Chapter 23 - Chapter 23 - You can leave the dungeon.

This author would like to receive your power stones. Can I?

####

I hunted in the dungeon using Zoro's body to see how quickly he could level up. I was on the fifth floor, so the experience gain was a bit better. After hunting for over an hour, I had already gained three levels!

And his stats were increasing significantly with each level.

Even his skills were leveling up quickly. I had only used them a few times, but they had already reached level 3. I felt jealous—now I need a lot of experience to level up.

But of course, as my clones evolve, they also need more experience to level up.

I deactivated the "NeuroLink" skill and returned to my own body. After preparing something to eat, I started thinking about what I should do next. "I think I'm wasting this ability by keeping my clones stuck in the dungeon."

Sure, I want to level up fast, but wouldn't it be fun to throw my clones into Orario and see what happens?

Can you imagine Frieren walking around the city?

And Berserker?

This might be fun.

Since I have the "Senses" skill and NeuroLink, I can monitor the clones "progress." Besides, I've grown a lot stronger and will only keep getting stronger. I think it's fine to let myself have a little fun.

"And since their appearances have changed and Ottar has never seen their faces, they can probably leave the dungeon without their masks. It's not a big deal if some of them die, anyway."

So, I gave the clones a command.

"All of you. You're free to leave the dungeon and head into the city if you want. Try to act like normal people, interact with others, make friends, and earn everyone's trust."

[Are you sure, Master?]

I heard Frieren's voice in my mind.

"Yes. But be careful—don't let anyone find out you're clones. And if you get the chance to join a Familia, don't waste it. But talk to me first."

[What about the masks?] Chen asked.

"It's better to take advantage of the fact that random people have started wearing masks to get rid of them. Not all of you need to leave the dungeon, but I'd like to see Zoro, Frieren, Akame, Natsu, Aizen, Berserker, and Akitsu living among ordinary people."

[I see. This could be fun, Master. If that's what you want, we'll do it.]

"Of course, keep going to the dungeon now and then. Don't stop evolving."

[Got it!]

I heard several voices in my head and shouted, "One at a time, please!"

[Got it!]

"Argh."

Now I just have to wait and see what kind of chaos the clones will cause.

I sat on the living room couch, holding a cup of tea, and started laughing as I imagined different scenarios in my head.

After giving the clones their orders, I remembered a big problem: they were all still wearing the same outfits. I told them not to leave the dungeon yet and opened the skill catalog.

"There's every kind of skill here. There must be one that can help with this." I started scanning the list. It was long, and there was no search function—I had to go through each one manually.

After a while, I found the perfect skill.

[Wardrobe]

[Allows the user to create any type of clothing.]

"This is perfect for the current situation. So convenient. I'm sure this will happen many times in the future, considering how huge the skill list is."

I bought it for just 10 points.

It didn't have a level, just like the Mask skill.

My first test was creating Frieren's outfit.

First, a black and white striped shirt. Then a skirt, a long-sleeved jacket, and her black belt. Of course, I didn't forget the golden details of her outfit and her pantyhose.

I even made her shoes.

All I had to do was picture everything in my mind.

Once I finished, I summoned Frieren.

Then, holding the clothes in my hands, I wished for her to wear them.

Her outfit was replaced with the one I had created.

The armor was still equipped in her status and layered over her new clothes. And she was still wearing the mask.

So, I removed all the equipment from her status.

I looked her up and down. She was a perfect copy of Frieren.

"Incredible. I did a great job."

I dispelled the Frieren clone and took control of Chen's body again.

Then, I began changing the outfits of the other characters I'd created.

It took a while to finish making clothes for Akame, Natsu, Zoro, Berserker, Akitsu, and Aizen, but in the end, it all worked out. The only one I couldn't replicate accurately was Akitsu's.

I don't remember her appearance that well.

"Now that everyone is dressed like the original characters, I should remove their armor and buy a different weapon for each one. Looks like I'll have to visit Welf's shop again."

While I buy weapons and gear for the clones, I think I'll let them have some fun.

I took control of clone number 16, who was on the second floor, and summoned all the character clones. I gave up on sending the other clones out. I told Chen, Zen, Ken, and Lee that they could leave at another time.

All the character clones were without armor, each holding just a sword.

Except for Frieren and Natsu. They didn't have swords.

I asked everyone to split up and leave the dungeon gradually to avoid drawing attention. After giving them this order, I deactivated the NeuroLink skill.

POV: Frieren

I recently received new clothes from Master. Clothes I had never worn before, yet somehow they felt strangely familiar. And after getting them, Master's order was: Leave the dungeon.

He told me to live, make friends, and gain people's trust.

How do I do that?

I don't understand any of it. I don't know how humans feel, how they function, or how to gain their trust. It feels impossible to get close to them.

But these were Master's orders, so I must obey.

He told me to try joining a Familia, but I don't even know what that is—he never explained.

"Alright, time to go."

I had moved away from the other clones and was now climbing the spiral stairs out of the dungeon. As soon as I emerged, I saw several humans. All of them were staring at me.

It felt a little uncomfortable.

It was the first time anyone other than Master had seen my face without the mask.

I hadn't met many humans since I was born, and every time I did, I was wearing that mask.

"Hey, isn't that girl an elf?"

"Why does her hair look like that? Have you seen her before?"

"I've never seen her. I'd remember if I had."

People started whispering about me.

I looked around, scanning every human in sight.

Then I walked toward the group that had been talking about me. The people nearby stepped back, and the three women who had been speaking looked a little nervous as I approached.

I did my best to smile.

The corners of my lips curled into a weak smile as I met the eyes of the woman in the center.

"Hello," I said. "My name is Frieren." I kept my smile on.

This is how I'm supposed to act, right?

"..." The woman froze, unsure of how to respond. She glanced at the other two beside her.

I waited, but she didn't say anything.

Then I heard murmurs behind me.

"Hey, isn't that guy huge? Who is he?"

It was Berserker, looking as intimidating as ever.

I looked at him, then turned back to the women—but they were gone.

I sighed, and my smile faded.

"What am I supposed to do?"

So I started walking through the city.

With every step, I encountered more humans, and they all looked at me like I was a freak.

Walking briskly, I kept calm and faced forward. Every human I met treated me like a nuisance. They stared, looked startled, then walked away.

No one wanted to talk to me for some reason.

Minutes passed.

I stopped in front of a building.

"Guild?" I stared at the sign, then at the door.

Not knowing what to expect, I walked inside.

"Waaaah? Who is that beautiful girl?"
