Chapter 151 - 151. Fish it out if you want!

"Kamu." The newly human ghost said his name, but when the other continued to stare, he tried something else. "Your best friend?"

"Don't take me for an idiot, Kamu died months ago." The right hand of the leader of the Mist stated coldly.

"Yeah, and if possible, I wouldn't repeat it again." Kamu rolled his eyes.

"Do you want me to believe this?" The man asked with a snort. "I wasn't born yesterday." He grumbled.

"What can I say to make you believe me?" Kamu asked desperately. "I beg you, Ajtony, you sleep with a pile of poison under your pillow every night, waiting to be told the recipe for your next big hit in your dreams." The leader of the Mist put his hands on his hips. "I don't think I can say anything that will convince you." He grimaced as the blade moved away from his throat.

"Kamu?" Ajtony's eyes widened. "But how is that possible? Your sister said that you and your brother died together." The assassin blinked.

"Well, because maybe we did." Kamu rolled his eyes again. "Then I possessed a corpse." Here, the hegin looked down at himself. "Although I have no idea what made him look like me." He noted while he held his chin with one hand, but finally just shrugged. "Whatever. The point is, I'm here again." He grinned.

"Wait..." Ajtony raised his left hand, then pointed at Kamu's figure with narrowed eyes. "This isn't your body?" He asked with doubtful features.

"Yes, as I said, I possessed a corpse." Kamu explained again, but when his right hand and best friend raised one eyebrow, he continued. "Don't look at me like that. You can fish me out of the lake if you don't believe me." He waved.

"Hmm... That's not a bad idea." Ajtony held his chin and grinned, while Kamu's eyes widened.

"No, no, no, no, no. Wait! You weren't taking it seriously, were you? Ajtony!" Kamu started to panic, but his friend just laughed.

"You offered it, brother. You should have thought about it first. You can't escape from this anymore." Ajtony flashed his teeth and put his hands on his hips.

"Fuck! You're really serious." Kamu ran his hand in front of his face.

"Oh, even more serious than serious." Ajtony hugged him. "Now, tell me, where is your corpse?" He chuckled, which made everyone nearby start running away. It was never a good sign when Ajtony started chuckling, that was when the crazy shaman came out of him and it was better not to get in his way if anyone wanted to live to see the next day.

To be honest, Kamu thought that Ajtony's stupid idea of actually fishing his dead body out of the water would be forgotten in a few days. After all, the poison mixer of the Mist always found something new to do, a new poison, a new weapon, and such. So when Ajtony stood before Kamu a week later with a team of Mist assassins at his side, the man didn't understand what was going on.

However, when he couldn't talk his friend out of the plan after several hours of persuasion, Kamu returned to the scene of his death with his team. It must be admitted that it was quite a bizarre sight for Kamu to see his own body, when it was pulled out of the water and put ashore. The man couldn't quite grasp that what he was seeing was himself, it seemed so impossible knowing that he was standing there breathing next to it.

"And what do you want to do with me now?" Kamu grimaced as his team placed the body in a crate.

"Did you know that the people living in the south are able to use oils and clothing to make the body last for centuries?" Ajtony asked with a grin, to which Kamu looked at him suspiciously, but shook his head in the negative. "That's right! So I'm going to experiment." The man said enthusiastically.

"You're completely crazy Ajtony." Kamu hit himself in the head.

"But still your best friend!" The other chirped happily.

"That's undeniable." The ghost-man finally smiled.

After this, the team returned to their headquarters, where Ajtony locked himself in a room with Kamu's body for weeks while the man himself was busy leading the Mist. Finally, after a long time, Ajtony boasted a human corpse wrapped from head to toe in rags, which he locked in a man-sized iron coffin for safety.

As for Kamu, he did not want to think about his body, so in the following years he avoided the room designated for his grave from afar and was more busy with the affairs of the organization. It was much safer to spy on Madüjawr as a dead person and the assassinations were easier, no one thought that a long-dead man was working behind the scenes.

Then, nine years after his death, the Mist, after a large meeting, decided it was time to move beyond the Karabatta, to be even safer from prying eyes. As a result, a multitude of negotiations and thousands of hours of organizing were started. And when they built their new headquarters far to the west under the sea, under the supervision of Ajtony, all important documents and objects were slowly transferred there.

Ten years, after Kamu's death, the time had come for the Mist to officially fulfill its last request, which had been sent to them at the Madüjawr headquarters. The request was addressed directly to the Mist leader, who was referred to as Mukei Vietryk. However, when Kamu took the piece of paper in his hand and read the name on it, his heart sank. However, the request must be fulfilled, no matter what it was.

Thus, Kamu ended up in the place where he saw his sister again after so many years. Keche, who could be called a mature woman by then, according to Kamu's information, had not spoken to her family for a year and had said goodbye to everyone as if she were preparing to die alone, somewhere in the Karabatta mountains. The girl was now sitting in the very clearing where Kamu had killed her husband, their adopted brother, Laik, so many years ago. Now he had to do the same with his sister.

"Hello Keche." Kamu stepped out of the shadows, but at his words the girl jumped to her feet with an angry look.

"Who are you? A ghost?" The girl asked angrily.

"I'm very much alive, sister." The man smiled sadly.

"That's impossible, my brother has been dead for years." The girl who had grown into a woman shook her head, then turned away from Kamu. "Go away, you evil ghost, and let me wait in peace for my killer." She said seriously.

"Your killer?" Kamu's eyes widened.

"Yes. They have to kill me today." Keche looked back at Kamu, then suddenly turned around and took the man's hand. "Oh... You're alive..." She blinked at the hand, then looked up into the eyes of her brother. "Oh, brother, so that's what makes you boys Teike." She chuckled. "You're dead, right?" Kamu didn't answer, just nodded. "If you meet Laik, tell him it wasn't his fault."

'Tell your father it wasn't his fault.' His mother's last words echoed in Kamu's mind, his sister looked exactly like their mother at that moment, tears were flowing from her eyes and she was smiling exactly the same. And Kamu started to cry for the first time since his death.

"I'm ready, brother. We'll meet in my next life." The girl smiled, and Kamu, with tear-filled eyes, hugged his sister to him with one hand and stabbed her with the other. He used Ajtony's blade, death was instantaneous, but Kamu still collapsed to the ground with his sister in his arms.

"I'm sorry, sister, I'm so sorry." He cried into his brother's hair as the sun sank below the horizon, covering the hidden corners of Madüjawr in darkness.
