Cassidy
I should have left with Mara.
I should have run.
But I didn't.
And now, it was just me and him.
"Something wrong, Cassidy?" Kieran asked smoothly, stepping closer.
My throat tightened. "Why would something be wrong?"
"You look nervous."
"I'm not."
I was lying.
And he knew it.
Kieran tilted his head slightly, his dark eyes assessing me, thinking, calculating. Something he does alot which I'm guessing is from his wolf side, like he was trying to figure me out, trying to understand my emotions.
"You're awfully quiet all of a sudden," he mused. "What happened to all that talking?"
I clenched my jaw. "You're imagining things."
"Am I?"
He took another slow step forward.
I refused to move back.
I couldn't move.
He smirked slightly, as if reading my thoughts. "If you were so interested in that actor, maybe I can introduce you to him. What's his name?"
I scowled. "I'm not interested in him."
"No?"
I hated how calm he sounded.
Like he had already won.
