Chapter 23: Is This What a Top Tier ADC's Opportunity Seizing Ability Looks Like?

Wuhun City, Worship Mountain, Guang Ling's closed door training site.

It wasn't until the three figures had completely disappeared from view that the strange tension in the air finally dissipated.

The Lion Douluo scratched his head and was the first to speak. "Old Five, does breaking through also change your personality? You, Guang Ling, actually made a deal with Bibi Dong? Why does this feel like a dream? It's still nighttime I haven't even gone to bed yet."

Guang Ling glanced at him with a look of pure disdain and clicked his tongue. "You don't know shit. You'll understand in time. Or… do you want my insights too? I can write a copy just for you. But if you agree, you won't be allowed to listen when I share it with everyone else. How about it? Deal?"

The Lion Douluo might not have known what Guang Ling was planning, but he wasn't an idiot. Just by looking at Guang Ling's expression, he could tell that this guy was definitely setting him up. Plus, Guang Ling's current strength already surpassed his own. Without hesitation, he snorted coldly, turned his head, and refused to continue the conversation.

Golden Crocodile Douluo wasn't sure what Guang Ling was scheming either, but the current situation wasn't too bad. He gave Guang Ling a look, left behind a single sentence "Don't stir up any big trouble" and then walked away.

The others, though eager to listen to Guang Ling's "lecture," glanced at the wrecked house, then at the two little ones present. Seeing that Golden Crocodile had already left, they knew tonight was a lost cause. After bidding their farewells, they too departed.

Soon, only the usual four remained.

Guang Ling turned to look at his now destroyed house, then at Qing Luan. He originally wanted to head over to Qing Luan's place to celebrate with some drinks, but then he remembered he still had to fabricate some nonsense for tomorrow's deal. And since he'd probably have to scheme with his apprentice anyway, he figured he might as well just go straight to Han Li's place. It was only a few steps away, after all.

So, he looked at Qing Luan. "Let's go to Han Li's place. You should come too. You might pick up a thing or two."

Qing Luan had already predicted this and chuckled. "Alright. I'll have the food and drinks sent over. You go ahead and take them first."

"Great. Hurry up."

Without waiting for a response, Guang Ling laughed and scooped up the two kids, quickly heading toward Han Li's residence.

Qing Luan swallowed the rest of his words and sighed. Forget it. Guang Ling has always been like this.

A gust of wind passed, and Han Li and Xiu'er found themselves placed down in the courtyard. They had barely steadied themselves when Guang Ling's voice rang out.

"How's your training going? You two didn't slack off while I was in seclusion, did you?"

Recalling his own childhood training habits, Guang Ling eyed them suspiciously only to see Han Li looking at him like he was an idiot.

That's when Guang Ling actually took a good look at the two little ones.

First, he examined Xiu'er good, she had clearly acquired her first spirit ring. Then, he turned his gaze to his own disciple and noticed his aura was still a bit unstable, likely due to a recent breakthrough.

"Rank 14?" Guang Ling asked uncertainly. He hadn't dealt with new spirit masters in ages, and the low spirit fluctuations made it hard for him to tell.

"I, Han Li, a genius, Rank 15. I broke through one minute before you did."

Rank 15 already? Guang Ling almost couldn't believe his ears. He had a general idea of how much time had passed it had only been a little over three months, and this kid had jumped three whole levels?

Sure, early stage spirit masters could level up quickly, and after absorbing his external spirit bone, Han Li had already been close to Rank 13. But this speed was still absurd. It completely overturned Guang Ling's understanding.

"This is all thanks to the training schedule you set for me, Master. My sleeping hours were scheduled down to the minute," Han Li said in a tone laced with exhaustion.

"Ah… so you actually followed that training plan for the full three months…" Guang Ling muttered in realization.

"Hmm? Something wrong with that?" Han Li immediately caught the inconsistency in his master's words and locked eyes with him.

"Well, it's not wrong per se… I just didn't expect you to stick with it for three whole months. I forgot to remind you and I also forgot to inform the others that it was only meant to be a two week intensive training plan. After that, you were supposed to cut it in half. Since you're still growing, overtraining for too long isn't ideal." Guang Ling scratched his head, looking slightly guilty.

"Oh." Han Li's expression remained blank. So that explains why I thought this workload seemed excessive for six year olds. Turns out it was just a mistake.

"Hey, don't be mad. You made it through, didn't you? And you hit Rank 15 proves my training plan worked, doesn't it?" Guang Ling grinned, squatting down to ruffle Han Li's hair.

"Yeah, it worked great. My body ached even in my sleep," Han Li deadpanned.

Although he was complaining, he wasn't actually angry. The results were undeniable, after all. His only real issue was mental fatigue three months of mechanical style training had worn him down. He had pushed through with the sheer willpower of 'If I can't even handle this, I'd be as worthless as Yu Xiaogang.' But now that he knew it was just his teacher's mistake, he was relieved to be getting a break.

Guang Ling was beyond satisfied. As long as this kid doesn't slack off, everything else is secondary.

Just then, Qing Luan arrived with a group of servants carrying trays of food and wine.

"Perfect timing! Double celebration! Time to drink!" Guang Ling laughed heartily.

"Triple celebration, actually. We're about to extort a fortune tomorrow," Han Li reminded him.

"Haha! You're right triple celebration! Even more reason to party!"

Guang Ling was stunned for a moment before breaking into an even bigger grin.

After a lively gathering, Xiu'er left early to continue her training. Han Li is already Rank 15 I can't afford to fall too far behind!

The festivities continued late into the night. Han Li mostly listened in silence, occasionally pouring drinks. Even so, he gained a wealth of knowledge from the conversations between the two Titled Douluo.

Then, out of nowhere, Guang Ling suddenly shifted the topic to him.

"By the way, Han Li, I get why you wanted money and medicinal herbs from that Chrysanthemum freak. But why did you specifically ask for all his botanical records? Do you actually have an interest in that stuff?" Guang Ling asked curiously.

Of course, it was bound to come up eventually. Han Li sighed internally.

Is this what top tier ADCs call opportunity seizing ability? Not only are they good at finding weaknesses, but they also have insane talent for pinpointing key details.

Despite the infamous reputation of this world as "Romance Continent," Han Li had realized early on that almost no one here was actually stupid. Due to the world's culture, many of them were a bit naïve about certain things, but the top powerhouses? They were incredibly sharp.

If they truly failed to notice everything, that would be suspicious.

Han Li smiled and answered honestly, "Not hiding anything, Master. I really do have an interest in this. Not just in plants, but also in medicine. I plan to study it in my free time."
