Superman in Marvel
Chapter 13: The Man the World Can't Ignore
The World Reacts to Superman
For the first time in history, humanity had witnessed something impossible.
A man who could fly.
A man who could stop bullets.
A man who could walk through fire and lift trucks like paper.
The footage of Superman's battle against the terrorists had gone viral. Every major news network was replaying it on a loop.
"Superman—Protector or Threat?"
"Who Is the Flying Man in New York?"
"God Among Us?"
The internet was exploding. Some called him a hero. Some feared what he could do. Others wondered if he was even human.
But one thing was clear—
Superman had changed the world forever.
Inside Stark Tower
Tony Stark sat in his penthouse, sipping a glass of whiskey as he watched the footage for the tenth time.
"J.A.R.V.I.S.," he muttered. "Tell me I'm not crazy."
"You are many things, sir," the AI replied, "but in this case, I can confirm—this is real."
Tony exhaled, rubbing his chin.
This wasn't a suit. It wasn't repulsors, thrusters, or some advanced exoskeleton.
This guy was the real deal.
And Tony Stark didn't like not knowing things.
"Alright, J," Tony leaned back. "Let's find out everything we can about this Superman."
"Already searching, sir."
SHIELD Moves In
At a secret SHIELD base, Nick Fury wasn't happy.
"Tell me you've got something," he growled, pacing in front of a screen displaying Ethan's footage.
Maria Hill sighed. "We've run every face-recognition scan we have. No match. No records. This guy doesn't exist."
Fury narrowed his eye. "That's impossible."
Hill shook her head. "Not as impossible as what he just did in Times Square."
A new voice entered the room. "He's not from Earth."
They turned.
Phil Coulson. Calm, professional, but deadly serious.
Fury crossed his arms. "What makes you so sure?"
Coulson tapped the screen. "We've been watching metahumans for years. We've seen genetic mutations, super-soldiers, even some enhanced tech-users. But this?" He pointed at the footage of Superman lifting a truck with one hand. "This isn't science. This is something else."
Fury exhaled. "Alright. I want this guy on our radar. Keep an eye on him. See if he's friend or foe."
"And if he's a threat?" Hill asked.
Fury's expression darkened. "Then we pray to whatever god is listening that we never have to fight him."
Ethan's Reflection
High above the city, Ethan sat atop a skyscraper, watching the world below.
The wind ruffled his cape as he listened to the countless voices, the endless discussions about him.
He had done it.
He had revealed himself.
There was no going back now.
And for the first time, he wondered—
Had he done the right thing?
Then, a scream.
A car accident.
Ethan moved without hesitation.
Because no matter what the world thought of him, one thing was certain—
Superman had a job to do.
