Chapter 22 - Stea-cough, I'm just borrowing.

Humans.

Not what I expected.

Corporal Martin's transformation was... something else. Raw. Unfiltered. A primal surge that defied typical predatory expectations.

The moment fear dissolved into pure, unadulterated rage fascinated me. That precise psychological trigger where an organism simply decides: "Enough."

It seems the blood of the Anaconda King triggered something inside Martin, was it a bloodline or something else?.

Kaiser then saw it, the human unleashing his superpower on the Anaconda King, which already had a foot in the grave.

When those crystal structures erupted from his skin, it was like watching something break through reality's thin membrane. Not elegant. Not controlled. Just violent. Pure.

The Anaconda King never stood a chance.

Its fatal mistake? Thinking Martin was just another prey.

Classic predatory arrogance.

Martin's attack wasn't strategic. It was a tsunami of human fury. Each crystal spike a middle finger to evolutionary hierarchy. Each movement screaming: "Not today."

Blood everywhere. Emerald serpent fluid mixing with human crimson. A grotesque painting of survival.

The eagle watching from above seemed to enjoy the show. Nature's dark comedy, playing out in real-time.

Predator. Prey. The lines blur.

And in that blurring, something beautiful happens.

He then scooped down to pick up the massive corpse, with his talons.

He used mana to cover his body, strengthening his already strong body, due to usage of mana Corporal Martin awoke, his state an absolute mess.

Well. This is awkward.

Dragging a massive serpent corpse through the Amazon wasn't exactly a typical Tuesday afternoon activity. The Anaconda King looked less like a fearsome predator now and more like the world's most elaborate, scaly gym bag.

Mana manipulation turned him into the world's strangest pack mule.

The humans in their trucks, picked up Corporal Martin, and started giving chase to him.

He was a conspicuous target, after all.

Each flap of his wings broadcasted pure, unfiltered "don't mess with me" energy. The birds in the sky seemed to lean away. practically whispering, "Nope. Not today." especially after seeing the giant corpse, he was carrying.

The humans trailing behind looked like a mix between a tactical military unit and a group of confused tourists who'd taken a very wrong turn.

Corporal Martin - still sporting random crystal fragments and looking like he'd wrestled a cheese grater - muttered something that sounded suspiciously like, "I did NOT sign up for this shit."

His squad's expressions ranged from "What the actual hell?" to "I'm definitely getting extra hazard pay for this."

One junior officer leaned toward another. "So... we're following a giant eagle carrying a dead snake. Through a jungle. Seems totally normal."

The other just stared. Blinked. "Want to update my resume when we get back?"

Kaiser already realised where the Anaconda king wanted to escape, so he decided to fulfill his wish, it was not like he was using it's intent.

The landscape transformed. From dense green chaos to something... older. Darker. The kind of place where nature's rulebook got thrown out and then set on fire.

It was near a river, with a muddy terrain.

The mud was black, pitch black.

Something massive stirred.

The Black Caiman King awoke, its massive body seemed to grown again. It seemed to have ranked up.

The ground cracked with its steps, unable to support its weight.

It was 20m long, approximately 1000kg or 1 ton.

It was pitch black, with blue engraving on it. Definitely not normal.

Imagine waking up to find a stranger dragging another stranger's corpse into your living room. Except "living room" was "entire ecosystem" and "stranger" was a mana-powered bird, leading another group of strangers in their vehicles with weapons, and they start firing at you.

You would be pissed.

The Black Caiman King, was pissed.

Its eyes - obsidian pools of pure "what the actual f*ck" - locked onto Kaiser.

The ground itself seemed to go, "Oh boy. Here we go again."

The energy readings going out of control just like last time.

Corporal Martin - because of course - started laughing. Not a happy laugh. The kind of laugh that said he'd seen too much and was one bad day away from becoming the villain in this story.

"Another king?" he muttered. "Seriously?"

The Black Caiman King knew the culprit of this situation was Kaiser, but what could it do? Nothing it coudn't attack him. He was in sky.

So it took it's anger on the humans

The Black Caiman King's first movement was ice spikes.

Corporal Martin, having healed a little released crystal spikes on his own.

His spikes were crushed, but it gave them time to avoid the creatures spikes, they started backing up in their vehicle.

They started firing uranium depleted bullets once again.

The creature summoned a Earth wall to block it.

It seems to control two elements.

Battle lines drawn.

No retreat.

Definitely no surrender.

Just another day in the Amazon, Kaiser thought.

Just another day.

***

Well. This escalated quickly.

The Black Caiman King transformed the battlefield into a liquid nightmare.

Hydrobeam erupted first. Not a gentle stream. A pressurized liquid lance capable of cutting through titanium. One of the solider from beta team disappeared - literally liquefied by the concentrated water blast.

"What the ACTUAL-" someone screamed.

but had no time, as the said person dodged to the side, as one more Hydrobeam passed by where his head was at before a second ago.

Earth walls materialized. Geological barriers rising faster than human reflexes. Blocking. Crushing. Redirecting.

Fortification made the Caiman's scales look like living armor. Bullets pinged off like annoying mosquito attempts.

Only grenades, and RPG dealt a moderate damage, tearing its flesh spilling blood.

If that wasnt enough, the creature started healing. In a minute the wound was fully healed.

The creature was truly broken, the only thing that stopped the creature from eliminating them, was it slow speed, likely due to its massive weight.

No wonder the Anaconda King could escape from it.

Kaiser watched. Calculated.

Interesting.

The humans' tactical shift was immediate. Long-range assault transformed. But their secondary target? Him.

Charming.

Bullets whistled. He moved. dodging and weaving with a flap from his wings in different angles.

Then he saw it.

The big guns.

RPGs. Rocket-propelled grenades. Weapons that could turn landscapes into craters.

Time to exit.

The solider from Beta team noticed Kaiser's movement. "Target secondary! Engage!"

'I guess no Bioenergy from the corpse' thought Kaiser

In one smooth motion, he ripped the Anaconda King's core from its corpse. A glowing emerald object pulsing with raw mana .

The core. The prize.

Then he embedded most of his mana onto his wings, while throwing away the corpse, and holding the core with {Weak Telekinesis}

Then with a flap of his wings, he took of in an unbelievable speed of 700 km per hour, approximately 194 meters per second.

Normally the fastest eagles, golden eagles could travel a speed of 322 km per hour. But he was travelling double that speed. The RPG has no way on locking onto him.

The eyes of humans opened wide, as they witnessed the eagles speed.

Then their eyes shined as they watched the corpse of the Anaconda king dropping. But they were not alone, the Black Caiman King also watched it, with clear greed in its eyes.

The humans and the Black Caiman King's eyes locked onto each other.

They both have to duke it out in the end.

They were all setup by an eagle.
