Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 - Breakthrough To Fourth Layer Of Martial Apprentice Realm

After 6 agonizing hours, Xiao Wei completely remove the Corrosive Duskwood poison from his body, simultaneously allowing him to absorb the Spiritual Energy in his dantian.

Suddenly, he smelled a pungent odor in the air, which assaulted his nose that compelled him to open his eyes. Upon doing so, he was met with a disconcerting sight, his body was marred by dark spots. These dark spots were mixture of the residual effects of the Corrosive Duskwood Poison and the various impurities that had accumulated within him over the years, a direct consequence of the poison's insidious influence.

Before Xiao Wei could be overwhelmed by the unbearable odor that surrounded him, he quickly stripped off his clothes to his bare skin and hurried to the bath.

After his emergence from the bath, Xiao Wei experienced a profound sense of invigoration and renewal. The refreshing sensation enveloped him and he checked his Cultivation after realising that he successfully progressed to a new layer.

"Great, I have finnally breakthrough to the Fourth Layer of the Martial Apprentice Realm"Xiao Wei muttered quietly to himself, a wave of satisfaction and achievement flooding over him as he contemplated his advancement.

Some time later, Xiao Wei was sitting cross-legged on the floor, meditating to stabilize his newly advanced Cultivation. Suddenly, he sensed a familiar presence approaching.

With a soft flutter of wings, the shadow bird come back, soaring through the open window before gracefully entering into Xiao Wei's shadow.

The next morning, the training hall bustled with activity as the young generation of the Xiao Clan gathered, their chatter filling the air with excited murmurs. They took their positions, standing straight and attentive, awaiting the day's training session under the watchful eye of Elder Xu.

Elder Xu stepped forward, his imposing presence commanding silence as he prepared to teach them. His gaze swept across the sea of faces before him, lingering briefly on each disciple.

"Esteemed juniors of the Xiao Clan, I have an important announcement to make."Elder Xu said, his voice resonating through the hall,

A hush fell over the crowd as all eyes turned to focus intently on the Elder Xu, curiosity and anticipation hanging heavy in the air.

"In six months, a hunting competition is scheduled to occur among the three clans, creating an atmosphere of anticipation and excitement. Each clan is allowed to send a maximum of 20 participants, all of whom must be under the age of 15. Before the competition, I want everyone to Cultivate diligently so that when the competition start you can showcase your skills and abilities in the upcoming competition"Elder Xu said calmly to the clan members with a momentary pause.

"I will select only the most skilled and capable individuals to represent our clan in this competition. Therefore, it is crucial that each of you puts forth your greatest effort in your training sessions"Elder Xu stated firmly.

His words served as a motivating call to action, urging all young generation to commit themselves fully to their preparation in order to achieve success in the competition.

Xiao Wei who was standing at the back of the group remembered from his memories that the Mo City held this competition every year, which is specifically designed to assess and compare the skills and talents of the younger generations from other clans.

In Mo City, alongside the Xiao Clan, two other influential clans exist: the Mo Clan and the Hu Clan. The Mo Clan is esteemed as the most powerful faction in the city and holds the title of the governing clan of Mo City. The leader of Mo City concurrently serves as the head of the Mo Clan, a role that emphasizes his dominance and influence. Currently, he has reached the Seventh Layer of the Grandmaster Realm, establishing him as the most formidable figure in the city. In comparison, the leader of the Xiao Clan has only achieved the Fourth Layer of the Grandmaster Realm, while the head of the Hu Clan achieved the Fifth Layer of the Grandmaster Realm. This hierarchy of power among the clans accentuates the competitive spirit of the annual competition, as each clan strives to showcase the capabilities of there younger members.

After the announcement regarding the upcoming competition, Elder Xu instructed the students to continue their practice of the Tiger Claw technique, as they had done in there previous training sessions.

In response, all the students began to diligently practice the move within the designated training hall, focusing on perfecting their technique and ensuring the precision of their movements.

Amidst the sounds of concentrated effort, a triumphant voice suddenly pierced the air.

"Haha... I have finally mastered the Tiger Claw technique!"Xiao Yen exclaimed, his voice filled with excitement and pride.

Xiao Li, who was standing next to Xiao Yen, began to flatter him with enthusiasm.

"Congratulations, Young Master Yen! You are truly a genius; you have mastered the technique so quickly"Xiao Li remarked.

At that moment, Elder Xu's voice emerged from behind Xiao Li.

"Do not become overly pleased; you have not yet fully mastered the technique. You have only grasped a small portion of it, which is why your technique's power remains limited. The process of mastering the technique is divided into four stages: Initial Stage, Minor Perfection, Major Perfection, and Great Perfection. It is only upon reaching the Major Perfection stage that you will be able to perform at my level. And when you achieve Perfect Perfection, you will even have the capability to injure a Tier 3 Monster"Elder Xu explained methodically.

Xiao Yen's expression changed to one of realization and humility as he listened to Elder Xu's explanation. He looked down, acknowledging the elder's words with a nod.

"Yes, Elder Xu, you're right. I still have much to learn and improve upon. My current mastery of the Tiger Claw technique is merely a fraction of what lies ahead"Xiao Yen admitted humbly.

He glanced over at Xiao Li, noticing the latter's continued admiration and praise. A hint of annoyance flashed in Xiao Yen's eyes, but he suppressed it, choosing instead to focus on his own growth and improvement.
