving behind her before helping her out of her seat.

"Thank you"

"My pleasure" came Thor's simple reply before both of them headed for the teleporter.

"Aren't you forgetting your-" She observed Miljonir on the ground before it rocketed up and straight into Thor's palm with such force that his muscles contracted beneath his armour. He flipped Miljonir twice before grabbing the handle and turning to her.

"Never mind..." She said. I wonder if I can lift it she thought.

"After you, my lady." He motioned for the teleporter which Wonder woman stepped on first. The two of them disappeared.

Kansas

Kara was in the library gazing into space thinking about what Clark had told her. She had read only a handful of pages since she arrived. She was too distracted and ended up reading one page more than once.

"What did he mean by looks can be deceiving?" She whispered to herself thinking of Ben.

He does have a lot of money for someone quite young, she thought.

She would have to ask him the next time she saw him. That thought somehow made her nervous, which was driving her insane.

She couldn't get what Huntress said about him out of her mind. Even though he was sweet, and cute, and was subtly flirting with her, it could never work out between them.

No one had ever tried flirting with her either at the watchtower or at school. One was because they were afraid of her cousin while being intimidated by her as they knew she was leagues stronger than them. Two was, she was forced to dress and act like a geek at school to protect her identity.

The kiss they shared, although a kiss, she did not feel anything. Her physiology did not allow that, even though she usually tried holding back as much as she could when dealing with humans. It couldn't work.

Already decided on her next course of action, she stood up, returned the borrowed book and walked out of the library. Making sure she was in a secluded spot, she took off for home where she quickly changed into her superhero costume and sped towards the watchtower.

Something was going on and she intended to figure out what it was.

Over the sky

Batman and black widow had been flying for some time now, tracing Bane's new supplier. He had marked some bills with a prototype spray he developed which emitted a signal strong enough that his satellite could detect it from space.

The supplier was moving so quickly that they assumed he or she was on an aircraft or something similar.

"Where did you learn to fight like that?" Black widow asked, breaking the silence.

Batman turned raising an eyebrow at her, "You always this straight forward?"

"A girl knows what she wants," came her calm response.

"I believe this belongs to you," he announced removing something from his utility belt. He had kept the bug he found on himself till he got the chance to return it to the owner.

"Yes it does." Black widow smiled innocently at him. "I'm afraid I can't return the favour though." She said to which batman just shrugged already expecting that.

He knew she had found his bug. It had been disconnected. He took care to plant it on Banner because out of all of them, he seemed the least trained in spyware. He did not know she was that good.

The batwing's monitor lit up to the emergency broadcast of the meteor heading to earth. He connected to the watchtower and the secure military video feed that was playing popped up.

Batman engaged autopilot and concentrated on the live feed.

The huge beast emerged from the pod and proceeded to kill all the soldiers, with the last one seemingly blowing it up plus himself and the helicopter.

"Who is that?" Black widow asked him, thinking it was one of their many villains who didn't have any qualms about killing government operatives.

Killing a government agent and revealing your identity usually resulted in one of two outcomes. One, the government would go after the supposed villain with everything it had , which was generally enough to demolish any kind of organization. Or two, the government would conduct experiments using you as a test subject...so there's no bright side to it.

Black widow figured out that he didn't know the said villain by the way he was studying the video and monster from the small footage he had from the live feed.

"I don't know. I've never seen it before, though it reminds me of a guy we defeated a while ago." He replied, disengaging the auto pilot and setting a new destination to the crash site.

"Aren't you going to wait for back up?" She asked him, noting how the bat jet accelerated and was traveling at supersonic speeds. ETA 10 minutes.

Batman smirked while never turning to look at her, "I can drop you off at a safe house if you want, Romanoff." It was a good thing Tony was a talker, he had learned all their names from him.

She narrowed her eyes at the mention of her real name. Where could he have learned that name.

"Zhopa!" She cursed at him before proceeding to check the ammunition in her guns, they would need it.

He chuckled slightly at the name calling but stopped at the sight of smoke that was visible from a distance.

"That's a lot of smoke." She commented at the sight below. Several over turned police vehicles and tanks were on fire with several dead bodies covering the street below.

Because of its speed, the bat jet sensors detected a projectile hurtling towards them a little too late. It struck one wing, causing the bat jet to plummet in free fall with one failed engine emitting a trail of dark smoke before sparks erupted and the engine caught fire. When Batman punched the eject button, both he and Black Widow were shot out of the falling plane, and their parachutes unfolded a few seconds later, dropping them to the ground, while the batwing crashed a few minutes away, engulfed in flames.

A loud explosion was heard followed by a secondary smaller one. Then a loud roar was heard and she looked at Batman who was walking to her.

"What?" He asked, then returned his gaze to the explosions direction, noting that was where she was looking. "Contingencies." He explained, and she nodded in agreement.

All of his vehicles and planes were programmed to self-destruct if they were destroyed in combat. This was due to the potentially disastrous consequences that would occur if the technologies contained within them fell into the wrong hands.

The roar seemed to be getting closer by the minute. The only time she heard an angry roar like that was when the Hulk came out to play and that made her weary of this thing.

The beast tore through two tanks adjacent to each other and looked around the area for the two living beings that descended from the sky. Since its arrival, it had killed every living thing on its path, human or animal. That was what it was made for. It craved the violence accompanied with it. Like this primitive Earths defences.

It's eyes scanned the area and saw two humans standing in a distance looking at it.

RROOOAAAARR! It charged at them.

Batman and Black widow saw the beast charge at them, ploughing through every thing on its path. "Go high," he ordered her and to his surprise, she agreed then used her grappling gun to go on top of an empty building nearby.

Batman actually thought she would argue with him and had a plan figured out, if she didn't follow his lead.

Black widow had only seen one person with such rage before, The Hulk, but she knew this beast was out for blood and would not hesitate like The Hulk thus made her follow Batmans instructions. He obviously knew this world better than her.

The beast saw the two of them separate and had a second to figure out which living being it would kill first.

Knowing its predicament, Batman threw a couple of smoke bombs then disappeared within it, fueling the beasts rage. He threw the most powerful explosive batarang he had in his utility belt, which lodged on the beasts back when he flipped over it in the darkness.

The batarang exploded, pushing the beast to crash into a nearby building while batman merely stood and watched on, waiting to see if it would get up. He knew it would, because the soldier had used one of Wayne techs most advanced rocket launchers that didn't even phase the beast.

A low rumble was heard before it emerged from the building and charged at him with incredible speed. Batman managed to dodge at the last second with only his legs being knocked when he used his grappling hook to fly away to where Black widow was observing it for any weaknesses. His armour took the brunt of the hit but it still hurt like hell. He crouched down catching his breath.

"It appears it has been programmed to eliminate all life forms in the planet it is sent to" Batman informed Black widow with her getting the hidden meaning behind it.

If help didn't arrive in the next few minutes then they were as good as dead.

Another roar was heard. Black widow grabbed Batman and pushed them off the tall building, falling down the side. The dark knight, with his quick reflexes, grabbed onto Black widow before twisting them mid-air so that he was at the bottom before crashing onto a dumpsters lid, which gave out making them to fall into the dumpster.

His armour took most of the hit, protecting Black widow who could have surely died from the impact when his weight was put into account.

Black widow rolled off him and sat up beside his groaning form, looking up at where they fell from. She had no time to use a grappling hook because the beast had jumped and was seconds away from colliding with the rooftop.

She smirked victorious when she saw that the three next generation Stark grenades she intentionally left on the roof had gone off. The explosion sent the beast crashing into the neighboring rooftop but its roar signaled it was already searching for them.

She looked down at Batman who was attempting to get up but was in pain from the couple of ribs and bones broken in his body and came up with a plan.

"Don't...Don't even think about it." He said, gritting his teeth in pain already knowing her plan.

Black widow smiled down at him before catching his right arm in a firm grip which had long retrieved a pair of handcuffs from his utility belt to restrain her with.

"Nice try" she said taking it away from him before pocketing it.

"That wasn't the try." Batman said smugly.

"I know" she said getting up and out of the dumpster.

She showed him the tranquilizer dart she had just taken from his form and began walking away

Batman glared at her. He couldn't get up because the fractured bones in his body were too much for him to bear. The fall was simply too high, and he didn't have time to manage it, which was something Ras Al Ghul had taught him a long time ago.

"Wait!" He called out to her. "Take these." He said taking off his utility belt, handing it out to her.

Black widow looked surprised at his action. She would never give anyone her utility belt, filled with her most ingenious weapons and she knew it was the same case for batman.

"Are you sure?" She asked again thinking he was delirious from the fall.

"You'll need all the help you can get." Batman told her. He knew that she needed it to last a little longer till reinforcements arrived.

"Work your way outward," he instructed her on how to use it. He pressed a few buttons on it and then gave her.

She took the belt and wore it around her slender waist, with it sagging a little but all in all it fit.

"Temporary identity accepted." A computerized voice said from the utility belt which meant her fingerprints could now unlock its contents.

"Don't worry. I'll give it back." She smirked before running out of the alleyway to lead the beast away from him. It was the least she could do for since he had just saved her life from the fall.

The beast immediately saw her run from the alleyway and followed pursuit with black widow dodging most of its attacks, playing on the defensive since any weapon she had would not hurt it but just momentarily slow it down. She was the only person other than batman who was alive in that area, the rest were either dead or evacuated as per the government's orders.

Black widow tried her best but after some minutes of dodging, hiding and attacking, she was out of ammo and too tired, after all, she was only human. Batmans utility belt was empty with only one compartment refusing to open out of all of them. She figured it must be a secret no one but him needed to know and she kind of respected that...since all her attempts to open it were in vain.

A car came crashing at her hiding spot, prompting her to once again throw the remaining two smoke bombs on the ground and use the grappling hook to escape.

The beasts eyes glowed, having adapted to getting blinded every time and threw a boulder to her target building, making the part holding her grappling hook to loosen before she could reach. This made her fall for a short distance on to the deserted road with the sun lighting her form for the beast to see.

She sat up holding her broken rib. It had not completely healed from Wonder woman's previous attack. She was tired, bruised all over and out of tricks.

Jokes on task master for thinking he would be the one to end me, she thought sadly while getting up slowly.

This was worse than dealing with the hulk because this beast had no qualms to what destruction it caused while the Hulk could recognize her even if he was out of control. Looking up, she watched as the beast jumped down with her as its target and activated her wrist stingers.

She won't go down without a fight so she took a stance, the grappling hook having been destroyed.

The beast had looked on with rage at the mere human who had escaped its wrath for the longest time and jumped from the building to land on her, crashing her once and for all.

However, it was picked up mid-air before covering half the distance to black widow. The two objects crashed through a nearby building before the beast was launched some distance away.

Unknown location.

Amanda Waller had just witnessed an entire squadron get annihilated via the secure video feeds they streamed live.

At least we still have brave soldiers fighting for America, she thought of the last one who had blown himself up, hoping to take the threat with him but had failed. The news channels reported the sights of the beast via footages gotten from drones flying way up above their normal heights due to security.

Great! Another alien problem! She thought bitterly.

Waller had found out earlier that their system had been hacked and a big quantity of data had been leaked, forcing them to clean up their prior base of operations and shift to this new one. They also upgraded the security of their systems at her request.

Their project was likewise facing challenges. It was rejecting the memories they were attempting to implant in its brain, thus it was not yet ready to defend their country from foreign threats.

She repositioned a satellite from space to view the target area the beast was attacking.

A phone call disrupted her.

"Shit," she cursed out loud before accepting the call.

"Good morning Sir." She answered.

"Yes sir, I saw the footage." She answered clenching her fists.

"No sir that is our last option sir." She answered.

"I will take care of it sir."

"Thank-" the call disconnected before she could finish.

She sighed. She was getting too old for this shit.

She got up and walked out of her office fuming with anger. It was only logical to pressure someone for results just like she was being pressured. It was the cycle of an organization.

She opened the door forcefully and walked in.

"I need a solution now!" She barked at Yvonne and a shaking Tech 2.

Ivan was seated down nursing his broken arm.

When Amanda Waller had found out about his failures, she had invited him for a sparring match in their gym then proceeded to kick his ass before breaking his arm since she could not dare to throw him out of the organization. He knew too much about them and their plans.

"Batman and an unknown woman have arrived and are engaging the hostile." Ivan pointed at the screen showing Batman dodging the beasts attacks.

"I am talking about your solutions to this problem. What are we dealing with?" Waller asked Ivan since he was the one in charge there.

"Our database has no details about the creature or the woman helping batman." Yvonne replied giving her boss some breathing space. He'd already had a few shitty days from all the small failures.

Waller turned her attention to her. Yvonne not being one to back down, maintained eye contact with her then proceeded. "It seems our only solution for now is for the Justice league to handle the threat."

Waller already knew that. In all of their secret projects, only two had the power to stop this kind of beast, but unfortunately they were not ready for deployment. She just wanted them to agree with what she had already figured out.

Ivan knew Waller would have Yvonne job for talking to her without permission and was already thinking of reasons he would later list to her for the benefits of maintaining her in the team. He had a small crush on her.

So it came as a surprise to them when she turned around walked towards and out the door.

"That was a close one." Tech 2 spoke, breaking the tension she had left.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

"Not quite" came Wallers voice from the door startling all of them with her stealth. "You! What's your name?" She pointed to one of them.

"Yvonne Smoke Sir," she answered, standing up and saluting ready to be fired.

"Good," Amanda said. "From now on, you're in charge," she remarked before closing the door and leaving.

They all exchanged glances for a second before Ivan yelled. "What!" He remarked this as he walked out of the room, trying to figure out where his boss had gone.

"I guess. Congratulations..?" Tech 2 mentioned / inquired about his partner's willingness to take her new position. That jolted Yvonne out of her stupor.

"I did not see that one coming." She stated, nervously giggling.

"No one did Yvonne, no one did." Tech 2 confirmed.

Watchtower

The watchtower was buzzing with activity when Supergirl arrived. She saw flash zooming around talking to people while Booster gold was seated in front of the monitor, monitoring various CCTV footages of something.

Moving closer, she gasped.

Earth

Black widow watched as the beast hurtled down with her being its end game. She was too tired and bruised to get out of its way so she activated her wrist stingers and waited for the inevitable.

A minor shockwave threw her against the tarmac when the beast was tackled out of the sky by an unknown object, then crashed into a nearby building before it was sent crashing through a few more buildings.

"Are you alright?" Thor asked while helping her up.

"Huh?" still a little dazed from the shockwave. "Thor! I'm fine.. What..? Who's that?" She asked, looking at the building the beast and the unknown person crashed through.

"Good. You need to get to safety. That is Wonder woman, we came to help." He answered.

Earlier, Thor and Wonder woman had been flying around, high up past the clouds for some time. She had been taking him around the USA, showing him the various significant sites in their history when she received an incoming transmission from the watchtower telling her to head for the meteor that fell on the outskirts of metropolis.

She sped off towards the site with Thor, who had been listening in to her transmission, hot on her trail.

Wonder woman was considered the fastest flying superhero after Superman and that was why Thor, not yet channelling his full power, was slightly slower than her.

It did not take them long to reach the small ghost town next to Metropolis where there was destruction everywhere. The residents who took heed to the governments notice about evacuation were safe and alive, while the others were either scattered around the town, buried under the crumbled buildings or simply dead by the beasts hands.

Wonder woman spotted the huge beast charge down at Black widow, who was sitting up on the Tarmac road with her hands out looking up at the charging beast. She couldn't help but admire her fierce determination and skills for engaging the raging monster for quite some time till she couldn't stand, probably out of exhaustion.

Before reaching the ground, she intercepted the beast mid-air and dragged it along with her, taking advantage of her momentum which made it quite easy to throw it away through several buildings while she returned to check on Black widow, who Thor was already helping up.

"Are you alright? What is that?" Wonder woman asked floating down and standing beside them.

A loud roar was heard from a distance followed by the loud rumbling of a whole building crumbling down on itself leaving a cloud of dust in its wake.

"I'm all right. Thank you," Natasha said. She wouldn't have given a damn about her a few hours ago, but that had all changed. She was indebted to her...She had just been spared from certain death by her.

Wonder woman recognized the honesty in her words and merely nodded, pleased. Since they joined the Justice League, she had been discreetly considering what she would do to make peace with Black Widow.

ROOOOAAAAARRR was followed by a crash, then feet stomping the ground hard, heading to them. The beast burst through the building he was first thrown through and charged at them, its rage having increased at the minor inconveniences it was faced with.

"Batman...in the alley." Black widow groaned at the pain when she pointed at the alley she left him to rest. "He's hurt."

Thor leaned Black widow over to Wonder woman who had a confused look at his gesture. "Get her and Batman some medical help. I'll deal with this Abomination!" He instructed, pointing Miljonir at it before lightning shot out of the sky and hit it, sending it back a couple of meters.

"Are you sure..? I can stay and help" she said hesitation in her voice. The monster was almost twice their size and extremely strong. Something she sensed about it, when her Lasso accidentally touched its skin.

"Let's go to batman. He was incredibly hurt." Black widow cut off her protests pointing to the alley again.

Thor nodded, before looking at the beast who was charging at them again. His face changed from a caring expression to one of pure rage in a second. He span Miljonir so fast before charging at it. "You dare attack midgard! I will make you feel the full might of Miljonir." He bellowed.

It accelerated when he saw the man with the hammer move to intercept it before it could finish its programmed task of laying waste to the planet.

The two moved at incredible speeds. Miljonir's indestructible metal collided with its powerfully thrown durable fist.

Fist and metal collided in a massive BOOOOOM! which in turn created an enormous shock wave while Miljonirs might threw it back into the building it emerged from. Thor was still charging at it, Miljonir being an immovable force when in motion. The clouds of dust generated by the shock wave reduced visibility around the town to zero.

Wonder woman and Black widow paused at the alleys entrance and turned their heads at the sound of the collision while Wonder woman shielded her from the shock wave formed. She looked worried at leaving her new teammate to handle the beast alone while back up was on its way.

"He'll be fine." Black widow assured her. "He's Thor" He and the hulk were known as the strongest Avengers for a reason.

"I know but..." Wonder woman couldn't finish the sentence. She knew she had to help Batman and Black widow.

"I know" Black widow acknowledged, somehow knowing what she was going to say before they entered the alley. For someone like Wonder woman, walking away from a battle went against everything she believed in.

The beast dug its way out of the rubble created from his impact. The entire building collapsed on him, finally giving in to all the strain put on its foundations and pillars from the constant collisions. Its broken arm had already healed. Its bones stronger than they previously were.

It was Darkseids favourite weapon because it adapted to whatever hurt or killed it. It could only be killed once using the same method. This was due to its evolutionary feature and also being constantly experimented on in Apokolips harsh environments. It was the dark lords personal experiment that not even Desaad had any influence on its development.

The beast saw the man still charging at it, its anger rose exponentially. It accepted his challenge and moved to meet him head on again.

Thor knew it was strong, possibly in the league of Hulk. His senses had warned him plus he felt the power behind its first attack, but it was no match for Miljonir. He charged at its accelerating figure to put an end to it.

They collided for the second time, creating a larger shockwave than before. The beast was sent crashing back into another building, failing to subdue the might of Miljonir. Its healed hand had been broken again. It saw the man continue charging at it with the hammer that delivered the most painful hit it had ever felt. Being faster than before, it picked up a car with its left hand and threw it at Thor.

He swatted the car sideways using Miljonir but didn't account for its continuous attack which was immediate.

It pummelled into him with great force, knocking Miljonir out of his hand and ploughing both of them through consecutive buildings.

Thor was slightly dazed by its speed, for a huge beast it could move really fast, something that reminded him of the hulk. It took a moment for him to regain his senses through its punches and being knocked through buildings. He caught its right fist with his left hand then proceeded to punch it as hard as he could at that moment with his right hand, making it loosen its grip on him, slowing both of them down.

The beast felt the punch. Something its incredibly thick, strong and durable skin rarely permitted it to feel. This was different because it had not been punched by a weapon, it had been punched by a man. Its programming therefore acknowledged that it had to get rid of Thor, the strongest one of the humans, then proceed to decimate the entire world.

Miljonir rose from the ground and flew towards its master with a sonic boom which could be heard from miles. Thor had recalled it. He needed it to end this fight fast, otherwise the damage brought by it could be very extensive and expensive. Earths buildings and people were too fragile for them to keep fighting for long.

The beast heard the sonic boom and knew what was coming. It let go of Thor, leaving him to continue for a few meters due to their gained velocity and picked up a tank and turned to face the incoming projectile. It swang the tank like a bat and hit Miljonir head on before it could reach Thor who was stunned at its speed.

Yes. It was that fast.

Miljonir collided with the tank but easily ripped through its metal before stopping at Thor's open hand.

Thor smirked at it. "Nothing can stop the might of Miljonir!" He bellowed at it before raising it high up in the air summoning a powerful force.

Thunder rumbled in the sky before Thor brought down his hand and pointed at the beast who was already charging at him again.

A white powerful streak of thunder came down from the sky and engulfed it for a few minutes before dissipating. Smoke filled the area while the Tarmac road surrounding the beast was molten with its leg sinking knee deep into it.

The beast was on its knees, eyes glowing white briefly before returning to it normal red.

"ROOOOOAAAARRRR!!!" It roared before the bone protrusions on its body started growing, becoming razor sharp while it slightly increased in size physically and it looked really pissed. It had fed off the energy from Thor's attack growing stronger from it.

"My word!" Thor murmured surprised by the beasts abilities much like when Iron man had used his attack to charge his suit to 400% when he came to Midgard to apprehend his brother, Loki.

"No matter! By Odins word you will fall!" He bellowed pointing Miljonir at it before both of them charged at each other one more time.

Their punches could be heard from miles away along with explosions from them colliding with the various properties around them, both failing to notice they were slowly inching their way towards Metropolis.

Elsewhere

Wonder woman and Black widow didn't find Batman on the garbage dumpster she had left him in. They went on to look around.

"Are you sure you left him here?" Wonder woman asked her for the fifth time seemingly getting frustrated at her team mate's disappearance.

"You saw the blood, didn't you?" Black widow retorted back getting tired of her whining.

She was looking at the pool of blood in the dumpster before suddenly looking back at her and narrowing her eyes. "I swear if you-." Wonder woman threatened walking towards her but Black widow beat her to the punch.

"What?!" Black widow yelled. "What will you do?" She inquired from her seated position on the ground, her eyes filled with fury. Everything hurt. Her entire body hurt from having to dodge most of the beast's attacks, with her escape always being by chance. She was exhausted and bled all over, her combat armour barely keeping her body together. The last thing she needed was a super powered woman getting all up in her face.

Yes.. She heard rumours that something was going on between them, but she didn't care because she wasn't interested in that sort of thing, or so she told herself before they met the Justice League. She also knew they would eventually return to their world.

Wonder woman came to a halt when she saw her rage-filled eyes and her hands grasping her ribs as she tried unsuccessfully to stand up from her seated position. She was pleased she didn't get to complete that comment since she had been so preoccupied with Batman that she hadn't noticed how badly Black Widow was hurting with blood seeping from the different injuries on her body.

"I'm sorry." She expressed regret. "It's just that..." She began to explain but couldn't find the right words.

"I know," the black widow said, finally getting up but gritting her teeth in pain.

"If you're done with your squabble, I would be happy to direct you to where Batman is." A voice sounded from the utility belt Black widow was still wearing, making Wonder woman to notice it for the first time.

She narrowed her eyes again her previous thoughts returning. "How did you-." she began but didn't get to finish.

"Ladies! Time is of the essence," the voice interrupted before they started arguing again.

"Batman is in the building 20 meters directly from your position to your right." The voice gave out directions.

Wonder woman noticed black widow about to voice out her concerns for the voice but she didn't have time for that. She knew he could be trusted because she knew who he was.

"Let's go!" She said, picking up black widow bridal style then flew up heading to the building.

"Hera!" Wonder woman exclaimed looking around them while flying. Black widow was equally astonished at what she saw. Most of the buildings were down and those that were still standing had large holes on them while bodies were everywhere. At a distance, they could hear the loud booms of fists and explosions.

"He'll be fine. He's the god of thunder." She reassured her when she hesitated for a second before continuing to fly. Her warrior instincts were telling her to go and help Thor beat this threat, but the other instincts were also telling her to help find batman.

"If not then your friend will help." Black widow suggested, pointing at the red and blue blur heading for the battleground at top speed.

Wonder woman relaxed a little when she noticed who she was talking about.

Elsewhere

A fourth of the city had been destroyed.

Cyborg laid down in a crater, reassembling himself after being dismantled by Doomsday, while J'onn was still healing after being crashed into a petrol station, which exploded, leaving him writhing in anguish in the flames.

Thor was the only one left fighting the beast that had taken down three Justice League founding members.

Soon after Thor had began fighting the beast, help had arrived in the form of Cyborg and J'onn. The beast proceeded to take them down as fast as it could because Thor had become its priority.

This was one of Thor's most ferocious fights due to the beast's ability to equal everything he threw at it...except Lightning. It was extremely tough, and all he could do with Miljonir was smash it because any lightning strike against it only fuelled its power.

He had noticed that the beast was intelligent, at least in terms of combat as it dodged Miljonir's attack whenever possible.

During their battle, the beast grabbed Thor's cape and used it as a pendulum to fling him over two buildings, with Thor landing on top of a military tank, which was instantly destroyed. That was when he noticed they had arrived in metropolis where some inhabitants had yet to be evacuated.

He launched Miljonir towards the beast when it jumped after him with perfect precision, the two opposing forces connecting mid-air and Miljonir dragging it through the air towards the sky.

It grabbed Miljonir and yanked itself off of it, descending back to earth and letting gravity do its thing... gathering momentum with each minute plummeted towards the ground.

Thor witnessed it fling itself off Miljonir, plummeting back to Earth and heading straight for him. He had planned for Miljonir to drag or push it out into orbit, but the beast proved tough and cunning once more, having realized it couldn't compete with Miljonir's inexorable might and force. He recalled his hammer with a raise of his palm, making it to come to a halt and accelerate to its master with a sonic boom.

Thor knew it wouldn't reach in time. He clenched his hands to a fist and took a stance, looking up at the incoming projectile. His eyes started crackling, electricity flowing over them like flames...he was prepared to end this. He summoned his whole strength and powers at the moment.

"Aaaaaaaaargh!" He gave out a war cry and shot up, closing the distance between them rapidly.

"Rooooaaaar" The beast roared and the two of them collided in a loud explosion which produced the largest shockwave since they began to fight, while the whole area was filled with dust and visibility coming to zero. All the windows within a ten mile radius shattered into a million tiny pieces.

Apokolips

Steppenwolf came rushing into the throne room and knelt in front of his sire. He had called for him and by what he heard the furies talk about...Darkseid was not pleased and that usually turned out fatal for the immediate minion in his presence.

"Master, I am at your service." He announced still looking down.

"What is the meaning of this!?" Darkseid said to his general, pointing at the projection behind Steppenwolf who had looked up to see what he was talking about.

He was dumbfounded. He had been too busy preparing for the earths invasion to check how their weapon was fairing against the Justice league.

They had tested it on a planet believed to have well-trained armies, which it decimated along with its respective heroes. The weapon also killed two green lanterns and went toe-to-toe with Darkseid when his master wanted to test its strength and combat skills. So he had no doubt that the Justice League would fall, allowing them to invade, conquer, and enslave the Earth and its inhabitants.

"I'm not sure, sire. I am guessing he is the one they call Shazam." Steppenwolf remembered what he had read about each member, and since the man controlled thunder, it had to be him.

Omega beams blasted from Darkseid's eyes, annihilating every parademon in the throne room until ultimately connecting with Steppenwolf's back, who gritted his teeth in pain. He knew it couldn't kill him because he was a deity and his sire couldn't do him like that, but it hurt like hell.

"I battled Shazam, and this is not him. In battle, he is reckless, but this one fights with experience. He has fought in countless wars." Darkseid informed his commander. He'd seen how effortlessly their weapon defeated Batman and his sidekick, and he knew the arrival of the Amazon princess would be no different. Her appearence, joined by the other guy with a hammer, had taken him by surprise. Most of the moves he pulled on it were taught to the gods to fight other gods and some were just too lethal that if it weren't for its adaptability and durability, the weapon would have been killed a long time ago.

The dark lord also noted he wasn't getting fatigued. After a short but fierce bout with the weapon, he continued fighting, something that Kalibak and Steppenwolf couldn't do even when sparring with it. That alone made Darkseid ponder who he was, which brought them to the topic of why he summoned his general, who had evidently gathered all kinds of information about Earth when he was plotting its invasion.

"Find out who he is." Darkseid issued the order after watching the kryptonian join the fight.

He smirked, enjoying how he had a front row view to the kryptonians said end together with whoever was helping him. He had also planned to send the weapon to the planet the interdimensional travellers had settled on. He had thought it over and decided he could do without Thanos help.

Watchtower

Supergirl watched her cousin join the fight, helping the new guy who was actually holding his own against the massive beast. She was too caught up in the video to notice booster gold receive an incoming transmission before activating the teleporter where Wonder woman and Black widow materialized from and were supporting a patched up Batman.

They found him in a local veterinary shop where the owner had recognized the masked vigilante and had taken him in to patch him up till he could get some real help. Batman didn't remove his facemask but his chest was bare. The watchtowers on call doctors came with two stretchers on which they placed Batman and Black widow who were barely holding on to consciousness.

Supergirl flew to them. "What is that? What happened to them? Why is superman and that guy the only one fighting the beast?" She asked worried because she thought Wonder woman being a god would be down there helping to save humanity.

"I'm heading down there now." Wonder woman said already heading for the teleporter after the doctors took hold of the batman and black widows situation.

"Wait for me, I'm coming" Supergirl said falling in step with Wonder woman.

"Wai...wait" batman removed his oxygen mask and called out to them. Both ladies and the other heroes heading for the teleporter to go help, heard him and stopped.

"What is it?" Captain atom asked looking back at him.

"It's too dangerous." Batman spoke up out of breath.

"We know. That's why we are going." Super girl said before turning to Wonder woman who looked about ready to fly out of there due to their time wasting.

"You don't get it. It's going to kill you! It will kill all of you to fight them!" Batman half- shouted again, alternating between wearing his oxygen mask and breathing while pointing to the massive screen that displayed the ongoing fight via satellites and news feeds.

Batman had watched the creature's videos in the veterinarian office and saw how quickly it got rid of Cyborg and J'onn in order to battle Thor, who was clearly the strongest among them, reasoning that it was trained to prioritize heavy hitters. He knew it would not hesitate to put an end to them as soon as possible.

They all turned to the screen trying to understand what the dark knight was talking about. They saw blood all over Thor's armour but he didn't look injured or tired in the least bit with him exchanging blows with the beast and his hammer. Superman was coming out of a building that had just toppled on top of him.

"We can handle ourselves out there." Booster spoke in conviction having watched enough and wanting to help.

"I know you all can, but it is being handled." Batman spoke in an ordering voice to the junior leaguers.

"He's right. It's too dangerous." Captain America spoke out from black widows side. They had come out of their wing when the alarms went off and watched through the monitor everything that happened from the time the meteorite hit the earth.

"Who are you to tell us what to do!" Red tornado angrily looked at Cap.

"He is a league member who has far more experience than all of you combined." Batman angrily voiced out already getting tired of arguing with his subordinates.

"That beast is pure rage rivalling that of the Hulks. It would be wise to heed Batmans words." Wanda said having sensed the beasts rage from the watchtower.

"And why isn't the green guy there helping? Is he not a part of the league?" One hero asked them, clearly noting that the guy who knocked out superman could be of great use right about now.

"He can't" Captain America answered immediately. "He is in our base on monitor duty. If he joins the fight, let's just say Metropolis would be completely unrecognizable." Captain America further explained when he saw the confused and angry looks on the leaguers faces. Cap knew from what he saw on the monitors that the hulk and this Doomsday would no doubt leave a trail of damages in their wake trying to subdue the other.

"Well…I am going. It can't harm me." Supergirl explained standing defiantly in front of batman. He couldn't make her stay even if he wanted to.

"I knew you would say that." Batman said before Wanda activated the watchtowers communication system. He had telepathically called out to Wanda and explained what had to be done without alerting the others.

"Supergirl stand down! We've got this handled. Activate protocol safe house." Supermans voice shouted from the audio system.

"Confirmed" batman acknowledged.

The whole watchtower was now on lockdown with every access point closed down and barricaded. It took Batman and Supermans voice to activate that protocol. It was designed in case the watchtower came under attack.

"We want to help." Supergirl said clenching her fists, angry that the senior members did not trust that they could handle themselves.

"I know but it's not a world ending threat. They will deal with it. Wonder woman will also help them." Batman replied before putting the oxygen mask on and being wheeled away on the stretcher. He knew when he was beat and needed some rest.

"Shit!" When Supergirl saw Wonder woman had vanished, she cursed because she flew down to Earth rather than using the teleporter. Wonder woman was aware of most of the safeguards set in place in the watchtower, so she snuck away before Batman activated the lockdown, knowing that the less experienced superheroes would be at a disadvantage against the beast, who could go blow for blow with Superman.

Supergirl could have easily broken through the barricades, but she didn't. It was all about respect and accountability. She couldn't go against her cousin's or Batman's commands in front of the leaguers, so she elected to follow the fight via the monitor and would go down by force to help if the beast proved too much.

"Who is that?" Booster gold asked having returned to the monitor making the other heroes to gather around him staring at the new figure joining the fight.

"I have no idea" Cap answered confirming to them it wasn't one of his teammates.

Earth

When the dust settled, both targets were buried beneath the rubble in their respective craters. The force of the impact threw them backwards and into the ground.

Thor appeared, his arm bleeding while two of the beasts bone protrusions was stabbed through his arm and chest.

The beast appeared with a broken hand and both legs broken, both of which were regenerating quickly.

Miljonir flew back into his arm, then a massive lightning flash engulfed him, and Thor emerged as good as new. He knew that once the bones were removed, he would heal, but he didn't want to waste any time, so he used Miljonir's strength to do it quickly.

The beast was already up and charging at him again. A stone throw away, a red and blue blur collided with and sent it crashing into a petrol station which exploded, sending it further back.

"Sorry I took so long." Superman apologized floating above Thor who was walking towards the now flaming station.

"I was handling it." He dismissed his statement.

"Sure you were." Superman retorted.

"The beast is stronger than it looks." Thor said.

"Doomsday." superman stated.

"What?" Thor inquired.

"Doomsday... It's what they are calling it." As Superman recounted, a flying car ploughed him out of the air, sending him crashing into the side of a building, which toppled on top of him.

Doomsday bellowed angrily, knocking everything in its path towards them. Although it was a weapon designed to eliminate all sentient creatures, it was sophisticated enough to notice that this planet was different from the last one it decimated. This one had protectors who were just as strong as it was, considering the force of the strike delivered by the flying guy. Its program noted that it needed to finish this assignment fast and that was what it was going to do. The two men had to die first.

Thor clenched his fists and re-engaged Doomsday. The fight becoming more brutal than ever. He unleashed an uppercut on Doomsday, driving it somewhat back, only for Superman to follow up with a barrage of punches, further confounding Doomsday. The combination of Thor and Superman proved too much for it to handle. The man of steel launched his heat vision, blasting Doomsday towards Thor, who jumped at it, pummelling it to the ground with all the might he could muster. Doomsday clashed with the ground, which gave way due to the sheer force of the collision, resulting in it landing on the subway system. An abandoned train was parked there, probably by the fleeing citizens as the railway line was blocked up front by the rubble created from the fight.

Doomsday got hold of one part of the train and threw it through the hole it created, colliding with superman who was flying down through it to engage it again.

Superman managed to get hold of the train mid-air and stop its momentum before Doomsday leaped and crashed into it with his fist tearing through the train and connecting with Superman who was thrown back and out of the hole with the wrecked train adding to his momentum.

Thor saw superman crash out of the hole with a train on top of him landing somewhere behind him then heard a roar. Gripping Miljonir, he jumped into the hole.

In a cave, Amazon jungle

Banner was watching the whole fight going on. He had to acknowledge Doomsday was quite powerful to still hold up against superman and Thor, with the other league founding members defeated and recuperating aside, leaving their top hitters to handle it.

He wanted to join the fray but Black widow had communicated to him that bringing the Hulk into the fight would be the last option if all else failed. Now, he was waiting for their signal to join the fight. Banner knew that was the best option because the beasts and the hulks combined rage would probably lead to half the continent of the USA being destroyed or buried under the rubble.

He relaxed in his seat when he saw the beast was slowly being overpowered, although it was still putting up a fight. Each of the contender's punches grew stronger than the last.

Metropolis

Half of metropolis was destroyed. The windows were shattered from the shockwaves created by the powerful punches and collisions, while buildings crumpled under the contenders superior physiologies when colliding against them.

Superman was currently climbing out under the rubble of his huge statue which stood in the middle of Metropolis Park.

Thor on the other hand was being pummelled into the ground, each punch stronger than the last.

Doomsday had since activated his heat vision which was much more powerful than Supermans, to both their surprises.

The bone protrusion on Doomsdays knuckle extended in length, wanting to end Thor with it before he regained his footing in the battle, having had enough of his interruptions.

Miljonir was cutting through the wreckages flying to Thor, who had summoned it when Doomsday managed to surprise him by unleashing his heat vision which halfway melted his body armour. His chest had intensive cuts from the durable bones on its body.

An explosion engulfed both of them but only launched Doomsday away from Thor whose hammer had just arrived. He stood up gripping Miljonir and looked around trying to figure out who had just temporarily blasted it away.

"Yeah yeah...you can thank me later Prince." Tony's voice was heard as he landed next to Thor in his iron man suit.

"You should not be here." Thor stated to Tony. "It is too dangerous. This beast is unlike any we have ever faced apart from the hulk." He explained while Doomsdays roar alerted them to his rampaging rage, heading for them.

"He's right. I think its part Kryptonian. That's why it can keep up." Superman added flying down next to them wanting to form a new plan of attack because brute force only lead to more property damages. "It kills anything that moves. That's why the Justice League members have been ordered not to engage. Unlike the hulk, this one has no conscious"

"I know" Tony said shrugging as if it was a normal occurrence. "That's why I brought my own back up." He revealed while smirking inside his helmet.

On cue, a huge red hulking figure collided with the oncoming projectile that was Doomsday with both of them crashing into two tanks that were abandoned by the fleeing soldiers before an explosion engulfed both of them.

"I didn't know the hulk could camouflage." superman wondered out loud looking at the raging flame that engulfed Doomsday and the red figure.

"That's because he can't." Iron man answered superman. "That is Ben." He clarified at their confused looks. Thor also thought for a second it was Banner because all of the Hulks powers were not yet known and he too, Banner, didn't know the full extent of his alter egos power.

Thundering punches could be heard from the other side of the flames before Doomsday came flying through the flames and past them. He collided with an electric pole behind them and broke it in half before ending up in an abandoned tour bus some distance away.

"This is what I'm talking about!" An enthusiastic base voice bellowed before storming past them with forceful footsteps in the direction of Doomsday. It had been far too long since Ben had been in a good fight.

The enormous figure sprinting by them surprised Superman and Thor, with each step breaking the Tarmac and countless debris on the ground crumbling under its feet.

They saw a buff and red being with four green eyes and spikes on its arms. It possessed four arms, the upper two looking more like its primary set due to their massive size and muscles, while the second lower set was smaller but also had highly defined muscles. It stood 15 feet tall and had four hands, each with three fingers and a thumb. According to Superman's expertise, it had a build similar to the Hulks or Grundy.

Doomsday stepped out of the tour bus, ripping it in half and hurling both halves towards its new rival. Doomsday could battle indefinitely; after all, that is what it was designed to do.

Four arms punched the incoming projectiles to the side before meeting with Doomsday's fists, his second set of arms punching it repeatedly until it head butted him, forcing him to release it. It let out a growl before punching Four arms as hard as it could, sending him flying past Superman, Thor, and Ironman, who were all taken aback by Ben's new form.

This brought them out of their daze and attacked doomsday again. They were the only thing standing between humanity and this raging monstrosity with some of Supermans physiology.

Doomsday was barely hanging on against all of those powerhouses. When it temporarily outmatched one of them, the others would rain down on it, making it difficult but not impossible for it to keep up, even with the benefit of Kryptonian DNA.

It was Darkseid's greatest weapon for a reason, and only he could make it stand down or stop an attack, because the only way for it to stop is if it kills everything on a planet or is killed, which was an impossible task.

When Doomsday utilized its heat vision, Thor reacted and stopped it with Miljonir, rendering it ineffective. He whirled Miljonir, allowing him flight, and set off for Doomsday, who anticipated the attack coming and countered it by dodging Miljonir's strike at the last second due to his speed and reflexes that were swiftly adapting to the fight. It grabbed his cape and tugged it, aiming to crush him to the ground, but Thor anticipated this because instead of halting, Doomsday was carried along while clutching Thor's cape. Miljonir's momentum, which was currently extended to its master, could not be stopped unless Thor ordered it to.

Doomsday noticed his mistake and let go of Thor's cape causing it to crash into the Tarmac before coming to a stop, only to be bombarded by an angry Supermans punches, disorienting it further until it blocked his right fist before with great force, pierced his thigh with its left fist which had extended a bone protrusion on its knuckles.

"Aargh" superman cried out before being punched away into an office building that was barely holding on.

Before Doomsday could gather itself, Four arms thunder clapped, creating a large shockwave which brought down any weak building within a mile radius but Doomsday powered through with minor bone protrusions breaking off from its body before growing back.

Four arms was already punching away at it. Doomsday couldn't dodge all of his extra arms, but being faster gave it an advantage as it blocked two of his incoming fists then met the other two head on for a few seconds until it kneed him in the stomach. Its bone claw slightly penetrated Four arms extremely durable skin then punched him away.

Thor and Iron man were helping superman to evacuate the remaining civilians from the office building he was thrown into. He had since healed from his injuries and was flying the civilians out of the area before handing them over to Cyborg and J'onn who were also evacuating the people before the fight got to them.

After getting over the pain, Four arms stood up facing Doomsday cracking his knuckles, walking towards it while smirking. Doomsday did the same but with an angry expression intending to end him once and for all, then proceed with its mission. It charged for the hundredth time that day. They had been fighting the whole day since it was nearly night time.

"Ok..." Four arms said stretching his muscles. Doomsday was tougher than he thought. Tougher than any villain he had ever fought. Tougher than Vilgax, conqueror of 10 worlds. He was a hero and would die before letting this Doomsday get the better of Ben 10.

"I'm going to fuck you up!" He bellowed the words of the brave soldier that had died earlier and charged at Doomsday, who was more than ready to make him submit by sheer force.

Earlier, Ben had been with Iron man heading to the avengers cave in the Amazon forest when they intercepted the video feed being streamed by every top government official and the Justice league, making them to turn and head back to help.

A few meters apart, a bright green light engulfed Four arms, blinding the cameras from the daring helicopters flying up in the air, capturing the entire fight for the whole world to see. Doomsday didn't flinch from the light and charged on with his fist raised, ready to punch Four arms into submission.

A second later... BOOOOM! A large shockwave was produced and Doomsday was seem flying up and back into the air, colliding with one of the flying choppers before ending up in another petrol station whose explosion rocked Metropolis for the hundredth time that day.

"I call him Supreme." His base voice sounded while he hovered above the ground, looking at Doomsday crashing into the petrol station.

Ben had turned into his Kryptonian form having noticed that Four arms was powerful but slow compared to Doomsday. Doomsday was also leagues stronger than Four arms.

Superman managed to get hold of the tumbling chopper before placing it down on top of one of the rooftops, a distance away from the fighting.

"Thanks again supes." Jimmy Olsen spoke up coming out of the totaled chopper with a coughing Lois Lane behind him.

"What are you doing here!? I told you to stay away!" Superman demanded catching his breath for a moment.

"You don't own Metropolis or me," Lois said, coughing from all the smoke and rinsing her eyes with bottled water. "Besides, I have a story to tell-." she came to a halt, taken aback by Superman's look after seeing him up close. His suit had small tears all over it, and his already healed wounds were still an angry scarlet red, a noticeable contrast to his coloured costume.

"Are you okay?" Lois asked concerned for him. She knew the beast was strong, since she was the one who started his name, Doomsday, for the news channels.

"I am." "Wooooaaaah" Superman answered at the same time Jimmy exclaimed.

They both looked to what he was looking at. The new guy looked more similar to superman physically but was more buff and had minor yet major differences. His costume was of a unique design too as he looked like he had just stepped out of a red carpet event.

"Is that...?" She asked quietly, making sure Jimmy didn't hear their conversation.

Superman merely nodded.

"Why aren't the other league members coming to back you up?" Jimmy asked, suddenly noticing it was only the three of them fighting Doomsday.

"Seriously?" Lois looked incredulously at her minion.

"We are the backup." superman sighed before flying off.

"Be careful" Lois whispered afraid for her boyfriend. The only other time superman had ever looked like that after a fight was when he faced Darkseid, the most evil person the earth has ever known.

Doomsday was confused as to what happened. That punch was way more powerful than the previous ones the red being dished out. It walked out of the burning petrol station, his bone protrusions growing with his anger.

BOOOOOOM! Miljonir rammed into it, creating a large crater where it lay writhing, its body rapidly healing from the damage caused by Thor's weapon which was already flying back to its master.

BOOOOM! Superman slammed into Doomsday fist first still in the crater, enlarging the already large crater with its bone protrusions shatteres from Miljonirs first impact.

Its healing capabilities was impressive, but like any other abilities, it had a limit when it came to similar powerful things like it. The constant pummelling and attacks from Miljonir and Supermans punches were starting to strain it.

Desperate, Doomsday reached out his hand sideways and gripped a fallen electric pole and swatted superman to the side to allow it some seconds to recuperate.

BOOOOOM! Supreme slammed into it, unleashing a powerful blast of heat vision right in Doomsday's face, melting its durable facial skin and muscles. He landed powerful punches all over its upper body, breaking bones with each punch.

Doomsday's eyes glowed red before he countered Supreme with his own heat vision, culminating in an explosion that knocked Supreme back and up in the air while Doomsday was exposed to the brunt of the blast, exacerbating the injuries its body was desperately attempting to heal.

BOOOOOOM! ROOOOOAAAAARRRRR! Miljonir slammed Doomsday's chest, fracturing his chest muscles and ribs before returning to its master while it uttering a painful roar that rocked the entire city. I's warrior instincts and programming were still urging it to get up and fight despite the agony and wounds.

BOOOM! Supreme sped down at supersonic speed at Doomsdays still laying and writhing form before he tapped the watch on his hand and a bright green light engulfed him for a moment before BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The whole area was filled with dust, lowering anyone's visibility of what just happened and every buildings foundation shook from the impact.

Superman flew and floated beside Thor and Iron man who had returned from scanning the buildings incase more civilians were trapped inside.

Everyone stared as the dust settled. Cannon bolt was a huge, broad-shouldered extra-terrestrial with yellow armour plating on its back, shoulders, and the rear of its arms. It stood on top of Doomsday's broken body. It had four claws on both of its hands and was white on its upper half. It flexed its body while still looking down at Doomsday before tapping the mark on its chest once again and transforming back into Supreme.

"I told you I'd fuck you up!" Supreme warned as he looked down at Doomsday's writhing body, which was attempting to repair its massive injuries. "That was for Grimm and his squad!" He said this before scooping it up.

A golden indestructible rope wound itself on its form before it went taught, making Doomsday to fall on the ground.

"It will rise after a few minutes. We need to find a way to secure it." Superman said, knowing it was already healing from its injuries.

"Any ideas?" Iron man asked from beside them, looking wearily at its body slowly healing and popping it's broken bones back in place. He had never seen anything like it before. Up-close it had a grotesque appearance.

"None." Superman spoke up while using his x-ray vision to check on its healing progress.

"Let us throw it into the sun." Thor suggested to them but none seemed to be for that idea. They were not murderers. In Asgard, such a worthy and dangerous foe would have a one way ticket into the scorching sun then the warriors would celebrate the whole night. It still amazed him how soft such a primitive race was, killing being a taboo for most of them.

"Trixx, what is this?" Supreme asked his trusted AI aloud.

"According to its DNA strand, It is a weaponized being created using Superman's Kryptonian DNA and Solar Energy while exposed to unnatural evolution experiments." Trixx informed them.

"I think I know where it is came from." Superman said looking at Wonder woman who spotted a worried expression but soon righted herself.

"It can't be, Cyborg said he could never come back after destroying the motherbox." She said, looking down at the monstrosity.

"Trixx, how can we restrain this weapon?" Supreme asked into the audio system of the Omnitrix on his wrist.

"Lobotomy and throwing it into the sun. Its cells does not process solar radiation as efficiently as a kryptonian." Trixx answered much to the gasp of Wonder woman while the others were just staring at him.

"What? I am not the one who stated it." Supreme defended himself and put up his hands.

"Then who will do it? Because I sense it won't be down for much longer" Thor said staring at Doomsday who was starting to flex its wrists.

Through Supremes eyes, he could see all the data Trixx had for him and the stats on who was likely to do it.

'Can you fix it like how you did the DNA aliens back at home?' he asked her mentally. He did not want to raise their hopes on a non existent solution. 'Come to think of it, why haven't you captured its DNA?'

'The experiments conducted on it made sure its DNA strand was disintegrated. I cannot repair the damage because there is no base DNA strand to revert its body to.' She explained displaying to him all she was talking about in his HUD.

"It is about to regain all movement to its body." Trixx informed them via the audio system and Superman stepped forward. It is the only way, he thought.

"Fuck it." Supreme blurred over to Doomsday, who had just opened its eyes when he arrived. He blasted two beams from his eyes, scorching while melting its thick skin and bones before frying it prefrontal cortex, causing Doomsday to go limp in his hands and gaze into the air, no life in its eyes.

"Done. Let's finish this up." Supreme stated without glancing around. He seized Doomsday and shot out into space.

The others exchanged glances before following Supreme to outer space, where the watchtower was located. Thor lifted Miljonir into the air before departing, the clouds cracked, and it began to rain fiercely, extinguishing the multiple blazing fires throughout the city. He took a quick look around at the destruction before swinging Miljonir and shooting up to the sky.

Unknown figures in dark suits with dark shades started running around the battle field collecting every fluid sample they could find in the rain. Orders being for them to acquire Supermans, Thor's, Doomsday and Supreme DNA samples from the battlefield.

Watchtower

Supreme arrived at the watchtower, where Batman had already disabled the lockdown mode, and landed in the hanger. He walked to one of their modern holding cells and put Doomsday down before scrolling his watch and transforming in a blinding flash of green, with every hero in the vicinity shielding their eyes for a few seconds. They saw a humanoid entity with a gel-like body. It was green in hue and featured one cyclopean eye in the centre of its face while its whole body was patterned with green circuitry.

Upgrade morphed with one holding cell and appeared to change its design. It made improvements to the cell before disengaging and letting the onlookers see what he had done.

It was a state of the art cell with an energy force field on all sides with system upgrades that couldn't be hacked.

In a bright green flash again, he turned back to Supreme, grabbed Doomsday and threw it in, before re-engaging the force field and walking away.

"It had to be done" said Thor before walking away and Wonder woman following him. The others walked away in silence too, each of them needing to rest and heal up properly from the fierce battle with Doomsday. The rest of the leaguers gathered around its cell to look at the creature that caused such untold destruction in Metropolis. Looking at it made a shiver run down the spines of most of them.

Supreme was starving, which he attributed to the fact that he was in a new form. He didn't notice the other heroes' quiet whispers or the curious eyes directed at him. They knew it was Ben who had shapeshifted into someone strikingly resembling Superman. Most of them thought he had the same powers as Martian Man Hunter. The ladies certainly didn't mind his current developed body.

He was currently tuned into the Watchtower's CCTV live video streams and noticed Supergirl conversing with Superman a few metres ahead.

He cursed at the unfortunate timing before proceeding to serve then made his way to his room on the avenger side of the tower. He hoped his presence had gone unnoticed.

He walked absentmindedly, letting his senses lead the way as he was deep in thought. Sure he had taken a life before, which was an accident, but he didn't mind because he had been a warlord who slaughtered planets. What worried him was how the others would perceive him now, possibly as a killer, even though Doomsday wasn't technically dead.

"Wait up." A smooth voice called out from behind him, stopping him in his tracks. His thought process long forgotten.

He turned around. "Hey?" He said in his base voice with a smile on his face.

"You are Ben...are you Ben..?" She asked with uncertainty in her voice at the towering figure in front of her.

"Depends on who is asking." He smirked at her much to her annoyance.

"I have a message for him." She smiled at him.

"It is m-." He started answering but was cut short by a punch to his arm followed by a shriek coming from Supergirl. "Oooowwww."

"Hey! What was that for!?" Supreme asked angrily, looking at her as she massaged her knuckles while looking at him perplexed.

"How come I felt that?" she asked as she scanned his from head to toe. She knew he was a shape shifter from all the times he transformed into various creatures while fighting Doomsday and she was also sure he was not a Martian. Scanning his recent form, she couldn't help but admire it as he was an older version of Ben, his features still present in Supreme. Her senses sensed something familiar about him but she ignored it.

What puzzled her was why she felt her punch connecting to him even though she had held back most of her strength as she usually did when dealing with humans. She was not supposed to feel anything given their different physiologies.

"Maybe it is because I am stronger than you," Supreme shrugged, earning a hearty laugh from her.

He smiled even though she was laughing at him.

"Yeah right! And I'm stronger than Superman," she mocked him. The only other people stronger than her was her cousin, J'onn, Wonder woman, maybe that Thor guy and probably Doomsday.

"Oh. You are actually serious about that?" Supergirl said, impressed by his ego to feel manly by the way he was watching her.

Supreme smirked at her and to his surprise, she burst out laughing again while apologizing profusely for her behaviour but still laughing nonetheless. A mere shape shifter can't be stronger than her. Her thoughts drifted to plastic man, their other resident shape shifter. That only made it worse for her, as all his tomfoolery assaulted her thoughts. She continued laughing.

The heroes within the vicinity who were already staring at Supreme before Supergirl joined him, wondered what he could have said to make her laugh so much and so hard.

Although he would have like to continue seeing her smile and laugh, he needed to settle this once and for all; his very big superhero ego was on the line. His left hand that was not carrying his food sought her right hand and grabbed her wrist. He then tightened his grip on her.

Supergirl stopped laughing when she felt the pressure he was applying on her wrist. Puzzles, she looked at it then up at his smirking face. She tried wiggling it to free herself from his grasp, taking care not to use too much strength that could hurt him. Supreme further tightened his hold on her. She peered up at him again before tagging at his hand with more force than before. It did not budge, only tightened more.

He smirked at her, much to her chagrin, and she yanked hard on the hand on her wrist, but it only budged and didn't let go.

"How? Magic?" She asked Supreme cconfused. It was the only weakness that villains tended to use frequently because green kryptonite was hard to get. Maybe I Ingested kryptonite she thought.

"I am a Kryptonian," Supreme answered and swiftly ducked at the slap headed for his cheek at incredible speeds. If he wasn't Kryptonian he could have probably died that night.

"Hey! Watch it." Supreme shouted to her. She looked murderous and closing in on Supreme.

The heroes watching their interaction gasped at Supergirls behaviour.

"How dare you...!" She began, her eyes glowing red from anger.

"Oh shit!" Supreme exclaimed finally understanding what was happening. She thought he was desecrating Kryptons name after their unfortunate demise.

"Wait! It's not what I mea-." he ducked missing her heat vision which sliced through two walls before she recalled them.

"Yeah..." Supreme started but vanished in a flash using his super speed which Supergirl copied and followed him.

Trixx had located superman in his room and supreme raced there before she caught up.

"What is happening?" Superman asked worried that maybe Doomsday had gotten free and he came to warn him.

Supreme stood beside him and pointed at a fuming Supergirl heading their way.

"I told her I am Kryptonian," he said and superman nodded his head, understanding what was happening.

Apokolips

Darkseid watched the battle with great interest because of the new heroes on earth.

He was also surprised when they managed to subdue his weapon though temporarily. It would awaken again...eventually.

This group could not be left unchecked. He was especially interested in the one that seemed to be a shape shifter who had very interesting powers because he changed to a firm similar to the kryptonian. Complete with his powers as he watched Supreme use his heat vision.

"Sire there are no records of these heroes. Our contact said that they appeared out of nowhere a few weeks ago."

Interesting. Could it be that they are also inter universal travellers? Darkseid thought.

Things were getting really interesting and his army was about to receive very capable commanders.

"I want to know everything that happened in the past month on Earth. Everything!" He stressed.

OA

The Guardians of the Galaxy were watching what was happening on earth.

As soon as a boom tube opened up in earth's orbit, the Guardians were alerted at the technology from Apokolips.

They watched Doomsday emerge from the pod. A weapon Darkseid was rumoured to possess that could kill gods themselves if given the chance for battle. One guardian quickly suggested to send a squadron of the nearest green lanterns to earth as Hal had not yet arrived.

They watched it kill the soldiers and gravely injure one of the earth's protectors named Batman and an unknown woman.

Strange, they thought, because when an image they project is marked unknown, then it is not in any database on OA or the guardians vast knowledge as they knew all humans, well at least had files on everyone, even one day olds.

They had seen enough and started contacting the nearest squadron of green lantern Galaxy patrol when they saw it fighting someone with a seemingly powerful weapon.

"That looks like level 19 technology" one guardian said referring to Miljonir, making it as powerful as their green lantern rings. The others simply watched on because they observed Thor was capable of handling the situation.

When the shape shifting guy they presumed had the watch Hal Jordan spoke of arrived, they concentrated on the symbol of the watch while the guy transformed in blinding light.

"That technology is above level 20. Very intriguing indeed." The guardian spoke watching when Ben transformed into his version of superman.

"It seems it transforms the user to the prime specimen of the specie." Another said looking at the better version of superman.

"That is why he was able to briefly hack us." One pointed out the incident that took place not too long ago.

Ben had managed to get some few files before the guardians cut him off, reconfiguring their security packets.

"It must contain a higher level of quantum processing if it is able to calculate and maintain that watch with all that it could do." One voiced out to the others, all in agreement.

"Should such a powerful device be left at the hands of a homo sapien?" One asked out loud the question they were all thinking.

"We couldn't take it even if we wanted to. Who knows what all those aliens he collected in there could do." One answered much to the annoy meant of the others.

"Let us hope that he will help his friends in their coming struggles and battles." One spoke up before all of them left the war room in a straight line.

News of earth, a primitive planet, being able to stop one of Darkseids most feared weapon was spreading throughout the universe at an alarming rate.
