Chapter 113 - 113. Suk's tale

Emma, the examiner of Floating Air Barracks, had been suspicious of the Athamana team from the very first day. Something about the kids didn't sit well with her, something wouldn't let her rest. At first, she tried to push her thoughts away. The big plan was more important than a team of first-year students. And the big plan was the key to finally winning the respect of her father's race.

However, she soon realized that the team from the eastern border was more dangerous than she thought. The first-year students were much stronger than most of their students on assignment. And that meant a lot of trouble. According to the plan, the demon must rise on New Year's Day, when no strong person can be in the school. She had already gotten rid of most of the students, and her team was taking care of the principal and teachers. The only problem was that first-year students couldn't be sent on assignment.

Emma had no idea how she would manage to get rid of the young people in time. She was thinking about this today when she saw a strangely dressed figure at one of the school gates, who was talking to one of the guards about having to meet the principal. Emma finally decided to take the guest to the principal herself.

Of course, the messenger thanked her for her help, especially when the girl offered to accompany the stranger back after the meeting. The only thing the stranger didn't know was that Emma would easily hear what he was going to say to the principal.

"Give my message to your boss! No! I'm not talking! With anyone!" Half a minute after the principal spoke, the stranger was already standing outside next to Emma.

"Was your meeting successful?" The woman asked with a smile, and the stranger looked at Emma sullenly.

"Do I look like that?" The man asked.

"No." Emma shook her head.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the school, Suk literally burst into the Athamanas' quarters with a wide grin on his face. The group turned in his direction almost as one.

"Suk, you are here? We haven't seen you for two days." Citar spoke, and Teveli also looked up from his small notebook.

"Oh, why are you grinning like that?" He asked. "The last time you had a face like that was when your uncle tried to kill you." The boy noted, and Suk took out a blue pill, which he held out for the group to see clearly.

"I did it!" The man in yellow grinned.

"Okay Suk. Calm down and tell us what the Fene happened from the beginning." Razvan gave the order, and Suk sighed.

"So. After we talked to Uncle Tete and I was told that I wouldn't get his pot, I decided to take matters into my own hands and went to Professor Biaskoncy." He said it seriously.

"And what happened?" Benkó asked.

"Well, I opened the infirmary, because Cassandra said that he was usually there. There was a child lying on the table, with a vial full of dill next to his head. The teacher told the child that he would be lucky if he died from it." The boy pointed. "And I said that the poison would be more effective if he added some milk thistle to it. Then without thinking I did it, administered the poison, and then asked if I could have one of the pots. At that, he threw me out of the room."

"You know we didn't understand the half of that, right?" Citar remarked.

"But if he threw you out, where the Fene did you go for two days?" Achilleus scratched his head.

"I'll tell you right away." Suk snapped, his hands on his hips. "So, since I didn't get the pot, I went back the next day. By then I had already received a dose of poison in my neck before I was thrown out." He grinned. *Then I went back again, do you know why?" He asked.

"Because you needed the pot?" Citar guessed.

"No! Because I was dizzy from the poison!" Suk explained.

"Aren't you immune to all?" Rahul raised his eyebrows.

"That's exactly why I went back." The boy said confused. "It's not appropriate to leave something like this unanswered, so I wanted to give back what I got and tried to push this vial of poison into Professor Biaskoncy." He took out a vial of white liquid.

"What do you mean you tried?" Teveli blinked.

"Well, here's the vial, you can see I didn't succeed." He shrugged. "I was thrown out again, and then the next day when I opened the infirmary, the teacher was sitting in front of the door, looking at me seriously and asking." Here Suk cleared his throat. "Are you a Szotradoki?"

"What?" Benkó blinked.

"As it turns out, that's what the Zovárds are called here and it's the only word he knows in our language. I said yes, I'm a Zovárd, then I asked him how he knew about the tribe. He said he knew them from his supplier. Don't look at me like that, I have no idea what that means." He raised his hands defensively. "Then he said he wanted to teach me." Suk said.

"Why did he want to teach you separately?" Teveli grimaced.

"Should I know? I didn't ask." Suk shrugged. "So I said I was in. Then I told him I had a request, give me the pot and in return I would teach him our language. At this, Professor Biaskoncy asked why is it worth it to me when I can easily get a pot. He thinks I would have come out of this badly, with an old pot and him with a new ability." The boy waved.

"I agree with Professor Biaskoncy. What the hell was this exchange good for you?" Rahul scratched his head.

"As I told him." The Zovárd boy cleared his throat. "I want to see my uncle's face when a Westerner speaks our dialect." Suk grinned.

"You're crazy!" Citar shook his head.

"Maybe, but in return I got the pot and made the healing pill version of our secret potion and..." The boy grinned. "Much stronger than the original!" Suk enthused, but before he could say anything else the door burst open again and the aforementioned professor appeared inside.

"Who said you could leave?!" With that, the teacher grabbed Suk's collar, pulled him out of the room and threw him out the window, then turned back to the blinking group. "Excuse me, I wasn't even here." He said before closing the door.

" Shouldn't we..." Rahul began.

"No." Most of the people in the room shook their heads.

"I might as well go after him." Teveli noted.

Meanwhile, Suk hit the ground and tried to pull himself together by pressing his buttocks, then, resigned to the fact that he wouldn't escape from the teacher, he headed towards the infirmary, not knowing that someone was watching him from the corner. And not just someone, but several people. The suspicious observer was suddenly pulled back by someone.

"Who are you?" The observing figure tried to get rid of his attacker.

"Biaskoncy Vietryk." The teacher grinned, releasing the figure. "I know that you are watching Zovárd Suk on his uncle's orders." At these words, the observer's hands clenched into fists. "But you better know that if I finish the child, he will know your every move.' He said with an evil grin.

"Oh, really?" The suspicious figure asked back, but his eyes immediately widened when the tip of a sword was pressed against his throat.

"As I said, he will know his every move." The teacher with suspicious abilities chuckled.

"There are things that even you don't see." The other one noted.

"It's in vain that you try to trick me." Biaskoncy Vietryk shook his head. "I have already killed more than one of your kind." He announced, whereupon the other one raised his hands and stepped back, then turned and started, but still spoke back.

"I hope you discuss this with his uncle, I don't want to get in trouble with my boss because of you." He said seriously, and the teacher laughed.

"Don't worry, it'll be fine..." He paused here, then continued with a faint smile. "Because the child's father is in my hands."
