Chapter 49 - 49. General Csito's táltoses

"Do you remember your previous life?" Etele huffed and just to be safe, he pressed Razvan's face with his index finger before the boy grabbed his wrist.

"Don't want me to dig your skull out of your damn grave and smash it to pieces!" Razvan growled at him.

"It's okay, calm down leader!" Etele rolled his eyes.

"I'm not calm Svihák! Where is Rahul?" He asked again.

"No need to worry, he's with Inepta." Etele waved.

"With Inepta?" Razvan's eyes widened.

"Of course! As you can see, this is his shaman's circle." The ghost nodded towards the obstacle. "The scumbag managed to reach the táltos five stars, otherwise he wouldn't be able to live anymore and his shaman's circle wouldn't be so strong." Etele put his hands on his hips. "I just want to know why he caught the children and why he keeps Rahul apart?" The ghost held his chin in thought.

"You were with Rahul, huh?" Razvan frowned.

"I'm usually there." Etele shook his head.

"He wanted to attract your attention." Razvan folded his arms in front of him.

"What?" The ghost started to blink rapidly.

"He was head over heels for you." The former general Csito answered.

"What?" Etele's eyes widened.

"Don't say you didn't notice. This was one of the most talked about rumors in the camp." Razvan folded his arms in front of him.

"I stopped following the rumors after I heard that they said that Riki eats people." The ghost turned his head.

"But Riki eats people." The boy noted.

"Shut up! My little Riki doesn't eat people!" Etele pressed his finger into the child's face.

"I told you that you are his mother." Razvan grinned.

"You..." The ghost pressed his lips together.

"Whatever. Now it's more important to get the others out of there. Svihák, I don't care how you do it, but get Inepta to come here. We have something to discuss." He gave the order.

"You were scared the children a lot before." Etele frowned.

"They are with Inepta." The other waved. "As long as you're here, they won't have any problems." He announced. "So go."

"Yes sir! Yes, sir!" Etele raised his hands and disappeared from Razvan only to go back to the shaman's circle, where he found the tent where Rahul and Inepta were. He stopped at the door of the tent, pulled himself out, then appeared in front of everyone and shouted. "Hey, one-eyed! Push your ass out! Someone wants to talk to you!" Then he fell silent, but received no reaction apart from the wondering gray-clad hegins. He was about to yell again when the one-eyed hegin left the tent.

"Etele?" The one-eyed man whispered and then he swallowed.

"Inepta." The ghost nodded.

"Did you want to talk to me?" The quiet question came and it was as if hope had glimmered in the hegin's eyes.

"First of all, no." Etele shook his head, which caused sadness to shine in Inepta's healthy eye. "But I also have a couple of things to discuss with you." The ghost continued, then turned away. "Come after me." He declared and started towards the edge of the shaman's circle straight in the direction of Razvan.

"Boss! You shouldn't trust a ghost." One of the hegins caught Inepta's arm. Etele just looked back at them with raised eyebrows. However, the one-eyed hegin did not even look at his subordinate, he just stared at the ghost in front of him.

"I know what I'm doing." He announced, then smiled faintly. "He's an old friend of mine."

"If I remember correctly, you hated me in the beginning, because I became the new favorite of the Tapló leader." Etele snorted.

"You were the stronger of the two of us. General Csito made the right decision when he chose you as his first táltos." Inepta said seriously, which made Etele turn away from him.

"I'll go crazy if the blindy was right." He muttered to himself as he started towards the edge of the shaman's circle again. After that, no one stopped them, so they reached Razvan unmolested. "I brought him." Etele announced.

"Who is this child?" Inepta raised his eyebrows. However, with the question, he managed to surprise Etele in such a way that his mouth fell open. "Why are you looking at me like that now?" A faint pink tint appeared on Inepta's face.

"You seriously don't feel it? I felt something was off with him when I first saw him eventhough I didn't know what yet." Etele blinked at the living táltos.

"What should I feel?" The one-eyed hegin frowned.

"It's been a long time since we met Inepta, I see you've reached táltos five stars. Congratulations, you have surpassed Svihák." Razvan spoke with his arms folded in front of him, which made Inepta cover his mouth.

"General Csito?" The hegin asked.

"Yes, he is the reincarnation of the Tapló leader." Etele nodded. "And the leader of your prisoners." He noted casually.

"Forgive me, General, if I had known, I wouldn't have caught them, but the General hid his kí so well that I didn't recognize it immediately." Inepta explained with his head down.

"You can atone if you entertain us." Razvan announced. "But before that, I have an important question." As he said this, the one-eyed man raised his head. "What are you looking for, Inepta?"

"I... I just..." He started to blink and the pink shade on his face became darker and darker. "I was just looking for someone." He finally groaned, while looking at Etele.

"Here we go. He was looking for someone." Etele said triumphantly. "By the way, Inepta, you let your defenses down, it was easy to get you out of your shaman's circle, even though I thought I would have to pull you out of it." The ghost put his hands on his hips.

"I already told you that he had a crush on you. All you have to do is show up and he'll become useless." Razvan rolled his eyes.

"Of course." Etele snorted. "Inepta, tell him you're not into me!" Etele turned to the one-eyed man, but he didn't speak, he just shook his head as if someone had pushed a handful of snow into the neck of his dress.

"Oh, no. That's the only reason why he tried to kill your wife every chance he got." Razvan grimaced.

"Did you try to kill the Witch?" Etele asked in surprise from the other táltos, who swallowed a large amount and slowly nodded and narrowed his healthy eyes as he lowered his head. "In the name of the forefathers, Inepta, couldn't you have tried a little harder?! If you had succeeded, I might have even kissed you in joy!" Etele said, and with that he managed to make Inepta look up at him with wide eyes.

"Okay, that's enough of that!" Razvan interrupted. "Do you still consider me your general, Inepta?" He asked the question, and the táltos pulled himself out and now looked at the blind hegin with a normal shade of face and a serious look.

"Yes sir!" He said, almost without thinking.

"Then I have a task for you. You know the East better than anyone I know now living. I want to know what kind of peoples live in the lands from which we came to Madüjawr." Razvan said seriously.

"I will find out everything I can about them, sir." Inepta nodded.

"All right. Now go and let Rahul and the boys out and I'll go back and get the others to bring them here. I recommend that your shaman's circle let me in by the time I get back, Inepta." Razvan turned away from the pair, but looked back over his shoulder. "Oh, and I don't want my team to know anything about the relationship between the three of us. They don't need to know who I was, nor that I remember who I was. They don't need to know yet, am I right?" He asked, and the two táltoses immediately straightened, like in the good old days, and they spoke completely at the same time.

"Yes, General Csito!" Razvan just nodded once, then the team reunited after the centuries, split into two, so that its members could unite the previously split Athamanas.
