Zara smiled back and shook hands with him " Hi, I am Zara. Its pleasure meeting you. Thanku for coming."
When she released his hands after shaking, Karan didn't let go of her hand, he slightly pulled her close and wishpered in low voice only she could hear, " You look more beautiful today than yesterday."
Karan smiled and let go of her hand after that. Zara's ears got red after the whisper. She was surprised and puzzled. She thought ' What the hell ....Is this guy crazy ?'
Before she could ask, Mr. Oberoi took her to meet his other friends.
Mr. Oberoi was introducing Zara to his friend circle, mostly the influential people of upper class. Zara was just nodding and smiling to them.
After some time, Zara saw her adoptive parents and Tara entering with a staff. She was shocked.
Only Mrs. Oberoi had met her adoptive mother and no one else knew about them.
Zara saw her mother who was smiling at her. She understood that her mother wants to show them their place after what her adoptive mother said to her in the jewellery shop.
Mrs. Oberoi couldn't spoke in the jewellery shop because she felt guilty for the fact that she couldn't protect her daughter and she was adopted by someone else but she will never let anyone humiliate her daughter like that.
Mrs. Oberoi welcomed them politely and introduced them to Mr. Oberoi. " Meet our daughter's adoptive parents Mr and Mrs. Adani and their real daughter Tara Adani."
Mr. Oberoi was startled because he didn't knew that they were coming too.
" Adani? I have never heard the name Adani before. Where are they from? They don't look like from the upper society." Everyone in the hall started talking to each other but everyone especially Adani family of three could hear the wishpers clearly and felt very embarrassed.
Tara was very jealous because Zara was wearing a limited edition dress and a diamond necklace from Nine.
Mr. Adani was flustered and Mrs. Adani was embarrassed and angry at the whispers they could hear clearly.
Mr. Oberoi didn't knew the situation and said to Mr. Adani " I am really grateful for you to raise my daughter in such a perfect girl. Thanku for coming to the party. If you need my help in the future, please don't hesitate to ask."
Mrs. Ambani came with his husband and spoke sarcastically to Mrs. Adani " oh ! I remember you. I saw you in Nine's shop. You were scolding Zara to be ungrateful and also created a commotion there. I didn't thought I would see you here."
Everyone was shocked after listening to Mrs. Ambani and obviously no one doubted her because why will a high noble lady will lie.
Mrs. Adani was greatly humiliated and said boldly " That was just a small mistake because I thought Zara wanted to go against me because of that poor nanny."
Zara exposed her in front of everyone, " Ofcourse my nanny is more important to me than you. Why can't I take her side when she protected me when you tried to hit me so many times to release your anger and then you kicked her out because she didn't agree to let you hit me."
Mr. Oberoi and Zara's brothers were furious at Mrs. Adani.
Mr. Adani felt embarrassed and turned his anger to his wife. He yelled at Mrs. Adani " I didnt knew you tried to hit her behind my back. How can you do this?"
Mrs. Adani got more angry because Mr. Adani put all the blame on her. She couldn't think straight and exposed Mr. Adani " You are blaming me now ... Don't forget that you adopted her because you wanted the family inheritance. Your whole family is at fault. They kept the terms to give the family property only to the daughters."
Mr. Adani wanted to shut her mouth but she continued to blabber" I also lost my precious daughter Tara. I was so worried about her. How can you expect me to care for another homeless girl? Why didn't you cared for her?"
Mr. Adani couldn't controlled his anger and slapped Mrs. Adani hard on her face. Her face became red and the pain caused by it made her cry.
