Three months later…
Just when I thought things were over, they were just getting started. There are an innumerable number of universes out there. But not all have rifts that I need to crack. That's when I had to head to one universe in particular…my own. Now, I don't know what kind of shit is going on back there. And I know that I won't be welcomed. Like Cameron had said, "Go ahead, kill me. Show me the monster I knew you were. I bet when people find me, they will think you killed your brother." The government just might believe that.
I looked back at the portal after entering the world again. I knew I had to look out for people, especially those who could be after me. I was under the sea. I instantly felt the pressure of the water crushing in on me. But as usual, my skin held stronger. I had bones of diamond and skin of steel. As I walked on the surface, I came across many jellified life forms hiding near thermal vents. The water was boiling and misty. I couldn't see the sun when I looked up, I was below the photic zone, even lower probably. The rift was even lower. I was already thousands of feet under the Ocean.
I crawled into a vent that was just barely a meter wide. I reach for my tungsten mask and put it on. I crawled deeper into the Earth as I reached the mantle. Where the hell was this rift located? Was it in the core of the Earth or something? After a few minutes of sinking deeper, I saw it. There was a pocket of gas here. That should have been impossible since the walls were some type of carbon, maybe diamond. It must be a rare occurrence for this to happen. The diamond was hot and gray. The Rift was an orb like the others, but bigger than most I found in other dimensions. I smashed it open and broke it with the Cosmic razor. Yet another job well done without negative consequence. It feels good to have a purpose in life.
I cut a portal to West Virginia because I was curious to see what had changed again. I walk out the other side into the back of a van. It was moving, and the driver looked back at me, stunned. I smile and wave so he doesn't say anything. "Uh, hi?"
He screams and runs out of the van to the others. Great, now I have to hide. Of course people regular people wont believe him, but when the government find out them I am screwed like an IKEA spice rack. I jumped into a dumpster. And waited to hear any sirens. In less than 5 minutes, they came. They must be looking for me if it was that quick. Then I heard them speak through a megaphone and what sounded like firing bullets into the air to get people away from the area. "Leon Josh Tyromus. You can come out now, we know you are here. The FBI has been searching for you for over 3 months."
Was I supposed to trust them, or was I going to fall for a trap? Let's find out. "Do you have ichor? I don't want trouble, just to be home for a while."
Commander-. "Yes, but if you cooperate, you will be just fine. Just don't do anything funny.?
I hear them all drop something. More or less, I still need to be cautious. I get out of the dumpster covered in some garbage, but hold my axes in front of me. "What do you want? I only need to see the world."
Commander-. "Come with us, we need to ask you a few questions."
They put me in the back of a high-grade military truck with thick, heavy, gray walls. I sat next to a few armed soldiers who seemed nervous but serious to be close to me. Though there was one who was straight across who looked as brave, and they were scared. He gave me his hand and stared firmly at me. "Hello, Leon. My name is Zillion Zack, and I believe you're going to be just fine with us."
We arrived at the Arizona desert in front of a massive glass sphere. It seems to reach over 50 meters in height. When I got closer, the build became more obvious as a massive military base with a large defence system, followed by thick barbed wire fences and larger runways and parking lots. I had to admit, it was very impressive. As we drove up to a gate with the other vehicles around us for protection, we drove into a big hangar with a jet in the middle. It was black and looked like a part of my armor with lots of sharp thorns and edges, it had sharp wings that looked like they might be able to cut through trees from flying..
Commander-. "That right there is the L-43, or the Black Dragon. And welcome to Dyson Sphere. I am Commander Dyson. I was Callith's boss months ago before he died."
I looked down. Now I know they might think I did, but so far, none seemed to question it all. Dyson pulled out a laptop to show me camera footage. On it was the death of Callith, Cameron, and me. "Now I know you didn't kill anyone on purpose. I respect your sacrifices and risks. What you did was heroic. Cameron was a psychotic murderer. Apparently, he was harvesting the subject Ryoth's body for a rare resource you called Ichor earlier. Is that right?"
I nod. "Yes, that is correct. I can die to it, but only temporarily. I come back once every 7 hours as my body is remade somewhere else."
Commander-. "And that place is one of the things I would love to talk about. Although this is classified information that only certain people should know. Let's head to the conference room."
During my time spent there, I told him only what I was allowed to tell. God unlocking my powers, on the other hand, was out of the discussion. "Back in that domain is where I have to go back to now and do a job that keeps you all alive for the sake of the universe." He understood my words and extracted what information he could get out of me.
As we talked, inside came the same person who greeted me back in the truck. "Hello, this is Zillion at your service, sir. We discovered this in Chernobyl. It seems to be some kind of singularity."
Commander-. "You can call me dad, you know, I would be mad if you did. Anyway, I will deal with it later."
Dad? Was he talking to him or me? Who calls their dad sir? "Dad? As in, you are his father?"
Commander-. "Sure, he is, he just never calls me it. Poor son brings a tear to my eye. He is a brave hero. He would give his life to protect others, you also seem to show that. That's why you have the choice to join our forces to fight for us."
Now, I would never abandon my job to protect the Omnivurse. But whatever he needed me for seemed to be important. "I can assist you with one task, for any amount of time that is reasonable."
Commander-. "Ok, listen. Dyson Forces have found strange orbs across the world. And from what you have told me, you are destroying countless numbers of them. Is that right?"
I take out my Cosmic Razor and throw it on the table. "Only with this. It is called the Cosmic Razor and can be used to travel across dimensions only by me or other special forces. If you are asking me to destroy them all, then I am in, just tell me where they are."
Commander-. "No, I think we should study them, I mean, think of the knowledge we can gain from just harvesting the amount of energy they could have inside."
Was he stupid? Did he not hear a thing I had said to him earlier? "That isn't a very bright idea. You need to destroy them or they will destroy your universe regardless."
Commander-. "Noted. We will not mess with them. But then we need you for another mission. I will give you the details soon."
