In the year 2177, humanity is no longer free. After a catastrophic event known as The Great Upload, most of the world's population has been digitized into Eon, a vast virtual world controlled by the ruthless megacorporation SynthCorp. Those who remain in the real world live in New Eden, the last human city—a decaying cyberpunk dystopia where the sky is always gray, and reality itself is an illusion.
Enter Kieran "Kae" Blackwood; a skilled hacker haunted by his past, searching for answers in a world built on lies. When he stumbles upon a glitch in Eon, he unknowingly triggers a chain of events that could shatter SynthCorp's control over humanity. Together with his squad; Axel, the puzzle-solving genius; Lena, the sharp-tongued beauty; and Rory, the reckless thrill-seeker; Kieran uncovers a hidden message from a mysterious figure known as "The Architect."
The message speaks of the Shadow People, glitches that appear in Eon, feared by all. But as the squad digs deeper, they learn the terrifying truth: the Shadow People are not just anomalies… they are echoes of a forgotten past, and they hold the key to humanity's future.
Now, hunted by SynthCorp enforcers and facing impossible choices, Kieran and his friends must navigate a dangerous web of secrets, cybernetic betrayals, and reality-bending conspiracies.
