Chapter 26 - chapter 26

With a jolt and a hiss of vapor, they emerged from the dense white stream—and there it was.they finally got pass the gate and reached skypia

"There's an island!" Luffy shouted, leaning so far over the railing he nearly fell. "It's real—Sky Island!"

A sea of white sprawled before them like a dream. An island rested on the clouds, its shores rippling like gentle pillows under a bright, cloudless sky.

They disembarked Luffy was already jumped, crouched and wide-eyed.

"Woah… it's fluffy!" he exclaimed. "The whole ground is cloud!"

Nami stepped off the ship. Her foot sank softly into the island's surface. "It's warm," she said with quiet wonder. "Almost like sand heated by the sun… but it's all cloud."

"This sensation is unreal," Robin said, tilting her head as she studied the terrain.

Chopper leapt off the side and started rolling across the ground like a little snowball. "It's so soft! I wanna live here forever!"

Blizz stepped down next, the cool cloud sinking slightly under his boots. He paused, then smirked and called out:

"Hey Usopp, look—I can walk on clouds too."

Usopp, who was on all fours poking at the cloud with a long stick, shrieked and stumbled backward. "Okay, this is not funny anymore! This thing is clearly witchcraft!"

The rest of the crew burst out laughing.

Luffy flopped onto the cloud face-first, arms spread. "This place is amazing! It's like sleeping on cotton candy!"

Even Zoro cracked a grin. "This place might be made of clouds, but your brain's made of fog."

Robin, standing nearby, gave Blizz a sideways glance. "So how exactly does your Devil Fruit work?" she asked, curious as ever. "You seem to manipulate elements… and you can move easily on any surface."

"He's a ninja!" Chopper blurted with stars in his eyes.

Blizz scratched the back of his head, a little awkwardly. "Well… kind of."

"Oh a ninja that's interesting so can you vanish into smoke and summon giant toads."said Robin

Blizz scratched the back of his head. "Well… I mean, the smoke thing, yeah. That part's legit. But giant toads? Not yet. I'm still working on the upgrades."

Sanji lit a cigarette and smiled. "Ain't had this kind of sunlight in days. Almost forgot what blue skies felt like."

"Yeah… and there's no way the Marines can follow us up here," Zoro said, finally stepping onto the cloud. "For once, we can actually relax."

"Beach party!!" Luffy shouted,

Nami closed her eyes, letting the warmth hit her face. "It's been so long since we had a vacation anywhere."

Blizz leaned back on the soft cloud, the warmth of the sky island's sun soaking into his skin. He stretched his arms above his head and let out a satisfied sigh. "This place… it's like walking through a dream. I'm starting to think we might actually be in heaven."

Sanji, flipping fish on the grill with a relaxed grin, glanced over. "Well, if this is heaven, I can't complain. Good food, good air, and no one trying to kill us. For once, it's peaceful."

Luffy, sitting nearby, grabbed a piece of the sky-fish and tossed it in his mouth, savoring the flavor. "Yeah, I could get used to this! More fish, Sanji!"

Blizz chuckled lightly, shaking his head. "Maybe you could, Luffy. But I doubt the fish would be too happy about it."

Usopp, already deep into his usual antics, was building a ridiculous fortress made of sand—or rather, cloud. His eyes sparkled with mischief as he stacked cloud after cloud. "You think we can build a fortress here? I'm gonna make this the best cloud fort in the sky."

Blizz leaned forward, watching Usopp's creation with an amused smile. "What's the plan if the sky pirates attack? Are you going to launch a cannon made of clouds at them?"

Usopp paused for a moment, looking dead serious. "You'll see when it's done! It's got hidden traps. They'll never get past it."

Nami, sitting under a tree and reading, shot a quick glance at Blizz. "Don't encourage him."

Blizz laughed softly, leaning back again. "Someone has to."

Zoro, who had been lazily lying under a shady spot, muttered without opening his eyes. "Just don't ask me to help defend it. I'll pass."

Blizz smiled, but there was a touch of seriousness in his voice. "But seriously, guys… this is exactly what we needed. We've been through so much, and now we get to just… be."

Luffy looked up at the sky, finally letting out a breath he didn't realize he'd been holding. "Yeah. It feels like we can finally breathe."

Blizz grinned, giving Luffy a playful nudge. "Couldn't have said it better myself. The clouds are soft… but don't get used to it too much. The sky's got its own set of problems."

Sanji, turning his attention away from the grill, raised an eyebrow. "Problems? You mean… more stuff to punch?"

Blizz gave a mischievous grin. "Probably. But let's enjoy this for now. We've earned it."

For a moment, the crew just sat there, basking in the tranquility of the sky island. No one spoke, each of them content in their own way. They had come a long way, and for now, there was nothing but the soft sounds of the breeze and the peaceful hum of the clouds beneath their feet.

Then—

A sound cut through the breeze. Soft. Melodic.

They turned to see a figure in white robes standing beneath a spiral cloud tree. She held a harp in her hands, her fingers gently dancing across its strings. Her wings shimmered faintly, catching the light.

"Wait… is that an angel?" Sanji said, awestruck.

"She's got wings," Usopp whispered. "She's literally glowing."

The girl looked up with calm, curious eyes. A small round animal bounced beside her.

"Are you from the Blue Sea?" she asked, her voice as light as the air itself. "Come. Sue and I welcome you."

Blizz stepped forward this time. "You live here?"

The girl nodded. "This is skypiea's Angel Beach. Are you guys from the blue sea."

"We flew up from the bottom!" Luffy said proudly, puffing out his chest.

"Please, ask me anything," she offered.

Before they could, the clouds near the water stirred.

Hey!" Sanji pointed toward the shoreline. "Something's coming from the sea!"

A massive splash burst through the clouds like a geyser, followed by a thud as something—or someone—crashed straight into a nearby tree, scattering birds into the air.

Blizz raised an eyebrow. "Well… that was a dramatic entrance."

A girl ran toward the scene, waving her hands frantically. "Sorry about that—he's my father!"

The older man stumbled out from the tangle of branches, brushing leaves from his white robes. He looked over at the group, slightly dazed but composed.

"Are they your friends, Conis?"

"Yes, I just met them, Father. They're from the Blue Sea."

The man's expression changed instantly to one of surprise and curiosity. "Really? That explains the clothes—and the expressions. You must be quite confused. This is the White Sea."

He gave a respectful bow. "Forgive me for not introducing myself properly. My name is Pagaya. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Blizz stepped forward. "No need to apologize. Crashing into a tree's a pretty solid way to break the ice."

Pagaya chuckled, then motioned to the group. "You've come a long way. Please, come to our home. I'll treat you to some food."

Luffy's eyes lit up like lanterns. "Really?! Let's go, let's go!"

"Sky Island cuisine!" Sanji's eyes gleamed as he stepped forward. "Please, let me help with the cooking. I'd love to see what ingredients you have up here."

Pagaya smiled warmly. "We'd be honored to have a Blue Sea cook in our kitchen."

"Sky Island food…" Luffy said, practically drooling. "I hope it's huge."

Usopp smirked. "I hope it's edible."

Blizz walked a few steps behind, glancing suspiciously at a puffball-shaped bird flying overhead. "Hey, is the food gonna be like that octopus earlier? Some balloon that explodes when we eat it?"

Usopp paled immediately. "Don't even joke about that!"

Pagaya laughed. "No exploding octopus today, I promise."

"You better not jinx it," muttered Zoro, hands tucked behind his head.

Robin chuckled softly. "Well, this will certainly be an experience."

As the group began heading toward Pagaya's home, a sleek board-like vehicle caught Luffy's eye—the Waver, resting casually against a cloud tree.

"Oooh, what's this?" Luffy grinned, already climbing on.

"Wait, Luffy, don't touch that—!" Conis started, but it was too late.

Luffy slapped the accelerator out of pure curiosity. The Waver roared to life and blasted forward across the sea of clouds, leaving a shocked silence behind him.

"I CAN'T STOP!" he screamed, waving his arms wildly as the Waver bounced and flipped across the soft white waves.

"It flipped!" Usopp yelled.

"Big flips, too," Zoro added with a deadpan stare.

"I wonder what happens to Devil Fruit users in this sea…" Sanji mused, watching Luffy skip like a rock across the surface.

"This place is different. Maybe he'll float," Zoro guessed, though not sounding confident.

A distant gurgle came from the horizon, followed by silence.

"He sank," Sanji sighed.

"No good, huh?"

Usopp turned to Blizz. "Hey, shouldn't you be rescuing him by now? You can walk on water, right?"

Blizz held up his hands. "No can do—he's already under."

Before anyone else could move, Zoro was already gone, diving headfirst into the clouds.

Moments later, he resurfaced with a sputtering Luffy in tow.

"That was close," Zoro muttered. "He almost sank all the way to the bottom."

"It's all because of your stupid babbling," Sanji snapped.

"Why did you jump down too?!" Usopp shouted as he pointed at Chopper, who had tried to help but was also drowning.

"I panicked!" Chopper cried, coughing up cloud-water.

While the boys argued, Nami casually stepped onto the Waver. With graceful control, she zipped across the clouds like she'd been riding it for years.

"Oh come on," nami grumbled.

"Unbelievable," Sanji muttered.

And with the chaos behind them, the crew finally began the climb up the long, winding stairs toward the heart of Skypiea—ready to enjoy a well-earned meal at Pagaya's home.

Sky Island cuisine awaited.

The long cloud-table was full—bowls clinking, laughter echoing through the floating house. Plates were piled high with strange yet delicious foods—jellyfish rice, puffed fish skins, and something that looked like popcorn but squeaked when you bit into it.

"This is insanely good," Luffy said through a mouthful of cloud crab.

"You're gonna choke," Zoro muttered, sipping calmly from a floating shell-cup.

Blizz nudged a dial set into the side of the table, watching it emit a warm gust of air. "These dials are everywhere, huh?"

"They're amazing," Robin said, observing one that cooled her drink with a gentle breeze. "So much functionality in something so small."

"They've got all kinds," Pagaya explained, refilling Sanji's bowl. "Heat dials, breath dials, even impact dials. They power most of our life here."

Sanji stepped away from the table and walked onto the balcony. The sky was streaked with golds and pinks, soft clouds drifting lazily. He glanced around, then frowned.

"Hey… where did Nami-san go?" he called back. "I can't see her anymore."

"She probably went out to explore," Zoro said casually, leaning back. "Just forget about her."

"No, it's fine," Conis said, placing a hand on her father's shoulder. "But… there is something I should mention."

Everyone turned to her.

"In Skypiea, there is one place no one should ever enter. It's very close to this island… and it's easy to reach with a Waver."

"The place no one should ever enter?" Luffy asked, now completely focused, his chopsticks frozen midair.

"Yes," Conis said quietly. "It's the Holy Land. That's where… God lives."

"It's called the Upper Yard."

A silence fell over the table. Even the dials hummed lower.

Blizz didn't speak. He just looked out toward the thick, towering cloud forest in the distance, a faint grin pulling at the corner of his mouth.

'Enel, the so-called god, huh?' he thought to himself. 'We'll be taking care of him very soon… hehe.'

The others were too wrapped up in Conis's warning to notice the quiet confidence in his eyes. He wasn't shaken—not even a little. To Blizz, this "god" was just another name on the list.

"God, huh?" Zoro muttered, unimpressed, as he leaned back lazily.

Luffy tapped his finger against the table thoughtfully, then broke into a wide grin. "Oh really? A place that nobody's supposed to enter?" His eyes gleamed with excitement. "I see… a place nobody may enter…" he said again, laughing as if it were the most wonderful thing he'd ever heard.

Usopp paled. 'He'll go for sure,' he whispered in horror.

Robin chuckled quietly under her breath. Blizz just shook his head with a small, knowing smile—he could already tell where this was headed.

"Alright, let's go find Nami," Luffy declared, stretching his arms above his head. "But first… let me finish this last bite."

Sanji slammed his hand against the table. "What if something happened to Nami while you're stuffing your face?!"

"Actually…" Conis started hesitantly, "I don't know if she really went to the Upper Yard. So please, don't act recklessly. If you anger God Enel, it could become… very problematic."

They rushed back down to the beach. The warm sand shifted under their feet as they scanned the coastline. The white clouds above churned slowly, as if sensing something was about to happen.

That's when they saw them—figures in white armor riding strange, floating skates—Skypiea's enforcers. The island's self-proclaimed police.

"Hey! You trespassers!" the captain barked, drawing a weird, shell-shaped weapon. "You have broken sacred law!"

The crew tensed, preparing for a fight.

But before they could react, from the distance came the roar of a waver engine. Nami blazed across the beach, her hair whipping behind her, and slammed the captain clean off his feet with the front of the waver. He crashed to the ground, a stunned look on his face.

"Oops," Nami said, pretending to be surprised.

"Y-you dare assault the White Berets?!" another officer shouted.

The squad rushed them, weapons raised. But it was no contest. Luffy grinned and threw a massive punch, sending several of them flying into the clouds. Zoro's swords flashed like silver lightning, and Sanji spun through the air, knocking the last few away with sharp, brutal kicks.

Blizz barely moved. He simply waved his hand once, sending a burst of pressurized wind that toppled a few more enforcers who had tried to flank them.

The dust settled. The beach went silent except for the heavy breathing of the defeated officers.

Slowly, the captain of the enforcers staggered back to his feet, his face bruised but determined. He pointed a trembling finger at them.

"You… you will regret this," he rasped. "The Priests of the Upper Yard… they will personally judge you."

He stumbled away, disappearing into the haze of the cloudline.

The crew stood there, their laughter from earlier long gone. The threat of something far bigger now loomed over them.

"Let them judge," he said under his breath. "We'll be the ones giving out the real verdict."

After the dust from the skirmish with the White Berets settled, the air around them grew heavier. The blue sea pirates knew — this wasn't going to end here.

Bagaya crossed his arms and looked worried.

"You all need to leave Sky Island immediately," he said. "You've made yourselves enemies of God Enel."

Conis nodded beside him, wringing her hands anxiously. "Please… you shouldn't stay here anymore. If you anger God further, it won't just be you. Everyone here could get punished."

Luffy scratched his head, grinning wide. "Yeah, yeah. We'll go soon."

Sanji flicked his cigarette. "It's not like we planned on staying forever."

Robin, however, spoke gently. "We've already made enemies of this place just by stepping here. Leaving won't be simple."

They decided to split for a moment to prepare for their departure. Robin, Nami, Chopper, and Zoro stayed on the ship, tidying and loading supplies. Meanwhile, Luffy, Sanji, Usopp — and Blizz — followed Conis and Bagaya to their home one last time, gathering a few final essentials.

Blizz walked silently behind them, his hands tucked into his pockets.

He could already sense it — something was shifting in the skies. Something big.

As they reached the small wooden house again, Usopp leaned over the balcony for some fresh air… but then froze.

"Hey! Hey!!! THE SHIP!!!" he shouted, pointing wildly.

They all rushed over — and their eyes widened.

A gigantic crab, larger than any beast they'd ever seen, had its massive claws locked around the Going Merry!

It skittered across the cloud sea, dragging the ship — along with Robin, Zoro, Nami, and Chopper — toward the distant thunderous forest.

"No way! They're being kidnapped!!" Sanji shouted, already vaulting over the balcony.

Luffy's eyes blazed with excitement. "Heh… adventure time!"

Blizz stayed behind for a moment, standing silently as the others rushed out.

He stared at the disappearing figures of their friends… then gave a small, almost imperceptible smile.

He knew.

He knew this was coming.

But still… he'd decided: he'd stick with Luffy and the others.

He threw off his cloak, tightening the wrappings around his arms, and followed them with a steady, determined pace.

The house was quiet, heavy with tension. Luffy, Sanji, Usopp, and Blizz sat cross-legged around the low wooden table, scraps of food and maps scattered between them. Outside, the storm clouds still rumbled in the distance.

Connis's father stabbed his finger down onto the map. "They're heading here. Upper Yard."

Usopp was still visibly shaking. "We need a plan! If we just charge in, we'll all get zapped to dust!"

Blizz sat silently, his eyes narrowed, running through possibilities in his head. He tapped the table twice. "We don't have the luxury of time. The longer we wait, the harder it'll be."

Conis, who had been standing by nervously, finally stepped forward.

"I'll take you to the port," she said. "There's a small vessel you can use. It's meant for short travel across the White Sea… not exactly safe for Upper Yard, but it's all we have."

"Good enough for me!" Luffy said, already standing up.

Blizz rose too, adjusting the wrappings around his wrists. He glanced once out the window toward the thick, black clouds gathering over the forest where their friends had been taken. His mind was calm — but inside, he could already feel the tension building.

Sanji grabbed a pack of supplies, throwing it over his shoulder. "Let's move."

The four of them followed Conis through the winding paths, past startled villagers who hurriedly shut their doors and windows at the sight of them. They knew. No one challenged Enel and lived.

Finally reached the small harbor, eyes lighting up at the sight of the cloud boats lined up like fluffy toys.

"Oh! There's boats!" Luffy yelled, his voice echoing across the dock.

"Let's take this one, it's so cool!" Usopp shouted, pointing at a sleek cloud skimmer.

"Wow, look at this one too!" Luffy added, marveling at another shaped like a giant flying fish.

But Conis hurried ahead, looking nervous. "Your ship is… this way."

The group followed, rounding a corner—and stopped dead.

There, tied loosely to the dock, was a sad-looking crow-shaped boat, bobbing weakly on the misty water.

Luffy's face fell. "Oh, no way…"

"A crow? It's not even a sea-bird," Usopp muttered, slouching in defeat.

"Hey, that one over there looks way better!" Luffy pointed back to the flashy ship.

Conis shook her head sadly. "I'm sorry, but… those are for rent. I don't have the money to…"

"You ungrateful jerk!" Sanji snapped, spinning on Luffy and Usopp. "Apologize sincerely to Conis-chan, you pieces of trash!"

"I'm sorry!" they both cried, bowing low.

Trying to regain the mood, Conis forced a small smile. "The exit is at Gate Number Two. From there, you can connect to the main Milky Road that leads toward Upper Yard. That's the only way."

They nodded, but Blizz, standing quietly near the rear, watched her carefully. Something about her body language wasn't right.

"Hey, Conis," Luffy said casually as they walked, "how come you've been shaking ever since we left your house?"

At his words, Conis visibly stiffened. Around them, other islanders who were pretending not to notice also froze, casting furtive, frightened glances.

"Does it look that way?" she said, her voice trembling, sweat beading on her forehead.

"Yeah," luffy said, frowning. "Like you're really scared."

"Aww, Conis-chan," sanji said, tearing up dramatically. "You must be worried about us! I'm so touched!"

"But will you be alright?" Usopp asked. "People on the street were definitely avoiding us. Yet you led us here and even lent us your boat… wouldn't that make you a criminal too?"

Luffy tilted his head. "You kinda look pale. You should've told us if you were that scared. We could have gotten here by ourselves."

Conis bit her lip hard. It looked like she was about to say something — something important. Her whole body trembled, tears welling in her eyes.

That's when Blizz moved.

In a blur, he was behind her, catching her before she could speak.

Thwack — A gentle but firm knock to the back of her neck.

Conis slumped forward, unconscious but unharmed.

The crew gasped.

Blizz straightened up, looking deadly serious for the first time. "No time for explanations. It's a trap. We need to move—now!"

Luffy didn't question him.

"Got it!" he shouted, jumping onto the crow-boat.

Sanji grabbed the supplies. "Everyone on board! Let's go!"

Usopp scrambled after them, panicking. "H-hey! What do you mean trap?!"

Blizz just pushed the boat off the dock with a powerful kick, launching them into the misty white currents.
