"Well this is awkward." Kaede sighed as a large spear bounced off her stomach for the twelfth time.
A few minutes ago, Kaede had been surrounded by hundreds of Voltoids, each of them wielding large spears charged full of lightning.
Each of the Voltoids was a powerful being comparable to high level S Ranks on earth, and their spears allowed them to pierce through the thickest of armours.
However.
CLANG!
Kaede scratched her head as a Voltoid stumbled backwards after his spear completely bounced off her shoulder. "This feels a lot like déjà vu."

"And there's so many too." Kaede said as multiple attacks rained on her, each of them releasing massive amounts of lightning.
The lightning within the rain of spears chained together to form a combination attack.
CHAIN LIGHTNING BURST!!
This attack was even able to suppress the Colossus for a few seconds.
However...

"Didn't work huh." Kaede said in a sorry tone, as if feeling bad that the attack that was meant to kill her simply washed over her like a massage. "Uhh... You can do it?"
A blinding light shone, as a massive rope of lightning struck Kaede head on, pushing her back a few feet, her shoes dragging a small trench in the ground.
When the smoke cleared, Kaede was unfortunately... Unharmed?
"HMMMN?" Becquerel hummed. "TO NOT HAVE A SCRATCH EVEN AFTER RECEIVING MY LIGHTNING."
Kaede stepped forward. "Can you see now that fighting me is useless. Please just give me the shard. You people aren't mindless monsters, I don't want to have to kill you."
"KILL US?" Becquerel scoffed. "YOU MIGHT HAVE DEFEATED THE COLOSSUS, HOWEVER YOU CANNOT USE THE POWER THAT YOU USED IN THIS MOUNTAIN WITHOUT PUTTING YOURSELF AT RISK."
Kaede sweatdropped as she murmured. "But I'm immune to poison though." She wouldn't be at any risk if she just bathed the entire mountain with Hydra.
"THIS IS HARDLY NEW TO US." Becquerel said. "WHILE YOUR DEFENSES MAYBE COMPARABLE TO THAT OF THE COLOSSUS, YOU'RE JUST ONE PERSON. YOUR DEFENSE WILL BE WHITTLED DOWN, AND YOUR DEFEAT IMMINENT."
Kaede tilted her head. "Just one person? Don't let anyone from New World Online hear you say that. Although, that does remind me. I still need to really see what these guys can do, and since you're offering." She smirked. "Predator."
As if reality was yawning into existence, a purple portal opened up behind Kaede, growing larger until it was at least six metres tall.
A large claw stretched out, flexing all four very sharp fingers before slamming the ground right next to Kaede. The shockwave from the slam, passed through Kaede's hair and clothes like a windy afternoon.
A second claw followed, landing on the Kaede's other side.
Then both claws pulled, and a large mouth slowly emerged above Kaede.
The creature finally pulled itself out of the portal on all fours. Once it was completely out, it stood to its full height of nine meters.
The voltoids all collectively took a step back as they gazed at something that was both awe inspiring and terrifying at the same time.
Kaede's purple eyes shine from within the darkness that was the shadow cast by the massive figure.
The creature exhaled, dark fumes dissipating from its mouth, as dozens of smaller predator demons rushed out of the portal behind it, each of them running by Kaede and the much larger creature.
Becquerel raised his hand forward and the Voltoids regained their bravado, rushing towards the demons with a new ferocity.
Predators and Voltoids clashed as spears met claws, and flames met lightning.
Kaede turned back to gaze at the giant predator behind her. "You're new. I wonder why you didn't come out the last time I used predator. Does that mean that the predators come out at random? Why don't you show me how powerful you are buddy."
The creature grinned and dear God, was it terrifying. And then it vanished.
Kaede blinked. "My Agility stat is quite high now. I should be just as fast as big sister, and yet… I didn't see it move."
BOOM!
She turned back to the battlefield, seeing that Becquerel was now blocking two massive right hooks from the massive predator with his arms crossed.
"I KNOW YOUR KIND." Becquerel managed to say as he resisted the force behind the blow. "PREDATOR DEMONS. FROM THE LOWER MAWS OF THE DEMON REALM. NOTHING BUT BARBARIC ANIMALS..." His words were cut off as the predator's fists won the struggle.
The ground shattered and Becquerel was sent smashing into his throne.
The massive predator bellowed in what might have been either a laugh or a screech.
Back on the battlefield, the voltoids faced the predators in gruesome battle, ripping and slicing eachother apart.
However the numbers advantage was held by the Voltoids as the portal was just opened, and the Predators hadn't had enough time to really increase their numbers.
"Hmmmn." Kaede tilted her head. "This is a little… is it a really a weakness or a boon, I'm not sure. With enough time, I could have a really massive army, however, against a really powerful enemy, there might not be a chance for them to grow in numbers before they're all cut down."
As she spoke, she watched the predators being slaughtered by the Voltoids due to being weaker and being outnumbered.
Kaede's eyes widened, as the first Voltoid fell, and a dozen predators descended on the corpse, devouring it instantly. The reason she was surprised was because immediately after they ate the voltoid, the nine out of twelve predators that had managed to eat, started crackling with lightning.
They had gained the ability of the voltoids to produce lightning from their bodies.
The battlefield stilled for but a moment, as both predator and voltoid gazed at the new lightning clad predators.
The battle resumed the next instant and with even more fervour than before. The predators fought even more viciously as they wanted to gain the voltoids power too. The voltoids fought more vehemently, trying to destroy the predators before they became immune to the lightning by eating them.
"ENOUGH!" Becquerel's voice boomed through the mountain.
The massive predator leaped towards him, all four claws poised to stab through the Voltoid's leader, when a large ledge burst out of the ground, slamming into the predator.
Becquerel's throne started shaking as the mountain wall that it was carved into started stirring.
No.
It was no mountain wall.
The throne rose… and rose until beneath the throne, a form was revealed.
It was almost a hundred meters tall, with its slightly Humanoid upper body that was connected to two massive snapping claws. It's lower half resembled that of a spider.
Kaede strained her head trying to look up at the monster. "Is that… a crab?"

Mutated Scale Crab

"Yep. It's a crab. I haven't had crab legs before too." Kaede said. "It says mutated though. Ehn doesn't matter, food's food."
"IT APPEARS I SHALL HAVE TO TAKE YOU SERIOUSLY." Becquerel growled as a spear appeared in his hand, with a yell, he stabbed the spear into the crab's head, the lightning in the spear flowing into a small gem on the crab's head. "CRUSH THEM!"
The crab raised a claw, wreathed in lightning, before slamming it down at insane speeds.
The point of impact immediately liquified into slag, as dozens of predators and Voltoids perished in that one attack.
That wasn't all, it would seem, as the lightning in the claw, crawled through the ground passing through the voltoids as they acted as a conductor before frying any predators that it came in contact with.
In a few seconds, the predators had reduced to a few dozens.
The crab screeched as another gem between its eyes glowed yellow, before a plasmic lightning shot out of the crystal.
The massive predator roared, firing a red beam from its mouth.
Both attack clashed, causing an explosion that completely eradicated the entire top half of the mountain, bringing sunshine down on the battlefield.
Kaede was still watching. "I feel like a general right now. Leading my army to battle. We're losing though."
She turned back to the portal behind her, that was still releasing predators from its depths. "Predator only cost me 200 mp, I still have more. I wonder…"
"Predator."
A second portal appeared right next to the first one.
"Predator."
A third portal appeared in the other side.
Kaede grinned, as four more portals appeared behind her, each of them pumping out dozens of predators. "Would you look at that."
From one of the portal, a massive centipede crawled out, climbing up the walls of the mountain as it fired purple bolts at the voltoids.
Kaede chuckled. "I knew it. So it is random. Although it's not a predator though, I don't care. With enough time, I could have an army of different monsters." She cackled. "Who could possibly stop me!?"
Behind Kaede, one of the portals flashed yellow, as a black tentacle extended forward, and with blinding speed, something blitzed out of the portal and out of the mountain, with no one the wiser.
