Chapter 94 - Chapter 94: The Last Stand

The battle of Dressrosa had reached its boiling point. Solian's crew, worn down but unbowed, tore through the streets, killing Doflamingo's forces by the score. The island trembled at their battle, and with each passing second, the tension built. They had come for one purpose: to bring down the tyrant who had enslaved this land and free its people.

Solian's heart pounded, his adrenaline pumping as he charged forward, slicing through waves of foes. Doflamingo's forces were strong, but they could not match the fury that raged in him. The more he fought, the braver he felt.

As Solian and his soldiers approached the middle of the city, time was at a standstill. The sun hung in the horizon, casting a dark shadowy glow on the battlefield. There was the thick aroma of burned trash and the clang of steel being clashed. The last battle was going to begin.

Doflamingo's Presence

Suddenly, the street ahead of them lay open, and the claustrophobic feeling of being watched descended upon them. The puppeteer was there.

Doflamingo stood up to his full height, his signature smile spreading across his face like a venomous snake. The pale, elegant man in his flashy pink suit and long feathered coat looked incongruous among the destruction, like an artist stepping back to admire his handiwork.

"So, you finally showed up," Doflamingo mocked. "I was wondering how long it would take for you to arrive. And here you are, knocking on my doorstep. How sweet."

Solian's eyes grew cold. The man who had ruined Dressrosa, the man whose control of the island and its people was absolute—this was the man Solian had come to destroy.

"You've hurt enough," Solian growled. "This ends today."

Doflamingo tilted his head, grin dancing in his eyes. "Do you actually believe it's so simple? You're no more than a bug scurrying along the lawn. I've ruled this island for far too long to let you take it away from me. But I must admit, I do give you credit for your persistence."

Without warning, Doflamingo clicked his fingers.

The Battle Ignites

The air was charged with tension as his strings snapped out, threads of fate sewing their deadly dance. Solian was the first to act, summoning a portal at his feet, teleported to Doflamingo's side before the strings could even reach him.

"Solar Rift Strike!" Solian's fist exploded with solar energy as he drove it toward Doflamingo. The force of the blow radiated out like a sunburst, but Doflamingo barely flinched. His strings moved, coiling around his body to form a barrier of sorts, absorbing the impact.

"You're fast," Doflamingo said, his grin widening. "But speed won't save you."

Before Solian could react, the strings snapped out like whips, striking at his legs. They sliced through the air, cutting with unnatural precision. Solian jumped back just in time, landing on the rooftop beside him, his body flashing briefly with the afterimage of his movement.

Plasma Barrage!" Solian roared, firing a barrage of solar blasts downwards at Doflamingo. The projectiles lit up the sky, but the string-wielding despot paid them no mind, his strings cutting through the attacks before they even had a hope of reaching him.

"You can do better than that," sneered Doflamingo, moving forward, his feet barely touching the ground. His strings seemed to writhe like life, twisting and contorting as they erupted out at Solian.

Kael, Vance, and Jorin's Assault

Meanwhile, Kael, Vance, and Jorin weren't idle. They too had targets—Doflamingo's crew, the men and women who had pledged their loyalty to the puppet master.

Jorin's sword sliced through the air, his body a blur as he fought with Pica, the stone-molding fighter. Pica had transformed the earth beneath their feet into massive, jagged mounds of stone, but Jorin was a master sword-fighter, his sword slicing through the earth like a hot knife through butter.

Vance, on the other hand, was facing off with Trebol, the sticky, goo-like Devil Fruit user. Trebol attempted to trap Vance in his viscous, tar-like substance, but Vance's raw power was enough to break free of the sticky traps with each punch.

"Is that all you've got?" Vance roared, his fists crashing into Trebol's hardened form, sending shockwaves through the battlefield.

Kael was already planning ahead, a step or two ahead of everyone else. He was racing his mind, performing calculations within his head regarding their next move.

"We can't keep swinging for the fences," Kael growled, his eyes switching between Doflamingo and his henchmen. "We have to soft target him first. The longer this continues, the more momentum is going to shift in his favor."

Doflamingo's Rage

At the same time, back at the heart of things, Doflamingo's temper was running out. He had made the mistake of underestimating the Solar Rift Pirates. Their stubbornness, their stamina, had caught him off guard. But not now.

"Stop playing around," Doflamingo snarled. "I'll show you why I'm king of this island."

He raised his arms, and the strings burst forward, writhing like a thousand poisonous snakes, their cutting edges as keen as they were capable of cutting metal. The ground trembled as Doflamingo brought the full force of his ability to bear. He was no longer controlling merely the strings—he was controlling the air itself.

"String Revolution!" roared Doflamingo, his voice commanding across the battlefield. The strings became themselves, wrapping around every object in sight, pulling and bending them like puppets on strings at his whim.

Time seemed to freeze for a moment. Solian was caught off guard, managing only to dodge by a hair's breadth from a lash of barbed string that crackled towards him. He teleported again, this time to the roof, panting for breath.

"I'm not done yet, Doflamingo!" Solian shouted, his voice filled with determination. "This island is ours!"

The Final Push

As Doflamingo prepared to unleash his full power, Solian knew this was the moment to push forward. His body was already brimming with energy, his resolve steeled. He couldn't let this monster win.

"Solar Rift!" Solian bellowed, his Devil Fruit power spreading out as he created a rift of pure solar energy. The rift pulsed with light, its intensity blinding. He launched it straight at Doflamingo, and the explosion rocked the island.

The shockwave convulsed the city, with the streets creaking open under its weight. Doflamingo's strings strained wildly, trying to shield him from the shock, but his solar energy-strengthened physique was too much. The tyrant took a moment's pause, having lost his faith.

That was all the room they needed.

"Now!" cried Solian.

The team pushed forward, their attacks co-ordinating into an organized attack. Jorin's sword cut through Doflamingo's strings, disconnecting him from his usual dominance over the battlefield. Vance bashed his fists into the ground, forming giant craters and unleashing shockwaves at Doflamingo. Kael unleashed a bunch of calculated blows, exploiting each loophole in Doflamingo's defenses.

And lastly, Solian teleported behind Doflamingo, putting the finishing touches on him with a Plasma Strike.

Doflamingo fumbled, his face aghast. His grip on the island, his grip on the fight—everything was slipping away from him.
