Jay-jay's POV
*Yaaaawwwwnnnnnn*
It's not over yet but I'm already sleepy. I'm going to school now.
I went home first to get some stuff and get dressed. I still had Snorlax with me. Snorlax and I were right next to each other!
I went there at 6pm, because I had been doing something else earlier.
Besides looking for Kuya'ng Blue Eyes, whose name is Percy. Who is he really? When I entered the school, there were still a lot of people. There was still a program in the auditorium. I went straight to our room. That was already arranged. We had already moved the tables and benches.
When I entered, they were all talking to each other. There was still someone who couldn't wait.ng shades and shorts, I couldn't see his face properly.
"Where did you get that thing you're holding?" Ci-N asked me.
"I got it earlier at the game." I quickly answered.
I put down my bag and took out my sleeping bag. I also took out my chutchirya, which was a big mistake.
The Eagle got it!
"Thug life." Ci-N said and struggled with the cobras who took my food.
I just sorted out my stuff. At 7pm, they came out Calix, they were carrying a flashlight.
We were still waiting for the program to end. Since today was the first day, they said it would end early.
I was planning to sleep because I was curious about what Ci-N and the others were talking about.
"There really is... I saw it." Eren said.
"They said it really is." Ci-N replied.
"Josh, he has a third eye. Let's ask him." The one they were talking to answered.
Josh, our quiet classmate. Always asleep and when he spoke, it was scary. His voice was so weak, it sounded like he was having a conscience.
Talking about ghosts.
I was suddenly terrified. I didn't want ghosts. Yes... They wouldn't hurt me but---Hello?!---it was still scary!
"The program is over!" Someone shouted so we stood up.
I put my bag aside as well as Snorlax. We went out and closed the room. We went straight to the auditorium, where people were already leaving.
Ci-N's garbage bag reached me. When people left, we started cleaning up.
"Would you look at that?"
I stopped because of what he said. Who else was it?----it was Freya the witch!
She was still hugging Kiko's arm, and it was obvious that she was irritated by him.
"The Task is your thing. Trash!" SHe said and smiled angrily.
I opened the garbage bag loosely and faced Freya. "Go in!" I ordered her.
SHe looked at me angrily. "Why would I do that?!"
"You're trash, right? Your rotten habits stink! Go in!"
SHe waved her hand and raised an eyebrow at me. "Excuse me! You and the whole Section E are the trash not me!"
I imitated his posture. "Even though we're trash in your eyes, we still have some use!"
SHe suddenly acted as if in shock. "Don't imitate me! My reputation is being ruined!"
Wow!
"What reputation? Of being a coloring book? Or having a rotten habit?"
He was about to respond when Kiko suddenly grabbed her. He pushed Freya away while she struggled.
Yuri and I came over to me. "Are you okay Jay?"
I nodded.
"It's true... They're Kiko and I." Ci-N said.
Yes, that's not mine anymore. I just trashed him. But somehow, something in me still objected.
We went back to cleaning. We collected the trash outside the auditorium. We didn't have any problems outside. The school is strict when it comes to littering, so the trash cans are almost next to each other.
We went back to the room. It was only 9:30 pm, so boring! I wanted to sleep because I might have a hard time waking up. When we arrived, I immediately took Snorlax and sat next to David. He was watching a movie on his tablet.
"I'm watching..." I said.
He brought the tablet closer to me. I waited for the title of the movie to suddenly appear-----Conjuring 2!
Shutang'names naman!
I don't want that! That's scary! I'm crying!
"I just don't want to watch anymore." I said and slightly pushed the tablet at David.
"Why? Are you scared?" He asked me.
I shook my head. "No... I just don't want to."
"Stay here... I don't have anyone to watch with." He said and brought the tablet closer to me.
I shouldn't have, because I also didn't want to leave David. How embarrassing!
I was forced to watch----aaaarrrggghhhh!!! The nun!Iiiiikkkkkkk!! It's scary!
"Why are you turning pale, Jay?" Ci-N asked me.
"W-nothing..." I answered and bit my lip.
Because that's it! The nun!
The movie we were watching ended. I was still hugging Snorlax, and I'll admit—I was scared! I felt like if I looked in any other direction, I'd see that nun.
"11 p.m. duty!" Keifer shouted, and everyone stood up.
Me? I was still sitting! I didn't want to go.
"Come on!" David urged me.
I was forced to stand and leave Snorlax in the corner. I also grabbed the flashlight they handed out. I stayed in the middle of the group, keeping quiet. We met the earlier shift at the main building.
"Your turn... We're going to sleep," Kit said as they walked back to their room.
"We're heading to the back of the gymnasium first. That's where troublemakers usually hide," Keifer said, leading the way.
I kept my eyes straight ahead. I didn't want to look anywhere else—what if I saw something—
"Aaaahhh!" I screamed.
Ci-N had poked me. That jerk!
"What's wrong with you?"
"You scared me, you idiot!" I snapped at him. "...Wait, why are you even here?! I thought you had a match tomorrow?!"
That's when I remembered—Yuri said they didn't have to do duty.
"We practiced in our room," Ci-N answered.
That explained it. But I hadn't seen them there earlier. We arrived at the gymnasium, but there was no one around.
We moved on to the auditorium—also empty.
"Okay... Let's split up. Groups of two," Keifer instructed.
I immediately clung to David—he was the closest to me. But then Yuri suddenly grabbed me by the collar from behind.
"You can't go with David," he said.
"Why not?" I asked.
"B-because... w-well..." Yuri stammered.
"Maybe his girlfriend would get mad," Ci-N teased.
"Y-yeah... That's right," Yuri added, avoiding my eyes.
"Let's just play a game to decide—without David," Eren suggested.
We got into position, leaving David—who was obviously confused—out.
"One out!" we all shouted. Eren was the first one out, so he paired up with David. We reset.
"One out!"
Ci-N was out next and had to step aside. Before we started again, I noticed Yuri getting really serious about the game. Dude, there's no jackpot prize! Relax!
"One out!"
Finally, Yuri was out, which left me paired with Keifer. Great... just my luck. He's definitely possessed!
"Okay... David and Eren, check the freshman building. Yuri and Ci-N, cover the sophomore building. We'll take the junior building," Keifer ordered, and we all went our separate ways.
We headed to the junior building area. Just like our section, they had a main building and a cafeteria—only their auditorium was closer, while our gymnasium was within arm's reach. Our school's pretty fancy—having separate buildings for the auditorium and gymnasium.
We entered the main building. It was pretty dark—probably because the utilities focused all the electricity on the booths and stalls.
"After this, we'll check out the booths and stalls in front of our main building," Keifer said as we kept walking.
"O-okay."
We kept moving and headed up to the second floor.
THUD
WHAT WAS THAT?! TIME TO GO HOME!
"Let go of me!" Keifer yelled.
I looked at myself—and realized I was clinging to him out of fear. Embarrassed, I let go and straightened myself up.
"Let's check it out," he ordered.
I shook my head furiously. Hell no! In horror movies, this is where people die!
"What if it's a thief?" he reasoned.
"What if it's not?"
"How will we know if we don't check?"
"What if we just go back and call for reinforcements?" I argued.
He glared at me. "Come on! Don't waste time!" He grabbed my hand and dragged me along.
I tried to shake off my fear by humming One Republic's "Secrets."
"What song is that?" Keifer suddenly asked.
"Secrets by One Republic."
He just nodded in response. I'd heard it on the radio the other day.
"Keifer... Can I make a request? Can you guys play that at the Battle of the Bands?"
"I'll ask them about it," he replied.
We stopped in front of a classroom—the door was open. Keifer peeked inside first, slowly opening it wider. He went in ahead.
All we found was a broken picture frame on the floor—probably fell off the wall. Keifer ignored it and was about to leave when he suddenly froze.
Shock and fear spread across his face as he looked at me—no, behind me.
"W-what?" I asked, my voice shaking.
I felt cold—like an air conditioner was blowing directly on my back.
He swallowed hard and slowly pointed behind me.
Oh no! I knew it! This is it!
I turned my head slowly...
And...
And...
AND...
OH MY GOD! WHITE LADY!!
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!"
