Areeba gasped, bolting upright.
She was back.
The town was gone.
Rehan groaned beside her, his head pounding. "Did we make it?"
A siren wailed in the distance.
Areeba turned—police officers were running toward them.
One of them knelt beside her. "We've been looking for you."
She felt the weight of everything crash down on her.
The nightmare was over.
Or so she thought.
