...
The King was not foolish, he knew that, sooner or later, those nobles would make a mistake, giving him the perfect excuse to eliminate them. But… who said he couldn't subtly provoke them into committing those crimes theirself? That human boy was the perfect pretext. The moment the nobles learned that a mere human would become the heir to the throne and the princess's fiancé, they would undoubtedly try to get rid of him.
Taking advantage of that reaction, the King would finally dispose of those troublesome nobles, as attacking the heir to the throne was a crime punishable by death. This time, they wouldn't escape judgment. And the best part? The boy would have the chance to prove whether he truly deserved the title of heir. A king must be gentle and protective toward his people, but ruthless with his enemies.
These assassination attempts would give the boy experience, strengthen his resolve, and help him realize that the only way to stop the attacks would be to cut the problem at its root by eliminating those foolish nobles. But before the boy could kill them himself, the King would step in, publicly try them for their crimes, and have them executed once and for all.
It was a flawless plan in every respect, everything would unfold exactly as he intended, without him ever having to rise from his throne.
Zastin was surprised by the insight his king had shown.
"However, before I make it public that he will be my heir, I have to meet my future son-in-law. Bring him before me tomorrow. For the time being, a video call will be enough, but in the future, when he is worthy to be in my presence, I will go and pay him a visit myself" – said the king with a smile.
Zastin got a chill. It seems that the future was destined to be troublesome again.
"Your Majesty. If the boy is in mortal danger... should I save him?" – Zastin asked.
"No. If he dies, that means he is not worth to be my heir. Don't even think about intervening no matter what happens" – said the king.
"Got it" - Zastin said.
Actually, he already assumed it, but he had to ask anyway just in case.
"And having said that, bring him to me as soon as possible. I will be waiting" - said the king.
"Your Majesty, on this planet it is already night and the new heir is still recovering from his injuries. I think it would be wise to wait until tomorrow to give him time to recover 100%" - Zastin said.
"Okay, but bring him to me as soon as he recovers" – said the king.
"Of course" - Zattin nodded.
Then the screen turned off and Zastin was finally able to relax a bit and maybe grab a bite to eat.
"It looks like from now on things are going to get a lot more interesting" - Zastin said.
As soon as those nobles learn about Akira's identity, they will come for him in a very short time, which, from now on, Akira's life was destined to undergo a radical change, a change that would decide his fate for the rest of his life.
…
With Akira.
After I got home, Lala helped me up the stairs and gently laid me down on the bed.
"I'm sorry" – I said.
"Why are you apologising to me?" – Lala asked.
"For making you carry me all the way here" – I said.
"Fool... how can I not help the man I love and who is willing to fight for me?" – Lala said with a smile.
"I guess you're right" – I nodded.
"Of course I do. You only say those things because you're exhausted. You should sleep well" – Lala said with a smile.
"Lala-sama, we'd better let Akira-sama sleep alone today" - Peke suggested.
"But Peke, Akira is injured, I can't leave him in that condition" – Lala said.
"Don't worry, I'm not hurt, just tired. Using all that power made me quite tired, but with a little sleep I will recover. In fact, tomorrow I will be as good as new..." – I said calmly.
But as I said those words, my eyelids began to weigh more and more, as if suddenly, my eyelids were made of metal and forced me to close my eyes due to the enormous weight. Only the next day would I understand that I fell asleep due to the enormous tiredness I felt.
"Lala-sama, Akira-sama is indeed a good man. He even fought Zastin-sama for you" - Peke said.
The truth is that at first she didn't expect much from that human, she just treated him with respect because Lala did the same, but after seeing today's fight and the reason why Akira did all this, Peke changed her mind. In truth, Akira was a good person and the right man for Lala.
"Yes, he is the best man in the world and my future husband" – Lala nodded.
The love Lala felt for Akira grew stronger with each passing day. After witnessing how he fought for her, for their future together and, most importantly, because he truly loved her, her feelings underwent an exponential change. Now, she was certain. If she had merely liked Akira before, now she was completely in love with him. After all, he was the only one who had truly cared for her all these years. Every other man had only wanted her out of self-interest.
"You have found a good fiancé, Lala-sama and who would have thought he would be on Earth" – Peke nodded.
It's funny, Lala never imagined that the man she would fall in love with forever would be on planet Earth, a world that wasn't even very technologically advanced and was quite primitive compared to her own. But life has a strange way of leading us to places we never thought we'd end up.
"Yes..." – Lala nodded.
Then, she lowered her head and her lips met Akira's, thus sharing their first kiss.
"I love you, Akira" – Lala said sincerely.
"Lala-sama's first kiss... it's a shame not to have a camera to have captured this moment" – Peke lamented.
…
The next morning.
Like every morning, the warm rays of the solo woke up our protagonist, who opened his eyes slowly as he remembered yesterday.
I opened my eyes slowly while I remembered everything that had happened yesterday. Zastin challenged me to a fight to see if I was worthy of Lala or not, I was defeated, but suddenly the Omnitrix unlocked a new alien that helped me beat Zastin or at least win the bet because I'm sure Zastin didn't use his true power.
"This Zastin is truly powerful, but I am no less. Someday I will surpass him" – I said.
But there was a small problem. How to do that? The alien that gave me the Omnitrix definitely did its job, but even with that alien I was unable to defeat Zastin. How could I defeat him in the future?
"Omnitrix: Is there a way for my aliens to get stronger?" – I asked.
This time, I was lucky enough to unlock a new alien, but there's no guarantee the same will happen next time. It might've just been a stroke of luck. And while I'm certain that gaining more experience will make me stronger… I seriously doubt it'll be enough to defeat Zastin, let alone Gid, who's undoubtedly far more powerful.
Gid was already a force to be reckoned with in the original manga, so I don't even want to imagine how strong he must be in this timeline.
[As the Omnitrix host uses different aliens, those aliens will gradually grow stronger without the host needing to undergo any form of training.]
"Oh… So all I need to do is keep using various aliens and their abilities. That way, they'll grow stronger little by little. Is that what you're trying to tell me?" - I asked.
[Yes.]
"By the way, it's kind of rare for you to talk. Do you have some sort of consciousness now or something?" I asked curiously.
[This is just a pre-recorded message programmed to activate in case the Omnitrix host asks this exact question]
"And why did you answer me?" – I asked again.
[All possible reactions, questions and answers are included in this pre-recorded message, so the answers to the host's questions have already been predicted in advance. This is not a system that interacts with his host]
"So... do you have more of those pre-recorded messages?" – I asked again.
But this time I didn't get any answers.
"It seems that he really has no consciousness of his own..." – I said.
Anyway, now that I'm aware of that information, I don't need a system. As long as I keep using my aliens and their abilities, they'll naturally grow stronger. All I have to do is transform and gain experience. That's how I'll become stronger, stronger than Zastin… no, stronger than Gid, the king of the galaxy.
With that goal in mind, and now knowing exactly how to grow more powerful, a surge of energy flooded my body. Deep down, I had the feeling that today was destined to be a great day.
"By the way… what time is it?" - I muttered.
I reached over to my nightstand, grabbed my smartphone, and checked the time. It was still pretty early, plenty of time before school, but I was so energized I couldn't stay in bed a moment longer. I had to make the most of the day!
"Huh… Lala's not here this morning. Maybe she's still asleep? If that's the case, I'll head downstairs early and make a delicious breakfast" - I said with a smile.
I was just happy.
That said, I got dressed, left my room, and quietly made my way downstairs, trying not to make any noise. But to my surprise, the delicious aroma of food and the sound of oil sizzling in the pan greeted me.
"Ah! Good morning, Akira! Are you feeling better?" - Lala asked with a cheerful smile.
She was cooking, but wearing nothing but an apron, which left her beautiful backside completely exposed. Yeah… today's not the day for a sex-ed lesson.
"Um… what exactly are you doing?" - I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Today I decided to make breakfast myself! Peke told me that a good wife helps her husband with the housework and takes care of him when he's sick, so I'm making breakfast all on my own!" - she replied excitedly.
Peke was sitting on the couch, and when she heard Lala mention her, she quickly waved.
"Good morning, Akira-sama. How are you feeling today?" - Peke asked politely.
Before she did not hear Lala because she was watching television and did not know, but as soon as she was named, she was startled and spoke.
"Very good, thank you" – I said.
Then I looked at Lala.
"I'm glad you helped, but why are you wearing only an apron? Where are the rest of your clothes?" – I asked.
"Peke says that men like to see their women cooking only in an apron. She said that gives them energy" – said Lala.
I looked at Peke, but not with a look of resentment, but with a look of approval. Peke has only been here for a day, but I already like her.
"Anyway I think it's time for Peke and I to give you sex education classes, otherwise, I won't be able to contain myself for much longer" - I said.
All that cooking naked and with only an apron was undoubtedly a luxury that very few can have, but... if I can't eat the delicious cake in front of me. What is the use of she being naked?
"Take a deep breath, Akira. Just a little more and you'll never have to resist again" – I said in my mind.
