With a few more moments having passed, Raditz, now back to normal size, floated up, riddled with injuries. "Brat, you should have killed me when you had the chance."
Bosa peaked out from Gine's embrace. "Huh? Oh, I could have killed you right from the start. I just wanted to give you a taste of your own medicine before throwing you in the layer below this one. You're never getting out of there."
"YOU BRAT!" He charged forward in a rage.
Gine turned and gave Raditz a deadly glare, stopping him in his tracks as he gulped. "Raditz! You have some nerve to attack your niece and nephew, and even kill your nephew. You deserved what you got. How could you hurt your family?"
Raditz, still shocked by what he currently saw. "Mother, why are you holding that brat?"
"ANSWER ME!"
"Mother, I-"
"No, I can't believe you'd turn on your family like this. How could I consider someone like that, as my son?" She shook her head, shaking from her core. This wasn't what she wanted… Where did I go wrong? I just wanted to have a family.
"Mother, I-"
"Don't call me that! I'm not the mother of someone who'd hurt their own family. YOU KILLED YOUR BROTHER'S YOUNG BOY, BOSA!"
Raditz, having been a significantly more traditional Saiyan, towards the vindictive and evil side of the race, was completely bewildered. "But, I only… I…"
Gine couldn't stand to look at Raditz anymore, the scene of him killing Bosa, playing on repeat in her mind. Bosa noticed that she was having too much difficulty and was preparing to send Raditz to the prison layer of hell. But then…
"Mother, Kakarot is the super Saiyan! I saw it, he transformed into something I've never seen before."
Gine ignored him. And it was then that Bardock returned, and while a little awkward, he held Gine. "Gine, I-" He stopped, noticing that Raditz was confused. "Raditz, the form that Kakarot took when he dismantled you, was not the super Saiyan transformation. I know this, because I have the real form." He then looked at Bosa, who was now sandwiched in the middle of Bardock and Gine. "Go ahead and do what you need to do. That earring means you were sent here by the Kais request, right? Just get it over with. Raditz could use some time to reflect on his actions."
Bosa, sensing that this was difficult for his grandparents, decided to make it quick. "For the crime of assault, and attempted escape, you are sentenced to the prison layer… There you will serve time until you have earned the right to wander again, or your soul has been sufficiently punished and is ready for reincarnation. Considering how many people you mercilessly killed, you'll be down there for quite a long time."
A strange energy surrounded Raditz, binding him, preventing him from resisting in the slightest. The space started to ripple, sending Raditz away. However, just before he was about to leave…
"Brat, when I get out, I'm coming for you. All that fighting is going to give me a huge strength boost. And there's nothing you can do about it!"
Bosa raised a confused brow. "No, special abilities unique to any race are completely negated in the prison layer. How else would one learn how to reform?"
Raditz's face was filled with instant worry. "What?" Then he disappeared.
"Wow, that wasn't nearly as hard as Master told me it would be. Did he give me a hand with it? I'll have to thank him for it later."
King Kai sneezed. "Oh boy, is someone talking about me? I wonder how Bosa is doing, let me check in on him and see." … "Huh? Those are Saiyans, and they've got him in their grip! Oh no, come one Bosa, get out of- huh? Where did they go?"
Bosa ran up and tapped King Kai on the shoulder. "Master, I'm back, and I brought my grandma and grandpa. Do you think they can stay here with me?"
King Kai gulped, turning to see the two Saiyans. "Uh, as long as they don't cause any problems then fine-"
Gine rushed forward shaking King Kai's hand, with a smile. "Thank you for taking care of my grandbaby. Seriously, thank you sir."
"Huh, oh um, well, yes. No need to worry about that. It was mostly for selfish reasons. He simply had the talent. He's made quite a bit of progress on his own."
Bardock, crossing his arms, decided to question the Kai. "So, it was you who helped Bosa out back there. Thanks for that. Even though Raditz is my son, he deserved to get what he did. I never taught him to kill his own family. He must have picked it up from Freeza."
King Kai was now extremely confused. "Huh-" Does he think I helped Bosa out when Raditz was sent to the next layer? I'd better run with it. "Oh yeah, that, don't mention it. It was nothing. While not a common occurrence, it's still effortless for me."
Gine giggled, and with a spirited smile stood up proudly. "Well, this is a sort of family reunion. I find myself wanting to cook up a feast. King Kai sir, could you show me to the kitchen please?"
Bardock and Bosa, upon hearing the word, feast, reacted in a very similar way… It was clear that even if Bosa wasn't blood related, he was definitely raised to love food. Though most of his excitement was to taste his grandma's cooking for the first time ever!
King Kai relented and showed Gine to the kitchen. "Alright, it's over this way. The fridge restocks itself so you can just keep grabbing whatever you want."
"Really! I'm going to do everything I can then! Make sure you boys work up a big appetite!"
"Sure thing Gine, you always make good food."
"Really!? I… I can't wait. Grandpa, will you spar with me for a bit?"
Bardock smirked. "Sure thing, I'll get a glimpse of what my son can do through you, grandson. Now, let's go."
And so, Bardock began a training spar with Bosa. Bosa made sure to only use martial arts that his papa Goku used. At least at first, then went into his only unique style. All of that until Gine had finished cooking enough food to feed an army, maybe two.
"Sorry, I was just so excited and made a whole bunch of food! Let's party!"
