While Malerin was gathering flowers and herbs, O'garth was watching his surroundings and guarding Jaymir and Malerin. Jaymir was gathering material and weaving and setting traps, just in case trouble found them.
With no time to waste howls echoed through the trees, as a powerful breeze swooped in causing the trees to groan and moan, while lesser animals ran from their lives. The branches of the trees rustled within the powerful breezes of the wind. O'garth tightened his grip on his weapon and his heels dug deeper into the dirt as he took a ready stance as stated in a stern serious mutter, "They come..." Malerin's cheerful expression turned to concern and fear. Yet, Jaymir continued to calmly weave something out of leaves and twigs.
Suddenly they found themselves surrounded by a pack of beasts that had the head of a wolf, the body of a large cat, the ears of a bear, the fangs of a sabertooth, which was long and sharp, and a long tail that had a furry tip to them. Yet, Jaymir was calm he still felt the intimidating presence of these beasts, which made him gulp in fear. O'garth grunts at their presence as he comments, "I am so over these Damn, beasts!" Malerin sends out a small quiet, yet cowering tone, "Oh, no Laverions." she trembles in fear placing her hand over his mouth.
Suddenly one of the Laverions glares at Jaymir and growls an angry growl, as if it were saying, "I told you, I will be back for you." Jaymir jerks his head back in concern and fear as he says, "Looks like we meet again, mister beast." The Laverions encircle Jaymir, Malerin, and O'garth, licking their lips and roaring at them.
Malerin cries out in concern, but in a mutter, "Guys what are we going to do? They have us surrounded..." Jaymir slowly and carefully kneeled and put something that he was weaving on the ground and attached it to something that was already on the ground. O'garth and Malarin glanced over to Jaymir and carefully watched him.
Suddenly with quick reflexes one of the Laverions charged at Jaymir, however, O'garth jumped in the way of the beast and held him at bay. O'garth yelled, "Like you're going after him, you beasts and I have to deal with me!" another Laverion tried to go after Malerin, but Jaymir grabbed her and pulled her behind him, yet said, "Step back, when they lunge, it will do the rest." Malerin looked down at the ground and saw Jaymir had set up a trap by them.
The one that went after Malerin finally lunged at her yet again, she ran towards the trap, which the Laverion chased her. With a loud snap, the trap went off wrapping around Laverion's leg and flinging it up in the air, once in the air another trap set off, and a net wrapped around it, causing it to be tightened and trapped.
The trapped Laverion growls and cries in fury, trying to bite and claw its way out but can't. The last Laverion saw one of its brethren trapped and the other one being held back. Its eyes widened in fear and ran off in fear.
Despite one being held captive, there was one more to deal with. O'garth tossed the beast to the side and ready himself for the next attack of the beast. Yet the beast saw O'garth and then saw Jaymir spinning his sling and it retreated into the forest after grunting in defeat.
