Chapter 39 - .39 VISITOR FROM THE BEYOND.

The sky was no longer blue.

Ever since Rei reawakened the Sovereign's Mark, the world around him had started to shift. The winds felt heavier, the stars distant and silent, and the moon—once white—now pulsed faintly red, like an open wound in the sky. It was as if the world remembered what he was… and feared it.

Rei stood on the edge of the ruined town the woman had led him to. She called herself Kaelra, a wanderer of timelines, a soul that had escaped the Sovereign War. Her words haunted him: "This world is a cage. You weren't born here."

He didn't understand it yet, but deep inside, something clicked. This wasn't his true home. And that meant—whoever put him here, erased his memories, and sealed his powers—was afraid of him.

The night grew colder.

A strange hum echoed through the air, and Kaelra instantly stood alert.

> "She's coming," she whispered.

> "Who?" Rei asked, hand on his blade.

The wind howled violently—and then, from the shadows of the sky, she descended.

A girl floated down from the clouds, cloaked in glowing veils of mist. Her hair flowed like stardust, her eyes an eerie void. She couldn't have been older than Rei… but her presence felt ancient.

Her bare feet touched the ground, and time around her seemed to halt for just a moment.

> "You don't know me yet," she said. "But I was there when you destroyed the last Heavenly King."

Rei froze.

> "You… what are you talking about?"

The girl stepped forward, her hand extending. Her fingers shimmered with flickers of broken timelines, images of Rei covered in blood, standing in a battlefield full of corpses—gods, men, and monsters alike.

> "You broke everything," she said. "And then… they locked you here. In this fake world. Gave you peace so you'd forget who you were."

> "Who are 'they'?" Rei growled.

> "The ones above the Creator. The Silent Code. You've only scratched the surface."

Lightning cracked across the sky. A dimensional rift tore open in the clouds for a split second, revealing a glimpse of a colossal white throne, surrounded by masked figures whispering in a language reality couldn't hold.

Rei's knees nearly buckled.

Kaelra stepped in front of him, shouting, "Enough! You'll fracture his mind!"

The girl turned, her eyes glowing.

> "He needs to remember. Or the Blood Reign will be crushed before it begins."

Then, she vanished. No portal. No sound. Just gone.

Rei stood there, trembling. His mind flashed with moments not yet lived—wars, betrayals, flames of creation and destruction. And then… a voice in his head.

> [SYSTEM NOTICE: Your memory is attempting to break through the final seal.]

> [You must choose: Accept the final shard of truth… or remain in this dream.]

Rei stared into the red sky.

> "Give me everything," he whispered.

And the world began to tear apart.
