Speed Villain
Chapter 11: Awakening Compound-X
---
The Calm Before the Storm
The battlefield was silent. The Zypheron fleet was destroyed, their mothership nothing but wreckage sinking into the ocean.
Kael-X stood on a crumbling rooftop, staring into the horizon. His jacket was torn, his body still smoking from the massive energy blasts he had tanked.
For the first time in a while, he felt it.
> Exhaustion.
Not physical exhaustion—his body could recover from almost anything. But something deeper.
> They almost had me…
That thought annoyed him.
He had spent his life outrunning and overpowering anything in his way. But this battle had forced him to break past his limits just to survive.
And he knew something else.
> The Zypherons weren't the worst thing out there.
He could feel it. Something else was watching.
---
The Incoming Threat
High above, in the cold void of space, a figure sat inside a dark warship, watching Kael-X's victory unfold.
This wasn't a Zypheron.
It was something far worse.
Its body was humanoid, but its veins glowed with a pulsing, unnatural energy.
A voice crackled through the shadows of the ship.
> "It's confirmed. He survived the Null Sphere."
The seated figure smirked.
> "Of course, he did. But did you really think that was enough?"
A pause.
> "Then we proceed?"
The smirk widened into something hungry.
> "Yes. It's time for him to awaken."
---
The Hidden Power Within
Back on Earth, Kael-X clenched his fists, staring at his own hands.
Something was wrong with his body.
He could still move faster than anyone else, but something felt off.
Like he was on the edge of something bigger.
Like his body wasn't at full power yet.
Suddenly, he felt a burning sensation in his chest.
Then—
BOOM.
His entire body lit up with blue energy.
His heart raced violently, faster than ever before.
His vision blurred—the world around him became a haze of distorted time.
And deep inside his mind, something unlocked.
> Compound-X has been activated.
---
The Origin of Compound-X
Memories flooded Kael-X's mind. Memories he didn't know he had.
A lab. Scientists. Pain.
He saw himself—younger, weaker—strapped to a machine, tubes running through his veins.
An alien voice echoed in his mind.
> "Project Compound-X… the ultimate evolution of speed."
It was a biochemical substance, an unstable force of energy designed to turn him into the fastest being in the universe.
But they had feared it.
> "If he ever unlocks its full potential, he will no longer be controllable."
So they locked it away inside him.
Until now.
---
The First Transformation
Kael-X fell to his knees, his body shaking violently.
His veins glowed blue, his heartbeat roared like a thunderstorm.
Then—
Everything slowed down.
The air became thick, almost frozen.
Raindrops hung in the air like tiny glass beads, unmoving.
And Kael-X?
He was faster than ever before.
> This… this is beyond anything I've ever felt…
Then a voice cut through the silence.
> "You finally woke up."
Kael-X's head snapped up.
A figure stood before him, completely unaffected by the frozen world around them.
Tall. Cloaked in dark armor. Eyes burning with violet energy.
And when they moved—
Kael-X saw it.
> They were fast.
Faster than anything he had ever seen before.
---
The First True Rival
"Who are you?" Kael-X demanded, rising to his feet.
The figure smirked.
> "Someone who has been waiting for you to wake up."
They took a single step forward—and vanished.
Kael-X barely had time to react before—
> BOOM.
A punch slammed into his chest, sending him flying backward at hypersonic speeds.
He crashed through five buildings before skidding to a stop.
He looked up, shock on his face.
That had never happened before.
> No one… has ever been fast enough to hit me first.
The figure slowly approached, hands in their pockets.
> "Welcome to the real race, Speed Villain."
> "Let's see if you can keep up."
---
A Battle at the Edge of Time
Kael-X grinned.
The pain was still there, but something inside him was excited.
For the first time in his life—
> He had a real fight on his hands.
And then—
The world exploded into motion.
They both vanished, clashing at speeds no one else could even perceive.
Buildings shattered from the shockwaves of their movements.
The air itself caught fire as they exchanged hundreds of attacks per second.
For the first time ever—
Kael-X wasn't sure if he was the fastest anymore.
And he loved it.
---
To Be Continued…
Kael-X has unlocked Compound-X, but he's still learning to control it.
Meanwhile, his first true rival has appeared, someone who might be just as fast—or even faster.
Who is this mysterious speedster?
And what do they really want?
One thing is certain:
> The race has only just begun.
