Episode 13
The car was parked inside the compound and Manon saw that Louis was stilll on the phone with his grandfather, his hand tightly holding hers. Her heart was beating wildly, and she gently pulled her hand away from his warm grasp.
Feeling his hand suddenly empty, Louis gaze turned to Manon's face, and he raised an eyebrow teasingly.
Manon didn't say anything, she raised her hand and pointed outside the window, indicating that she had to go inside .
Louis indulgently and gently flicked her forehead, "I know, go ahead."
After getting out of the car, Manon secretly glanced at the hand that had just been held, still feeling the warmth lingering on her fingertips. She lightly pinched her fingers, and her cheeks blushed slightly.
Inside the car--
Louis grandfather was still talking non stop , but Louis showed no signs of impatience. Instead, he was in a very good mood.
This rare conversation lasted for a long time, and his grandfather noticed that something was off and asked suspiciously, "Why are you suddenly so obedient? Are you hiding some big move?"
After hearing this, Louis couldn't help but laugh and cry, and helplessly rubbed his forehead. "No, I just think that your proposals are all good, Grandpa."
Suddenly being praised by his grandson, the old man's tone became cheerful, "Of course, who am I? My proposals are naturally the best."
Louis smiled wryly. Just by listening to his grandfather's voice, he could imagine the smug look on his face.
"But Manon has been too busy lately. Let's wait a few more days. When we both have time, I'll take her back to the Mansion."He whispered to his grandfather, thinking of Manon's appearance, his eyes softened.
"This is what you said. If you're lying to me, I won't let you off!" The old man laughed heartily, about to hang up the phone. Suddenly, Louis remembered something and quickly stopped him, "By the way, Grandpa, don't tell Manon about this yet. I'll tell her myself later."
The old man was overjoyed and said "good" three times before hanging up the phone.
After a hasty dinner at home, Manon took a quick shower and quickly got into bed. Her exhaustion was relieved, and she slowly curled up her body. Just as she was about to fall asleep, someone gently lifted the covers. Manon instantly woke up and looked alertly at the person, reaching out to subdue them.
Unexpectedly, the other party's reaction was even faster than hers. He reached out and grabbed her arm.
"Behave, stop being difficult and go to sleep," Louis said as he slowly embraced her , his low and hoarse voice ringing in her ear.
Manon's was forced to shrink in the man's arms, her ears pressed tightly against his chest, listening to his strong and powerful heartbeat. Her cheeks slowlybecame as hot as fire.
She gritted her teeth, her voice full of dissatisfaction, "Louis, who's causing trouble?! Let go of me!"
As she spoke, she reached out to push him , just wanting to escape from his embrace as soon as possible.
Louis had just finished taking a shower and was now wearing a set of cotton long-sleeved pajamas. The little girl in his arms was not at all obedient, pulling and tugging back and forth, and even tore his clothes open.
His body was fully exposed in front of her, his well-proportioned and muscular abs were perfect.
Manon was so anxious that her face turned red, and she buried herself in his chest, feeling the masculine scent of him.
Meanwhile, his nose was filled with Manon's unique fragrance. Louis breathing became more and more rapid, and he gasped heavily, reaching into the quilt to hold down Manon's restless feet.
"Don't move," the man's dark and dangerous voice revealed a hint of danger, "if you move again, I'll sleep with you."
As soon as he finished speaking, Manon dared not move anymore and lay quietly on his arms.
After a while, Louis calmed down and looked down. The person in his arms was already asleep, a small figure like a child.
He lowered his head and left a gentle kiss on her forehead, then hugged her tightly, his nose against her neck, and slowly fell asleep.
The next day, Louis grandfather urged him again to bring Manon back to the old mansion.
He was bombarded with phone calls and had no choice but to discuss it with Manon.
"Grandpa said he misses you, the old man can't help it..." Louis pretended to look casually into the distance, his expression indifferent.Manon didn't think much about it and nodded in agreement, indicating that she had no problem with it.
"Grandpa wants us to prepare for the wedding." As he spoke, Louis kept an eye on Manon's reaction.
Manon clearly hesitated for a moment, and a hint of panic flashed in her eyes. "I don't think a wedding is necessary. Haven't we already had one?"
As soon as Manon finished speaking, Louis spoke up, his tone carrying an unnoticed displeasure. "Why isn't it necessary?"
"We're just in a business agreement. It's a bit too much to have another wedding, isn't it?" Manon was only thinking from the perspective of their agreement, unaware that the person next to her was already feeling mixed emotions after hearing her words.
"It's just to fool Grandpa and those people in the family. If we don't have another wedding, they might suspect something." Louis suppressed his emotions, not wanting to scare her away , who was already full of concerns, or put too much pressure on her.
Manon taught for a moment and felt that she should cooperate. Her eyelashes trembled and she said softly, "Okay."
The atmosphere in the car became heavy, and Louis looked at Manon beside him, feeling very irritable. What made him even more annoyed was that he didn't even know where this sudden displeasure came from.
The two of them arrived at the old mansion together, and the old man was already waiting for them at the door. When he saw Manon , he immediately greeted her.
"Daughter in law , you're finally here. I've asked this my grandson to bring you back several times, but he said you were busy. This time you finally came back. I've picked an auspicious day, the best day for a wedding. The previous wedding doesn't count since I wasn't there. This time we must have a proper one." The old man led Manon to the living room with a smile, pointing to the calendar as he spoke.
At this point, Manon had no
choice but to go along with it, even if she didn't want to.
