Chapter 44:- The Real Flashback of the First meeting
Flashback – The First Meeting
Years ago, before Tenshi's empire had fully risen, Daijin and his squad were mercenaries, fighting for survival in the lawless ruins of a fallen city.
One night, during a contract mission gone wrong, Daijin's group had been cornered in an abandoned temple by rogue assassins. Outnumbered and low on supplies, they were prepared to die.
But then, he appeared.
A lone warrior dressed in black, stepping out of the shadows like a ghost. His sword sang through the air with terrifying precision, cutting down their enemies in mere seconds.
Daijin had never seen anyone move like that. It wasn't just skill—it was something beyond human.
When the bloodshed ended, the warrior sheathed his sword and turned to leave.
Daijin called out, "Who the hell are you?"
The warrior paused. Then, without turning, he spoke.
"Kim Han."
That name. Daijin had heard it whispered before. A phantom. A monster. A warrior who had crawled out of hell itself.
Curious—and maybe a little reckless—Daijin followed him.
Over time, he learned the truth.
Kim Han was no ordinary warrior. He was a man who had lost everything. A man who had been forged in suffering and brutality.
And Daijin had seen the proof with his own eyes.
One night, as they sat near a fire in a hidden hideout, Kim Han had removed his shirt, revealing a body covered in deep scars.
Daijin wasn't the type to pry into other people's pasts, but this… this was different.
"You went through hell, didn't you?" Daijin muttered.
Kim Han didn't answer at first. He simply stared into the fire, lost in memories too dark to share.
But then he spoke.
"One day, Daijin… you might find yourself trapped in a nightmare you can't escape."
Daijin frowned. "And?"
Kim Han finally looked at him, his dark eyes unreadable.
"If that day comes… call for me."
