The knocking grew louder. Thud. Thud. THUD.
He peeled back the floorboard. Shining his flashlight inside.
White cloth. Heavy. Damp.
Unwrapping. One layer. Two. Three.
A hand. Decomposing. Female. A ring on the finger.
Su-yeon...
His stomach turned. He staggered back. The diary slipped from his hand.
December 10. 'She saw me talk to him in the mirror.'
December 20. 'He thinks she's dangerous.'
December 25. 'She must not get hurt.'
Then— The handwriting changed. "I have silenced her forever."
His breath caught.
He… I… did this.
Why now? Why remember this now?
Because he wanted me to.
Because he's coming back.
He ran to the bathroom. Faced the mirror.
"Why did you kill her?!"
The reflection… smiled.
'She tried to separate us.'
That voice. That smile.
"You're not me!"
'I'm the part you buried. The one who took care of things.'
'You erased me. But I returned.'
"What do you want?!"
'Balance. Reunion. Price.'
Price?
'Su-yeon was first. But she won't be the last.'
No. Eun-young.
"Don't touch her!"
'You can't stop me. I'm inside you. I am you.'
CRASH. The mirror shattered.
Fragments everywhere. His smile in every shard.
'You can never erase me.'
He fled. Back to the hand. The truth.
The diary's final page:
'I will erase him. I will stab my memory with this pencil.'
'But if he returns... go back. Find. Remember.'
He picked up the pencil.
His body froze.
'It's already too late, Ji-hoon.'
His hand moved on its own. Picked up a shard.
In the reflection— That smile.
'Now it's my turn.'
