Morca was coming from the area where he had previously battled three 2-star monsters, heading straight toward the dungeon center.
He hadn't found any more of the monsters he was looking for, so he decided to go deeper into the forest, hoping to run into another one. If he could just slay one more, his chances of securing a spot in the academy's Unique Class would be sealed.
As he ventured deeper, a faint movement caught his attention.
'Huh… an assassin? Looks like one of the trial candidates is playing a dangerous game.'
How could Morca not sense a shadow's presence when he could be called one himself?
He kept running, not letting the assassin know that he had already been detected. He lowered his presence, his footfalls quiet, his breathing perfectly timed with the rustling wind.
