Chapter 32 - Sword Core

Upon looking below, specifically on his torso, Rashin stood in silence so as Spiren. As the sun light was washing the world around them, some rays fell on his on him and made... a reflection. Something was present in his torso that made that reflection.

Soon, those rays increased and lighted up his face. His eyes, however, Was widened as hell. Spiren with only a single word broke the silence.

"Don't... I told you not to look. It's all my fault." Spiren lowered his gaze and stood, biting himself from the inside out of regret. What Rashin saw was a curved metal lowering its edge below a bit.

That curved metal was none other than... Spiren's Katana!! It was residing within him as if it was planted in his body, centering in the middle of his torso. Rashin paused for a moment, trying to realize how in the hell he is still alive with a whole Katana piercing his flesh from both sides!

In fact, not a single drop of blood had came out of his mouth or even from where the sword had penetrated him! The sword just penetrated his torso silently and peacefully.

Rashin stared at Spiren and asked in a calm tone:

"Spiren, what happened after my death?"

Spiren raised his head and met Rashin's eyes. sighing, he sat down and pointed with his fingers for Rashin to sit beside him.

"Listen, Rashin." Rashin sat and he now he is all ears.

"After you died..."

***

"RASHIN!!!" After Spiren had shouted his name, he tried to stand on his feet out of anger but he couldn't. He tried again and again but it was all in vain.

Parmas who just stood there, took all of Rashin attacks and watched him fall and die without any reaction... except smiling wider than his face could hold.

"The target has been assassinated. Initiating mercy protocol." The Mantis uttered some words that only agencies could make.

Parmas proceeded to walk towards the fallen White Blood and took his Katana which were on the ground near Spiren but also was out of his reach.

Parmas then grabbed Rashin from his hair raising his bloody corpse high in the sky with ease. Even Rashin's feet were hovering slightly above the ground, only because of height differences.

In less than a second, Parmas inserted the Katana from the back, penetrating him from the front and let him to fall helplessly to the ground once more.

Spiren watched all of that with killing intent in his eyes, his blood was boiling out of terrifying anger, but he couldn't stand up or do anything. In the end, Parmas waved at Spiren, informing that he was the victor in both his fight against him and Rashin and also fulfilled his mission.

"The Mantis, initiating retreat." With those words, Spiren disappeared into a blur and took his leave.

***

"...That's what happened, Rashin."

"Hmm, So that bastard inserted your katana in me after my death." Spiren was immersed in telling him what happened until finally he realized something vital.

"Yes, that's true... wait! Did you just say... After my death?!" Perplexed and shocked, Spiren was looking at Rashin and then his sword in his body and then Rashin and then the sword once more.

Silent: "That's hilarious!"

"I will explain everything soon, Spiren." Informing Spiren that there was a reason behind all of that, Spiren relaxed a bit and silence devoured the sacred region once more. Yet, the Fallen Corpse's subconscious resisted that silence.

'Fortunately, that assassin didn't pierce me while I was alive. The fact of being killed by someone else always makes me feel unease. Wait!'

An idea suddenly popped into his mind, looking at Spiren he said:

"Spiren, You don't have another katana, right?" Spiren glanced at the Fallen Corpse and nodded.

"I have an idea! But don't be surprised..." Spiren with perplexation stared at Rashin, waiting for him to continue.

"Listen carefully, and do what I tell you. If you messed up... I will be dead for real this time."

Rashin have put so much weight in his words that made Spiren feel heavy hearing it. The White Blood nodded and looked seriously.

"I'm ready!"

"Then..."

***

Rashin was present in the middle of the pristine white road with the sacred waterfalls on both of his sides. HE straightened his arms arms forward and bent his elbows with a right angle, making his fists -which were taking the shape of a claw- face the sky.

"Crimson... Gauntlet!" So many small sparks existed around his hands, this time they weren't white. They were pure red sparks. The crimson sparks took the shape of the gauntlet and disappeared right after. Rashin closed his fists, lowered his arm, and posed to deliver some punches through the air.

Spiren was standing by, waiting for a specific moment to be able to retrieve his weapon from the Fallen Corpse's flesh... Well, he isn't a Fallen Corpse anymore.

Rashin started training strength with so many blows being shot in a short margin of time. Rashin now can punch two to three blows in a single second.

After 27 seconds of delivering many blows through the air, the Curse of the Fallen Corpse came to life and made Rashin start dropping some blood.

Once he reached about 200 blows, His body was on the verge of falling and his punching speed decreased rapidly, but he had a plan for this. Before Rashin could fall on the ground he raised his hand toward his mouth and took a chunk out of his flesh.

Resulting in his death and his helpless fall to the ground. That's when Spiren had to move but he waited for sometime.

He waited to make sure that Rashin was totally dead! One minute has passed since Rashin touched the ground without any movement and then Spiren took his move. The White blood held his sword's handle that was present on the back of Rashin's corpse and gripped it tightly.

"Here I go... Brother!" With a swift motion, Spiren tried to raise and retrieve his sword but for some reason... The Katana was stuck! It's like the sword refuses to be pulled out!

The White Blood's katana is now a significant part of the Fallen Corpse!
