"What are you all whispering about?"
Kei turned and set his eyes on the Dark Council.
"I told you before, didn't I? I sent the mutt to deliver a message."
"Leave Huaxia quietly. Anyone who stays to stir trouble... dies."
"Whimper!"
"I did! Boss, I delivered the message! They didn't listen! I wanted to go home and never come out again, but they didn't listen to me!"
Hamm, the mighty hellhound, was the first to surrender. With his tail tucked and a flattering expression, he rolled over and sold out his teammates instantly.
"Boss, I'm just a kid, really! I haven't killed anyone! Never eaten anyone either!"
"Is that so?"
"Yeah! I only eat top-grade steak. I don't eat anything else!"
For the first time in his life, Hamm felt that being a picky eater had actually saved him. He wasn't like those irredeemable monsters—he was just a talking dog. No murders, no eating people. Just premium beef.
"Hm. You've got less fight in you than a poodle. No blood energy either. But it doesn't matter. You were with them. That's enough."
"Time to die with the rest."
Kei raised his hand, ready to wipe them all out.
"I beg you, Demon King-sama, how about a deal? Spare us and I'll offer a divine artifact!"
The vampire queen spoke up. She could feel the suffocating threat of death looming over her. She had no choice but to surrender.
"I don't need it."
Kei didn't care for artifacts. His sword alone was the strongest—he needed no trinkets.
"It's a true divine artifact! One of a kind!"
"Still don't need it."
Without hesitation, Kei swung his sword. The vampire queen was obliterated—no soul, no revival.
The rest stared at her headless corpse, frozen with terror. None dared to resist.
If they could turn back time, the moment they heard Kei's name, they would've fled to the darkest corner of the world and never come out.
But it was too late.
"Anyone else want to challenge me?"
Kei looked around. The Dark Council members exchanged looks—some tried to stand, but fear crushed the thought before it could form.
"No one?"
Kei shook his head and casually cleaved another apart.
"I admire Huaxia martial artists. That courage—facing hopeless odds and still swinging their fists. It's stupid, but…"
"I once met three old men like that. They knew they'd lose. But they still challenged me."
"Even as my technique forced them to their knees, they didn't flinch. Their eyes… burned with fighting spirit."
At that point, all of the Dark Council had been erased.
All except one trembling hellhound.
"Whimper!"
Hamm tried to maintain a shred of dignity as a hellhound, raising his head… but his trembling limbs betrayed him.
"Be a good dog. If I see you causing trouble again, I'll put you down."
As Kei walked away, Hamm collapsed to the ground, overwhelmed with relief. Tears of survival streamed down his snout.
"Whimper… I wanna go home… to a place with blue skies and white clouds… to a nice big family… I just wanna be a pet."
"This killing stuff… isn't for me! I'm done! Retired! I quit the underworld!"
Thus began Hamm's retirement arc. No longer a hellhound—just a house dog basking in the sun, eating steak, and living peacefully.
Meanwhile, Fire Swallow had already reported everything to HQ.
"He killed it in one strike?"
"Yes! A single hit. Just like a game boss getting one-tapped!"
"That monster we struggled to beat? That took nukes and still wouldn't die? You're telling me some guy just one-shot it?!"
"Fire Swallow, blink twice if you're under mind control."
"Dammit, I'm not being controlled! I'm telling the truth! I'll send a photo—"
He snapped a pic of Kei and sent it… only to see it turn into a static snowflake image.
"Huh? My brand-new phone just broke?!"
He tried several times, but every photo of Kei came out distorted.
"I can't take a picture. They all turn to static!"
"Cough. That's his aura. My little junior's presence is so strong, it warps electronics."
"Even your phone can't handle it."
Uncle Tu explained calmly.
"Such a powerful aura!"
Fire Swallow was in awe. Then he resumed his call:
"Anyway, that's the situation. You guys better send a cleanup team ASAP."
Back at Military HQ—
Every time they tried to use satellites to observe, their view was blocked by crimson mist. It had been the same with the Corpse King before.
"Commander, based on voice analysis, Fire Swallow is likely 80% clear-headed, 15% potentially controlled, and 5% in a half-infected state…"
So basically—completely useless analysis.
"Looks like it's over," someone muttered.
"Just how powerful is this Kei?! One strike and the Corpse King was gone. Even the EU and Eastern forces were terrified to move!"
Commander Lin thought of Azure Dragon… could he even match Kei?
No. If Kei was already at god-tier years ago, he'd likely surpassed even that by now.
Azure Dragon needed the Nine Dragons Blessing just to fight at that level—and even then, maybe he'd still lose.
"There's no comparison."
"Inform the old general. Tell him to begin the final sweep of H City."
As the Huaxia military went into full action, and as the news reached even the deepest lines, the surviving Dark Council members sensed their leader's death.
"I told her not to mess with the Demon King! Did she listen? No! Now look!"
"Shut up and RUN!"
"Shame, though. That Laura chick was fine…"
"You're insane. We're about to die and you're still thinking with your—"
"Just saying!"
They bolted back to Europe, buried themselves underground, and didn't dare come out for decades. Not even once.
But if Kei ever wanted to find them?
They wouldn't need to come out—he'd just wipe them out anyway.
The Dark Council vanished. So did the EU agents who had been stirring up trouble.
Eastern forces got intel too. Learning about a super-god-tier warrior in Huaxia, they immediately backed down.
"Ancestor, Fūma Tarō and his elite shinobi are dead. And word is… Huaxia has a super-god-tier expert!"
A kneeling ninja reported to Xu Fu.
"What about Ryuo?"
"Dead. One sword strike."
"My immortality medicine… it's ruined!!"
Xu Fu, enraged, devoured the ninja in one gulp to vent his rage—then composed himself.
"Huaxia's martial arts may have declined… but their legacy spans millennia. Too many legends were born there."
"…Fine. Pull everyone back. Lay low."
As they withdrew, their supposed "allies" from India and Korea were left stranded and dumbfounded—
Weren't we supposed to advance together?!
With Huaxia's forces freed up, they retaliated. Hard.
What those countries once enjoyed—now came back tenfold.
Just like that, Kei's appearance reversed the entire tide of war.
Commander Lin, overwhelmed by wave after wave of good news, almost collapsed from joy.
At that moment, he was on a private call with the old general.
"He really is a monster. The moment he showed up, everything changed. The world finally knows fear again."
"I told you—he's a born king. Victory was guaranteed the moment he arrived."
"The last Grandmaster of Huaxia… not just a title!"
On the battlefield, the old general was personally leading troops into the infected zone.
His dream? To meet the legendary Demon King in person and get his autograph.
Yep. Certified Kei-fan.
Meanwhile, on a plane heading to Tibet—
Grandmaster Buxiu and Nima got the news.
"Sigh… if I were ten years younger, I'd have gone back to celebrate."
"But I'm 200 now… More noodles, please."
He slurped an entire bowl in one go and ordered another. He needed more food to convert into energy.
"Master, don't act up. We can just call Kei when we get back."
Nima gave him a skeptical look. His eyes sparkled with mischief despite his claims of retirement.
"Relax. I'm not dumb. I won't cause trouble."
He gave up on turning the plane around—but his curiosity burned.
How strong was Kei now?
Had he already surpassed the god-tier into something even greater?
While everyone else stirred…
Kei, in H City, was calm as ever.
With the Corpse King handled, it was time to move on—to the Gate of Hell.
"You're leaving already?"
Uncle Tu asked.
"You just saved the whole country. Surely the government will want to reward you—"
"I don't care about that. Tell the others I said hi."
And with that, Kei left.
"He's really gone? He doesn't want money, glory, or power?"
"Truly a man of honor!"
Fire Swallow officially converted to Kei-fan status.
"No, it's not about honor. He genuinely doesn't care. He's always been like this.
Never once entered a martial arts tournament."
"He only cares about one thing—getting stronger. Well, maybe food… and us."
Uncle Tu answered, then received a call from his daughter.
"Dad, we're safe now! Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. Guess who I saw—your Fifth Uncle."
"Wait, Kei?! He's in H City?! I heard the monster there was unstoppable!"
"Yeah, about that… he took care of it with a single strike."
"No way! Aren't you just cannon fodder compared to him?! You trying to die?!"
"Don't remind me… He beat it without using a real move. Just a normal attack.
I'm already traumatized. Don't kick me while I'm down…"
"Oh, so he one-shot it. Again."
"Exactly. I used to think he was the strongest. Then I realized—he IS the strongest."
"I stopped trying after that. My inner strength actually improved once I gave up!"
Thus came the legendary philosophy of lying flat—Kei style.
Why compete, when the gap was unbridgeable?
Elsewhere, a helicopter arrived, carrying an old general with white hair.
"Which one of you is Kei?! I've heard your legend—please, an autograph!"
He jumped off the helicopter, looked around… but only found Uncle Tu and the younger troops.
"Where's the Grandmaster?"
"He already left. No interest in fame or reward. He just came, did what needed to be done… and went on his way."
"Amazing. Truly the Grandmaster."
Old and young stood side by side, identical expressions on their faces—every other sentence now started with 'Kei.'
"You're quite something, kid."
"Nah, I'm nothing. But that man… that man's image will never leave my heart."
Uncle Tu shook his head. Time to go home to his daughter.
