With the news delivered, it was time to make plans, and pick up the pieces.
"Yamcha, I can't stand the sight of you right now. So you're going to actually make yourself useful for once. Go along with my employees to collect the remaining Dragon Balls, this isn't a request."
"Bulma, I'm going with him too. I might be the weakest of those who trained here, but I want to play a part in helping Bosa come back. I've known him since he was really young, and it's sad that he's gone…"
Chiaotzu's request was sincere, it also held a deeper meaning. First Chiaotzu's main strength wasn't fighting, so he might just get in the way of training. Second, he actually liked playing with Bosa. Third, he wanted to keep an eye on Yamcha. Fourth, was something that only Yamcha didn't understand.
"Thank you, Chiaotzu. I know that Bosa loved playing with you while I worked. And, this is now the final straw, Yamcha, you are to never again think of Bosa as your son. You can't even feel sad for what he went through, once you're done finding the dragon balls, go find yourself some hussie to fawn all over you."
This was something that everyone knew in their hearts, and minds. It was only a matter of time before Bulma finally made the declaration. She wasn't going to do this right now but, with the things Yamcha says, it's like he is just grasping at straws to avoid any issues, just like how the whole problem started in the first place. Yamcha hadn't grown at all.
Yamcha was about to speak up, and even tried. "I… I… I'm-"
Gohan spoke up curiously. "Mama Bulma, I thought daddy was big brother's daddy?"
Chosho was also curious. "I thought that Uncle Goku was big brother's daddy, too."
"From now on, there's no difference from that being the truth or not. Goku is Bosa's daddy."
Ushichi smiled a little for some reason. But the tears of loss were still unyieldingly unending. This was a reaction that didn't go unnoticed by Chichi, nor Bulma.
"Moving on, We're going to start training like we mean it tomorrow. If those guys coming our way, are on their way to get even with us for offing the guy… Then they can't be good guys, and they also deserve the same fate."
"It sure would be easier to fight back if we were also powerful aliens."
"We could… No, I don't like that idea. We have to find ways to increase our strength on our terms. complaining about unfair advantages won't help."
"Can you two slow your roll. I'm going to hack into their systems and steal all of their information. I'll use that to make the chamber much better. I figure, if they are conquerors, they have to have some sort of healing tech that they use to recover fast. I plan on making use of that knowledge should I find it."
With Bulma's words on the matter, cooling everyone down, everyone prepared for bed. Launch bathed the kids and put them to bed, staying with them all night. Occasionally the kids would wake up, reaching for their big brother only to start crying again. Hence the reason Launch was there, trying to comfort them back to sleep. This trick worked far better on Chosho than it did on Gohan, and Ushichi. But it did work.
Tien, Krillin, Piccolo, and Chiaotzu did meditation training since they couldn't sleep. Goku was with them for a while as well, until Chichi used telepathy to call for him.
Bulma was in the bath with Chichi, the two women kept each other company. Bulma had to be with someone right now, while she was seemingly normal, everyone who was old enough, and not named Yamcha, could see it very clearly. Chichi being the closest thing to a sister she had near her at the moment, took up the role of staying with Bulma.
Goku, being his still unbothered self, entered the bath after Chichi had called for him. "Hey Chichi, what do you need? Oh hey Bulma, how are you feeling?"
This was a time where Bulma really couldn't hold back any more. "I need you, Goku. I've needed you all along. But now, I need you more than ever."
"You know I'm not going to leave. I love you, and everyone here. I'll be there for you… I'm just wishing I had been a little faster…"
"Bulma, just tell him alright. He isn't going to get it if you just drop hints."
"Huh? What's going on you two?"
Bulma and Chichi drew close to Goku and hung off of each of his arms. "Goku, I love you. You've been a great father, and I can't hold back anymore. I was going to ask you this when Bosa and Ushichi returned from their adventure. But, I can't wait another year… Goku, I want another baby. So, will you let me join you, and Chichi in a night time spar?"
Chichi clearly had mixed feelings about this, but it wasn't something the two of them had only just brought up. It was something they had come to agree to over the course of many months. "Honestly, there was a time I'd never even thought of allowing this. However, Bosa always thought of me like a mother. And Bulma was just as much a mother to Ushichi and Gohan. It doesn't matter what way I look at it, I can't deny the effect Bulma has had… I also technically agreed to this the day you won the tournament."
"Night time spar, with you too Bulma? Sure why not? I love sparring!"
Goku wrapped his arms around Chichi and Bulma, giving them that signature Goku smile, and chuckle.
Later, the next morning, Bulma was already up and working on decoding the saiyan space pod. She had a glow to her that only one thing could possibly explain. The pep in her step was obvious. She still had her down moments, but they didn't last long. "I don't have time to worry anymore… Though I'd really like to hear my son's voice again. I miss him dearly."
"Hey, is this Bosa's mother? Please tell me I got the right number this time…"
"Huh? Who's that, and why do you know my son's name?"
"Ah, fantastic, I figured it would be a good idea to tell you, your son is like nothing I've ever seen before. He's truly impressive. I've started him on some light training, but you don't have to worry about him. You have my word, as King Kai."
